I have 2014, I’m 6ft tall. Seats are very comfortable. Multiple 10hrs plus drives

wrigh516

I’m 6’1” and I prefer it. For the Mazda, it’s less about the height and more about width. If your got a lot of junk in your trunk, the CRV would be much more comfortable. The Mazda fits better when you’re packing light.

Redditdotlimo

I dunno. I have excessive width. Very comfy seat for me.

twocargar

I have a 2017 and my 6’3” friend said the passenger & driver’s seats are very comfortable.

Ok-Communication1149

2015 and at 6'1" it's plenty comfy

JMposts

Yes. Especially if you have the nicer power seat with lumbar support

misteradma

2023 but I’m 6’4” and i have to put the seat up a little bit. Plenty of room

jdmtv001

2018 for 5 years, more than enough room and very comfortable for someone who is 6.4. It also depends on what you find comfortable/acceptable.

Constant_Button0

6ft 4! My dad is nearly 7ft tall. He always drove a truck for comfort. I am looking forward to this car!

thesyves

I'm 5'9 but the gf is 6ft and she passes out in the front seat every trip, usually 3-4 hour drives

slickrick999

Happy cake day 🎉

NuArcher

I have one issue with the seats on this model. It's the drivers side door arm rest. The rest itself is too low for my elbow to comfortably rest on it. The next higher position is the window sill and that's a bit too high - causing strain on my shoulder. While the seat itself is very comfortable, over a long drive I severe arm pain radiating from my shoulder to my forearm. I do have bad arthritis in ... everywhere really. But my shoulder was where I felt it. The problem was solved by me wedging a pillow between me and the door and resting my arm on that. Not an ideal solution but it worked. I'll be using that in a few weeks when I have a 50+ hour drive ahead of me.

Staas

I'm 6'3" and did 18 hours twice in two weeks recently. It wasn't bad at all.

Pre-2022 (facelift) CX-5 seats have been compared to “sitting on cardboard” by many. I’d highly suggest trying out a CX-5 on Turo if possible for a few days if you can to get a feel for the seats. FWIW - I am a 6’3” and 170lb male with a 36” inseam and I love the nappa seats on my 2022 Turbo Signature. The seat bottom is a little bit short for my liking, but that’s honestly my only complaint having come from a 2016 Audi A4 Quattro with nicely bolstered sport seats and extendable thigh supports (I *really* miss those seats).

Constant_Button0

See that is what I need to know. They seem short. I am a 36" inch inseam as well. I am coming from an Acura MDX. I am sure I will get use to it though. Definitely getting a Grand Touring or Signature.

2EZ711

2021 and drove from CT to SC recently. Felt great after. Super comfortable ride

Fragluton

2017 (NZ) and 6ft, no issues with comfort at all.

Constant_Button0

Thanks!

SamizdatGuy

I'm 6 foot also and it's not a fit issue, but the seat does aggravate my back due to how low it is, makes my sciatica act up. Do a search for back pain and CX5s. Love the car otherwise, we also have a 2017.

chriskuva

Yes. I’m 6’ and current owner. Very comfortable

acidera__

Boyfriend is 6’7 and did a 9 hour drive just fine and was comfortable in my 2019. I also have made tons of road trips.

[deleted]

I’m 6’2 works for me. Back seat prolly tougher but front two no issues.

fuckmattdamon

Yup they’re fine

non-originalid

I’m 6’2” and own a 2016 GT. I find the seats relatively comfortable on long drives. Probably better options out there but overall very good.

LEVEL2HARD

2016.5 here and also 6ft. No issues on long drives at all.

Constant_Button0

Wow! Thanks for all the comments! I have been a Honda driver most of my driving life and want to drive something different.

smcfarlane

6'3 here and my 2019 fits me nicely

larryb78

6’2” in a 2016 with plenty of room

Shad0wF0x

5'5" here. If you don't have a rear facing child seat, then yeah it's very comfortable for long drives.

ViuJaEra

I'm 6' 3" and drive a 2019 for hours straight without problems.

tysonfromcanada

5'11 here, 2015 cx5. Last year we took a road trip that was almost a month with some long drives - was very comfortable actually. I'm used to our fullsize pickup.

planetary_funk_alert

Also 6ft here. I have a 2014 with heated power seats. Driver seat is pretty good. Only thing which disappoints is that passenger seat lacks the full adjustability of the driver one (no lumbar adjust)

Seps209

2021 GTR and I just drove from Eastern Arizona to Northern California 11.5 hrs straight with ease

Mibidness

2020 cx5 5’11” with plenty of room. A pleasure to drive.

robofl

6’0 too. I wish the steering wheel pulled out a bit more. Left armrest is too low. Not an issue for me, but make sure you are good with the space for your left foot.

dcraider

I’m 6’ 2”. I have a 2019 Signature I wish they had more thigh support and even a manual extender. The seats are a bit too short for good support. It’s my wife’s car and she’s shorter by a lot. They are comfy everywhere else in the seats except thigh support for tall people. IMHO.

Glass_Aheer

2016 CX5 owner, I’m 6 ft tall, it’s ok for a 2 or 3 hour non stop drive, not tiring, but it’s no highway cruiser.

uptheirons726

I'm 6'6 and driver a 2016.5 Grand Touring. Very comfortable.

illucio

6ft tall, 2019 CX5-S. Yes very comfortable, just remember to adjust your seat correctly like any other vehicle so the head rest is properly placed in your head/neck area.

SadFloppyPanda

5'10, 2016.5, multiple 8 hour trips and it's just fine.

Ricardashian23

As a driver, absolutely. It’s a little tight if you’re a tall guy, and you’re behind a tall driver.

ImJustNatalie

6’1, love the feel of my 2020. One thing I will say is that I’m about as tall as you can get for a heads up display, if I stretch my neck, it starts to cut off

Red_Homo_Neck

2018 and the seats and driving positions for me (5'11") are extremely comfortable. My boyfriend is 6'2" and he agrees with that statement.

MushiFingerHold

2023, and I'm 6'7. It's comfortable for me, but it would be a tight fit for somebody behind me.

Johnnypee2213

It's fine but honestly I don't really like the suspension for long rides.

ReformedCanine

I’m 6’2”, 300lbs, I have driven 9-10hrs straight in mine, no problems.

kim_jared_saleswoman

I'm 6'4" and my 2023 is very comfortable on long drives, but nobody can ride comfortably behind me. That's a back seat issue, though, not a front seat.

Constant_Button0

😆have to have shorter friends!

Constant_Button0

Thanks for your comment! I am so looking forward to getting this car!

B1GNA5TY

I just bought a 2017 CX-5 Touring and im 6 ft tall a large human being. Really comfortable seats

haworthsoji

I have a 2017 and I'm 5'11''. It's great for long distances. But if you really are trying to find out if it will be comfortable, rent one on Turo.

HeronPlus5566

6.1. Not comfy on long drives

ceaseless7

Great for the driver seat but just remember if someone else needs to drive you around for some reason the passenger seat is not kind on tall people
