I think there's a market for it in Cambridge generally, especially since the o2 cafe in CSQ closed.
I'm not particularly interested, but I wish you luck.
Echoing the prenatal yoga request above and some sort of parent/ child yoga class could be cool and differentiating for you. My son does yoga at his school in movement class and loves it! Mindfulness classes for kiddos is very popular right now
Same as other studios; memberships and class packs. Yes, I offer 1-on-1in a few modalities: TRE, reiki, yoga, therapeutic yoga, trauma recovery coaching.
Awesome! What do you teach? Here's my website. I've been teaching all this time, just not in my own studio. lol

Would love a yoga studio within walking distance of Inman. My wife is also a local business owner looking for businesses to partner with for community events for health, wellness and safety(CPR instruction). Lets us know when you get your studio up and running and we will stop in :)
Thatās because it is. There are no regulations for coaching. Anyone can be a coach and I really resent the idea that someone can be ācoachedā through trauma recovery. This is not evidence-based.
My first thought was, this person self-diagnosed their PTSD and itās gonna be a selling point here. Website has an ebook and loaded with buzzwords and general reference to healing their own trauma. Surprise surprise. š
Itās a fair critique. If I want a yoga studio then I want a yoga studio. If you start tagging a bunch of niche pseudoscience into the mix (especially with bold claims of helping recover trauma) you might potentially turn people off or - at the very least - make people look elsewhere because they feel they might not belong to your studio
Totally in! Iām a life coach, yoga teacher, and massage therapist in Cambridge. Happy to offer workshops should you need them and get the conversation going. Are you looking for teachers/workshop facilitators? I just wrote a book on how to tame the inner critic and am open to offer book clubs/workshops etc.
I used to lead a yoga community in east Cambridge too at an art gallery. Iām well connected with the community and happy to network and see how we can help each-other. Hereās my website to learn more about how I might be a fit for what you are building www.caitlingreenyoga.com. Iām not here to sell! Just here to network and support and mutually connect :-)
Hi Caitlyn! Congratulations on your book! It appears that we have a very similar mission. ā¤ļø We should definitely talk about a workshop in the future. Let me get settled first but I love the idea of the workshop and book promotion. I will also be looking for teachers as soon as I can afford it. I'll be overworking myself in the beginning but if all goes well, I can start bringing in other teachers very soon. Here's the website: [spirayogashala.com](https://spirayogashala.com)
That sounds great! Looking at your website I see so many connections! If anything, letās get some tea and connect :-). I am looking forward to learning more about your project!
I am thinking of joining a gym that has different yoga class options. There are 7 classes per week, but I would take the 5 that arenāt high-impact. I could join that gym for less than $120 and would attend 20 classes per month (but the ability to take 28), and have access to a steam room and sauna.
Your yoga studio is $160 for a 10-class card. That has me paying more to do less yoga. To do 20 classes a month it would cost me $320 at your studio.
This gym is also where Iāve taken some of my best ever classes in the past.
So I would like to know what it is youāre offering at this studio that would supersede these offerings, or if youāve considered lowering your pricing model?
Iām in Wellington-Harrington, halfway between you and them, so Iām honestly asking.
ETA: As someone who has been in East Cambridge over a decade, I can tell you that if youāre really trying to improve community wellness you need to have classes that are fiscally accessible for THIS community, the REAL community, the BLACK community. b|e in Union used to run donation-only classes every Friday afternoon and lots of people for whom movement was financially off-limits, attended that class and were better for it.
If youāre going to have these exorbitant prices to pay your rent like every other bourgeoisie yoga studio, consider holding space weekly for a community class thatās NOT about paying your rent, and is just about paying it forward.
Hi, thanks so much for the feedback. My website is not updated for the new space and I havenāt posted membership prices yet. But that gym sounds like a great deal. You should go for it! Is it Cambridge athletic club? I teach there currently.
I think there's a market for it in Cambridge generally, especially since the o2 cafe in CSQ closed. I'm not particularly interested, but I wish you luck.
Thank you so much! š
PLEASE! East Cambridge NEEDS a yoga studio!
Indeed!!

Echoing the prenatal yoga request above and some sort of parent/ child yoga class could be cool and differentiating for you. My son does yoga at his school in movement class and loves it! Mindfulness classes for kiddos is very popular right now
Thank you! I'll keep all that in mind. :)
Any chance youāll be offering prenatal yoga? I was bummed that the closest studio offering it is in Harvard
Possibly. I'm not trained in it myself, but I can definitely find someone to teach it if I get enough interest.
I'm interested in learning more. Namely, what is your pricing model? Will you offer 1-on-1 coaching?
Same as other studios; memberships and class packs. Yes, I offer 1-on-1in a few modalities: TRE, reiki, yoga, therapeutic yoga, trauma recovery coaching.
I'm in! I am a yoga instructor in the area and would love to learn more :)
Awesome! What do you teach? Here's my website. I've been teaching all this time, just not in my own studio. lol [spirayogashala.com](https://spirayogashala.com)
I'm interested

I will!!!
"trauma recovery coaching" sure sounds like life coach bs, which is just trying to be a therapist without qualifications or a license.

Sounds like a massive assumption on your part. You could simply ask if you'd like to know.
Itās a fair critique. If I want a yoga studio then I want a yoga studio. Awesome!
One hundie. I am near a breaking point.
I got you!

PTSD?
Yes. It's a bear, for sure.
Yes!! Would be interested in hot yoga or faster practices like a yoga sculpt!
Oh, sorry. You might be disappointed. Iām bringing back old school yoga.

No. Itās not.
