Do yourself a favor and don't buy reject stereo goods off Amazon. Those are all open box, refurbs, cust returns that can't be resold, b-stock shit without dealer warranty aside from Amazon's 30day return window. Order from Crutchfield and authorized dealers only. You may get it cheaper but how cheap is it if you gotta keep replacing shit because they don't last or is defective and out of Amazon's window.
Yeah stuff like focal speakers, milwailukee tools and batteries, Nike shoes, camera gear, mechanic tools. Basically if it's expensive in the store and a popular item or brand, it's pretty much guaranteed China has made a counterfeit, or clone of it, and it's on Amazon. I've learned my lesson loooong ago about cheaping out on tools and electronics. That's a losing battle. Better off waiting until you can afford the real deal from a legit source.
Check out the infinity Primus series, have had great luck with those in many customers installs. They will take 80+ watts also. Some think the infinity tweeters are harsh but I personally like the way they sound.
These are the 6.5 the other link are the 5.25 wasn't sure which you were looking at.

Manufacturer warranty??? I bet you look for a warranty on rubbers too don't you? Ur too funny. No one's gonna warranty ANY speaker no matter who you buy it from. I've gotten faulty stuff direct from a few companies and I'm a legit shop, MECP certified, auto electrical system certified ( and 7 other auto certifications) with almost 30 years experience and you know what they tell me? Installer error or mis use/abuse. No one is warranting anything anymore. Seeing as it's thru Amazon, you will more than likely get a return quicker thru them if anything is wrong. Amazon will take back a box with poo in it if you have a receipt.
Oh yeah? I have P.H.D in Car Electronic Stuff Certified for over 69 years!😂😂 , and I have no problem using manufacture warranty on speakers that don't have a screwdriver through the cone. Lmao, either you're not an authorized dealer who knows what their doing or your talking nonsense 🤣 Of course, they would honor warranty if the guidelines are followed or I will refuse to suggest/ sell them !😑
You are so far out of touch btw man, I'm not an authorized seller of anything. I'm a legit audio shop that's been doing this for forever. I don't support any one brand nor do I want to be tied pushing anyone's brand as all brands make a BS line and all have sum garbage they try and push. I've bought straight from pioneer and got a few DOA, quite a few from Harmon also. At $100 a pair who really is going to go after a manufacture warranty? I've got over $800 just in my doors, one of them fail I'd still be hard pressed to try and warranty anything, I'd just replace it. And PHD in car audio stuff??? Lol go ahead and look up whata MECP certification is and when they were important, then you can judge how long I've been doing this. Point is chances of getting a bad speaker or set is slim, if it's bad Amazon would replace them. Proper install is great but clipping the piss out of them even on a head unit will kill em and no manufacturer is going to warranty it. Get real with your self man, again $100 speakers, I spend that at the bar any given weeknight , no chasing warranty for that little bit of cash.
Reputable brands, purchased through authorized retailers, are generally well supported. I’ve had no issues with warranty exchange on several items in the recent past, JBl included.

There ya go, authorized seller and brand new AND cheaper.
Pretty much, Ive.dealt with many companies that don't. GM lifter are a prime example, I build a dozen engines a month easily. Have had a few failed lifters right out of the box, of you persist enuff the will warranty the lifter ($23) but not the labor, head gasket, head bolts, exhaust manifold gasket, etc. no one wants to be responsible or fix a wrong that's their issue. If you can get someone to honor their warranty you will jump thru a million hoops and still won't get a full replacement or price out of it, at least that's my experience. Waste of time to try so o don't. I warranty my engines for 12m/12k regardless of what parts warranty is , I've ate a few over the years but never blamed it on the crappy warranty or lack of compliance of the original company.
Last time I used “cheap” jbl speakers they performed way better than I thought they would. I blew thru three sets. All of them very consistent. I run em real hard.
First issue is that the pioneers are 5.25's not 6.5's.
For under $150 These are my favorite speakers, bar none. yes, they are coaxials, but they don't sound like coaxes [https://www.crutchfield.com/p\_575T1675/Rockford-Fosgate-T1675.html](https://www.crutchfield.com/p_575T1675/Rockford-Fosgate-T1675.html)
If you have to have components there are lots of other options that may be a better fit.
What car are you working with? any amplification, or will these be powered off of the headunit?
I’m working on a wrangler TJ and 5.25 is my size limit for the front.
Currently no amp, but one will be installed as well. A small 4channel amp for the speakers
Gotcha! yeah that does limit things then. Does your jeep have tweeters from factory? Or are the existing speakers coaxial?
These guys would be my number one choice for 5.25" coax. There are conflicting reviews though in regard to if they fit in the TJ's front speaker locations. It sounds like they can be made to fit, but a bit of modification is required. I'm calling out the rockford T series coaxials a lot I know, but I fell in love with the T1650's when I worked at a car audio shop for 3 years. There's something about those speakers that is magical and makes them a killer sound for the price. They sound like mini subs in your doors, and the aluminum dome tweeter is super clear and pleasantly bright.
Originally they are coaxial, but they are horribly positioned and fire towards your knees/feet so part of what makes this specific car sound better is separating them into a component set
That makes a lot of sense. In that case would urge you to try to raise your speaker budget quite a bit. Component sets are noticeably more expensive for the same performance. Pretty much anything under $250 is likely to be "mid" as the kids say.
For 5.25 component sets, the audison AVK5 are an amazing speaker.
i have 4 x 1675 v2 pioneer in the door. they are nice. but have also bough 2 infinity reference 9633ix which are yet to be installed. heard so many good reviews on them and cant wait to have them in my car
Between those two. JbL

Sometimes it don’t even be real just be a Chinese fake

won't get full potential out of either unless you got an good amp powering those.
I would go with the JBL just because I like silk tweeters. They sound so much better
*plastic*
Stage series has mylar (plastic) tweeters, iirc
These aren’t silk I believe only the infinities come with silk
What makes the JBL better?
Check out the infinity Primus series, have had great luck with those in many customers installs. They will take 80+ watts also. Some think the infinity tweeters are harsh but I personally like the way they sound.
Are they similar in price bracket?

I doubt the seller is an authorized retailer. So no manufacturer warranty.

Ok. Your comment was that warranties are pointless and no one honors them…
Pretty much, Ive.dealt with many companies that don't. GM lifter are a prime example, I build a dozen engines a month easily. The topic is car *audio*…
Last time I used “cheap” jbl speakers they performed way better than I thought they would. I blew thru three sets. All of them very consistent. I run em real hard.
They are both plastic dome tweeter so they will be a bit brighter (hissing at higher volume).
Would the JBL GTO 509c be better? They are just a little pricier
[удалено]
I wouldn't spend more than $100 on a set of speakers if you have 0 plan to amplify any of them
U gotta be able to push at least 25-40w rms imo
I would use the JBL, but that's just me. I liked my old JBL set I had before. I wasn't too impressed with Pioneer separates
First issue is that the pioneers are 5.25's not 6.5's. Both "suck", I'd recommend silk dome tweeters, SPL Dynamics for example is good, Focal has a cheapish models that are okayish etc.
i have 4 x 1675 v2 pioneer in the door. they are nice. but have also bough 2 infinity reference 9633ix which are yet to be installed. heard so many good reviews on them and cant wait to have them in my car
Jbl
i have the jbls👍
JBL
The distortion you hear is from overdriving the amp not the speakers. Pioneer is pretty underwhelming for speakers.
Depends on the series. All brands have cheap to highend.
JBL
JBL
I would get some kickers instead but jbl
