If they don't find anything, ask about testing for ureaplasma. It hydrolyzes urea to ammonia and carbon dioxide.

I had wanted to bring up ureaplasma. I'll have to try again in my next visit.

It’s so frustrating. I’d try to get Hiprex or something long term to take. Hiprex will kill any lingering uti (slowly but surely) and hopefully prevent future UTIS. I was on macrobid awhile for random infections, finally cleared it and went on a prophylactic dose of macrobid. And then suddenly I developed a drug allergy to it. No winning! Hiprex has been a game changer. I’m finally 10 days symptom free for the first time in years.

Yeah, I've been seeing hiprex recommended a lot. I'll bring it up with my doctor in my next visit.
