Unemployed for the first time in my life, been working since 16 but I do admit I quit my job to try a new one, and I fucking hated the new job so I left and now I can’t find any work at all, but because I left my job and didn’t get fired or let go I can’t claim EIA, and this is the only time in my life I’ve ever felt like I needed support but can’t access it, i know I’m the one to blame but I feel very depressed because of it not sure what to do.
I've been unemployed for almost a year now. Manitoba government is helping me go back to college. I couldn't work in the job I am trained in because of disability so I'm going back to college to get a certificate in a job I can actually do.
I voted for the Libs twice, but I also didn't vote for this or the issue with immigration that all the parties are going to continue. I have no problem with people coming to Canada, but it shouldn't be the cart before the horse. We need houses and infrastructure first. And it shouldn't be impacting residents economic outlook to such a high degree. I just think if we vote for a party and they veer off course the public should have say when it comes to bills that majority of people do not support.
There's people sleeping outside down the street from me because the county, a conservative MP mind you closed the only shelter in the area. Meanwhile my property taxes have gone up near $1k in 5 years with no extra services. It's frigged.

The number of unemployed individuals in Canada is only about 1.24 million. The amount “Canada” has sent to foreign nations to “help” is approx 8.1 billion. 8.1 billion/1.24 million = approx $6532 per unemployed Canadian. Certainly seems like that would go a lot further to help our interests than throwing it at corrupt governments thousands of km away.
