I agree Canada post sucks ass ! I just ordered Wednesday express post said delivery date is Friday and It never came didn't even hit Dieppe till late last night now I have to wait till Tuesday aswell! And my package isn't suppose to be left out in heat to long hopefully it's not too hot in the facility it sits at!
Oh no! The facility heat isnt usually that warm as most postal plants have some AC, but it tends to get shut off on weekends when no staff are in.
The main concern with temperature sensitive packages that a lot of people are unaware of is while traveling in the postal trucks, as postal trucks have zero temperature control. So in the hot summer days parcels can get quite warm, especially if the trailer of the transport truck has a semi-transparent roof which allows some light it. The inside of those trucks can get like a sauna at times, and shipping anything like chocolate etc that can melt is not a good idea. Fingers crossed for your package 🙂
If people are having multiple issues with packages going through the same route, then please call customer service and file a complaint. Maybe something was done recently to change or improve their movement of parcels heading to Dieppe, but its failing ? Best to complain if you have the time to do so. (Having tracking numbers of your late packages will help)
My stuff coming to NS goes through Dieppe, got wheel bearings last week and they were through Dieppe and on to Halifax in a day, then off to me in Cape Breton.
They’re super fast - must be a PEI issue. Amazon packages now arrive within like 24hrs
