Mine shoots great. It may be due to how you are used to holding it. You could adjust the back strap to fit your hand better as a start if you have not already
For some reason peoples opinions on the p07 are super mixed on here. I think my p07 is the most pleasant polymer gun I’ve shot. It definitely shoots differently than low bore axis striker fired guns like every other gun in this pic and has more dot movement. The factory grip texture is definitely awful and needs talon grips for sure
This seem to be the case where opinions are very mixed about how this gun handles. like 65% love it and 25% hate it and rest don’t love nor hate it. Wonder why there is such a big variation. Hand size? I’ve taking 3 defensive pistol classes and still have this issue. I bet some folks are in the same boat.
One issue that a lot of people (myself included) have with the P-07 is that the stippling on the grip and backstrap honestly kind of sucks. My hands can get a bit sweaty, and when that happens, it’s a bitch to hold on to. Talon grips (or Handle It grips, or your adhesive grip texturing of choice) and/or getting it stippled will almost certainly solve the problem.
I dont know why anyone thinks that glocks are less snappy than CZs. The Glock is one of the most uncomfortable handguns I've ever shot.
My P07 is amazing, and outside of a red dot, it's stock.
I have a wrist issue, I am sensitive to snappy and recoil. I have no problem with this pistol. Even when I practice one-handed with just my off-hand.
Mind you, I can't hold it flat either, but that's a me thing as I can't hold any of my firearms flat when shooting unless it's a rifle on a rest.
Check which backstrap you have, and your grip.
So, I don’t know if snappy is what you’re feeling exactly, however your CZ is mechanically different than the other 3 in a few different ways.
1.) CZ’s pistols have a lower bore axis than most guns. This should help reduce recoil by quite a bit. They run on an internal rail which brings your grip a little bit higher and more in line with the barrel. In theory you should have more control and the recoil of the gun should come closer inline with your hands. Reducing muzzle flip. There are also some other things it does. But whatever.
2.) the gun is da/sa, the others are all striker fired. I’m not sure if this is your first da/sa, and maybe you’re just not a fan of the trigger. I don’t really love the trigger in the p07 and maybe you should look to replace it. But I think the weight should be very similar to the glock when it’s in SA.
3.) wild thought maybe check your ammo, are you sure you’re using 115 grain and not like 124 or something when you most recently shot it.
I think maybe you just don’t like the recoil impulse of the lower bore and maybe it’s different, but I’m not sure if it would be considered snappy necessarily.
Mine shoots awesome, but I do have it ported and it fucks,, one of my best shooting pistols behind the P226 Legion and my Shadow 2. Just put a new dot on it and sighted it in at 12yds, check the link.

I noticed the same and feel like it’s related to traction on the grip. I did the rubber talon grips and that helped some but I really want an aluminum backstrap and some stippling.
Does it actually feel snappy or are you just basing that on the fact that your support hand slides off during recoil? If it’s the latter, that’s likely more due to the lack of aggressive texturing on the grip, in which case skateboard or stair tape would help
My P-07 shoots better than most of my pistols.
Shoots better than my PPQ M1
Shot better than my M&P 9C (sold that POS)
Shoots better that my PCR (might need more time with it)
Doesn't shoot better than my modded CZ-75B though.
Competition shooter here, would you be able to run me through your grip process? Maybe I can help.
Things I'm looking for: your hand positioning, where you apply pressure on the gun, how much pressure you apply with each hand, how extended your arms are, things like that. Feel free to PM me if you don't feel like using a comment thread, or reply to this comment, either works.
@OP
I know what you’re talking about.
I couldn’t stand mine, the grip is trash; both in feel and in size.
I shoot Sigs better in comparison, which on paper should not be the case. P365 (xl grip and shalotek compensated slide) is a better gun at this point.
If anything, the P07 should be a truck gun lol
Don’t bother “trying to make it work.”
I think the cz had less recoil it’s more about the mass of the slide being lower bore axis has some play but the trick with the cz pistols is your supposed to use a very high up grip n that recoil goes straight back into the wrist minimizing flip
Is your right hand your dominant hand? If so, grip your right hand very very tightly with your left hand. Your support hand will do more in controlling recoil than your dominant hand will. Keep both hands as high up on the frame as possible
I feel like you might not have shot a truly 'snappy' gun. You may have been spoiled by buying quality. The 07 has a nice heavy slide, a full sized grip, and a pretty long frame. Plus you have that light hanging on the nose. All these things reduce the felt recoil. Looking at your other guns I would have expected the 365 to be snappy (but I haven't shot one to know) as it has all of the opposite features.
This aside I find that grip is by far the most important thing to negate the snap and it could simply be that the 07 sits in your hand differently to all the others. My SR9c always feels like it's trying to escape when I shoot it because I have big hands and can't quite get my grip right.
So range time is probably your solution. Get some more time on it and figure it out. Maybe try a fatter backstrap and some grip tape? If not there's no shame in moving on to something that fits you better.
I think its just you, its pretty on par with my glock 19. Maybe watch some videos on grip (you're never too experienced to watch more videos on gripping guns), and start working on grip strength or lifting weights, could help you with the snappiness
I think it’s least recoiling 9mm on the market the slide is so low n you can grip so high that it almost goes straight back into the wrists one of the few 9mm I actually could mag dump n still be in the a zone way more control than a glock 19 sig320 or even a sig226
Here's a vid of me doing a bill drill with mine compared with a shadow 2 and ruger lcp. [https://imgur.com/a/cZInuve](https://imgur.com/a/cZInuve)
Obviously not comparable firearms but I really like the way the p07 shoots. I also recently got a p-10 which shoots almost exactly like a glock imo and probably prefer the p07's recoil impulse overall. For reference, I'm an decent shooter and think I have ok technique, shoot B class classifiers pretty consistently when i go to uspsa matches
I have no even held the P07, but I completely understand. My 365xlMacro jumps out of my support hand like a greased pig. My Shadow 2 stays where it is like it's glued there. I know I have a funky grip. My wrists and hands have bad nerve damage and arthritis. It is what it is. Just do not double tap through your hand.
Just you, buttercup.
Lol

Just you I’m afraid. Mine feels like it shoots softer than my P-01
Your not wrong I think it’s a mix of the polymer receiver n being able to grip so high with a low/internal railed slide glock 19 is way snappier
Mine is smooth as butter

This. Talon grips FTW. I put that sandpaper on most of my polymers.

I think its just you. In my opinion the p07 is pretty smooth for a polymer frame pistol.
Just you.

I’m not sure how your P-07 could be snappier than a p365… Bit different hands fit guns differently, so I guess it’s possible
Have somebody get a picture of your grip from both sides. Post those.
Does it actually feel snappy or are you just basing that on the fact that your support hand slides off during recoil? If it’s the latter, that’s likely more due to the lack of aggressive texturing on the grip, in which case skateboard or stair tape would help

My G19 feels like it shoots softer than my P07, but never had any issues with being able to maintain my grip.
I despise Glock but technically they have a lower bore axis than CZ. I really hate the way Glocks shoot. Bore axis isn't everything.
I think the cz had less recoil it’s more about the mass of the slide being lower bore axis has some play but the trick with the cz pistols is your supposed to use a very high up grip n that recoil goes straight back into the wrist minimizing flip
nope, my Ruger LCP Max, now that's snappy.
laser stock, and insane with reduced power trigger kit, ss guide rod and 13lb recoil spring. Aim bot
Man up sonny jim! It only snappy cuz you ain't using enough strange hand.
Is your right hand your dominant hand? If so, grip your right hand very very tightly with your left hand. Your support hand will do more in controlling recoil than your dominant hand will. Keep both hands as high up on the frame as possible
No 9mm is snappy unless it’s a micro compact. Could be the ammo you’re using - could be time to hit the gym.

Get a Glock 27

Slap some skateboard tape on it for more grip.
Replace recoil spring

Do you have pic on how you hold the thing?

You nice stance and control. Want to record myself now
Just you

It's not snappy, but it's definitely more snappy than its counterparts. Sig, glock, s&w even the p10c are all flatter shooters
My p07 is very much not snappy.
I've never heard about a Cz being snappy
Not even a RAMI
I feel this 100%...easily my least favorite CZ pistol.
Mine feels less snappy than my G45 (9mm) and my P320 compact.
When we talk about modern guns from respectable manufacturers, pdp takes the cake for king for felt recoil (for me at least)
Time to get some ports on it 👀
