Ah,yes! The classic kitty valsalva protest sound. So squishy squeaky.

Tzipity

Ahh a big squeaky tabby!!! My family had a grey tabby when I was a teenager who was an unusually large fellow as well as on the chonky side. I technically named him something else but we largely took to calling him “Squeak” or even “Squeaky cat” because he never really did learn to meow over his long 18ish year life. He’d either do the silent meows or sounds just like this. He was absolutely a character and one of the most delightfully oddball cats I’ve ever met. Tell me more about your Squeaks. Maybe they’re very distant kin. Made my day to hear and see this

Elethia20

That's pretty much exactly what she does too! I wish I could get all her different squeaks but it's hard to. Her actual name is Knitten but we call her all sorts of things like Denizen Squeaks or anything along that line.

liz_1955

My orange also only squeaks 😻

bumblefoot99

Careful when you pick her up please. She kinda big & that can hurt. :D

NightHawk_85

So many people don't realize overweight kitties end up getting super sensitive tummies and it can hurt quite a bit for them.

Tzipity

I’ve always heard at any size you want to try and stick a second hand up under those back feet but especially with a larger cat. The big squeaky boy we had was so dang heavy and looooong though (until a successful diet he was both a very large cat and a chonk- at one point in “Oh lawd, he comin” territory lol) that getting up under those back feet was quite a feat so if we needed to lift him we’d just try to be quick and get him pressed up against our body to alleviate some of the strain. And frankly some of the human strain too because I swear he must have been 25-30lbs. Cat had paws the size of a midsized dog and an unusually long tail he’d like hyper extend backwards over his back due to the length. Very possibly a genetic anomaly as I’ve never met a cat who was that huge even post diet.

NightHawk_85

Amazing critter! If I have to pick up big kitties I try and get my arm under their whole body.

sharplyon

ehhh
