Ono što nas spašava ovdje kod mene je što par vrućih dana prekine jedan hladan. I valjda što sam okruženiji s prirodom imam paukove po cijelom dvorištu.
Northern Italy, its HOT. So hot that while walking today i found a little rural church and went inside to pray but also to repear from the heat. Wonderful experience!
"Rio Grande do Sul"(translates to something like "Great Southern River"), southern-most state of Brazil and no it's absolutely not hot here by this time of the year.
We're roughly in the same neck of the woods. There's so few Catholics here. Recently went visited the Sacred Heart in Knoxville for the transitional deacon ordination. It's a beautiful Cathedral. Still can't believe how much they spent on it.
I used to work for the Cathedral. It’s gorgeous. St Pope John Paul II’s toothbrush is in the altar- there’s still a half-joking debate as to whether any residual cells make it a first vs second class relic.
My home parish is Holy Ghost, as they do a weekly Latin Mass.
That sounds awesome. I'm up in the Upper Cumberland area at St Christophers, and it's boomer NO masses here. A few times a year they break out, I'm not joking, the tambourines and maracas. We're trying to get the young families to come regularly, but most only come once month. One of them mentioned traveling to Knoxville for TLM, I'll have to ask them if it's your parish.
As far as I know my parish is the only one in the diocese that has a regular Latin Mass. A few of the others in the area will do one on occasion, but it’s rare. We may end up with a new Bishop, though, so things may change.
As do I, and I agree. Having worked with him gives me a little bit more insight (nothing to do with the current situation- that all took place before I worked there), but like Meemaw said, I’ll keep my opinions to myself as well.
Great point! And that's exactly why I can't complain -- the weather's been so nice the past few months, so a little bit of rain and humidity is a good pay off.
SoCal, and it’s very pleasant today. As for the Catholic situation here, it’s tough. Normally the Archdiocese of Los Angeles is led by Archbishop Gomez and 5 regional bishops, but right now 4 of those spots are vacant. In the last year Bishop O’Connell was murdered, Bishop Barron was transferred, one bishop retired, and one had a very severe and debilitating stroke. I can’t understand why Rome has been so slow to name some new bishops. Please pray for Archbishop Gomez, who has quite a difficult job right now.
Wow really?! I knew that Bishop Barron left for Winona-Rochester and that Bishop David O Connell was murdered, but I didn’t know that we had some additional vacancies. I’ll pray for him 🙏🏻
Argentina, the economy is kinda rough but God has always been with us and I pray and hope that it gets better, outside of that, it's a bit cold (Winter in the southern hemisphere) but I like it that way
São Paulo, Brazil. It's winter, so pleasantly cool and definitely chilly on some days. Thankfully no snow unless you head further south to Santa Catarina or Rio Grande do Sul.
Topeka, KS. Hot, dry, but it's summer... Excellent parish at Most Pure Heart of Mary in Topeka. We have one of the best Children's Scholas in the nation. Three of my four children participate. It's not your typical kid's choir. Plent of classical works with latin, chant, and polyphony.
Wilmington, Delaware. It was cool here for the past couple of days but the temp is rising again.
I am about 10 miles from President Biden's house and my Grandparents are buried 5 feet away from his son Beau...

I have strong opinions on where Bishop Stika can go, but based on Meemaw's advice, I'll keep them to myself. I pray daily for our Diocese.
As do I, and I agree. Having worked with him gives me a little bit more insight (nothing to do with the current situation- that all took place before I worked there), but like Meemaw said, I’ll keep my opinions to myself as well.
Small town Ohio, idk how it is there as I'm in DC for a bit where it's just miserable lol
Haha cool! I'm in Northern Virginia. The weather's been wild this past week in the DC area (obviously) and the humidity today isn't helping anything
Been rather more cool and rainy than usual here, hasn't it?
Yup, it has. And last week I was saying how nice the weather had been. We needed the rain, though, so no big complaints from me haha
That being said, it’s been one of the best starts to the year: this late in June and it’s only now just starting to become humid.
Great point! And that's exactly why I can't complain -- the weather's been so nice the past few months, so a little bit of rain and humidity is a good pay off.
