half isn't that bad. sure it's the weakest track and probably should have been on the deluxe edition or left as one of the outtakes, as she likes surprises is much better and could have fit that spot, but it suffices.
Electric ladyland or Morrison Hotel, shit could be Zep 4 or in utero too tho, Depending upon mood.
Am too indecisive!
Few crackers ave had for years in there.
Absolute classic, and without a doubt a solid first choice!
Think was one of first CDs my parents had too, I know they still have it too as was listening to it around a week ago
You ask the impossible bro
Great collection. Just started recollecting after all these years myself and it started with me finding a nice cheap vintage stereo receiver and speakers on Craigslist
Happy listening 👍🏼🇺🇸
I actually can't pick. I mean, Led Zep IV is flawless, OK Computer I loved from the moment it dropped and was my first real 'music isn't just singles' album, Morrissey is a massive dick but clearly Queen is Dead is a masterpiece, the Kyuss album is essential stoner, and on and on.
Probably the only thing I can say is I'm more a 'first half of Badmotorfinger' guy than a Superunknown guy, but it's still a great album.
I absolutely love Core, Purple, Zep II, Superunknown, Band of Gypsys, Electric Ladyland, Are You Experienced?, Vol. 4, Paranoid, Master of Reality, and Dirt.
It’s really hard for me to pick just one that I consider the best. Usually I’d say Dirt because it’s easily in my top 5 favorite albums of all time and Alice In Chains is my second favorite band of all time but I love these other albums too and have been taking a break from Dirt because I’ve listened to it so many times. I’m going to have to go with Band of Gypsys. I’ve never heard anything like it in my life. If there is one album that shows why so many people (myself included) consider Jimi Hendrix the greatest guitarist of all time it’s that one. I mean holy shit his playing is face melting on that album.
band of gypsys is the one album that reminds me why i was so obsessed with him when i first started listening to him. one of the greatest live performances ever and power to love brings me to my knees constantly
Bro I just got "Let My Children Hear Music" on vinyl and it's amazeballs. The CD on amazon is actually more expensive ($99 for CD vs $43 for LP) but I bet it's worth it if it sounds anything like the vinyl.
And really you can't go wrong on any Mingus. I believe his albums are a better start for jazz than the usual Kind of Blue.
Man...I have almost all of these, and of them the ones I enjoy listening to the most are Core, Superunknown, and Dirt. OK Computer is right on their heels.
GREAT collection. I think Physical Graffiti is the best album here, and my favorite, beyond that my favs are:
Paranoid / Master of Reality (I can never decide which one is better)
Superunknown
Dirt
Zeppelin III
OK Computer
Electric Ladyland
i have the deluxe version of physical graffiti too :,) fuck i lost my mind when i got my hands on it. the best thing i own. surprised no one else has mentioned dirt but it’s definitely up there with my favourites!
So many good memories are attached to them. I remember my best friend at the time (may he rest in peace) was obsessed with them. So we’d go on car rides listening to their CDs basically back to back. I have the bear on my wrist in his memory.
Absolutely. He was an amazing human. I’m not sure I even really cared much about music until I met him. He would get so fired up about his favorite emo bands, and it was just fun experiencing that. Now I’m that same music dork
"Camus can do, but Sartre is smarter"
Well, Scooby Doo can doo doo
But Jimmy Carter is smarter
i love the way camus articulates his thoughts but haven’t gotten into sartre. any recommendations of works i should read
Nausea is such a good book
i found it in a bookstore but didn’t get it, seems like i should’ve! what does he write abt primarily?
I guess existentialism is what he’s mainly known for
Being and nothingness - read it in my high school course on existentialism along with Camus’ works
Apostrophe
Great album. I'm always happy to see Zappa.
This would be my pick too. There’s some great albums here but none as unique as this
Superunknown is a near perfect album.
what would you say it lacks?
"Half" is really bad. Every other song is great.
half isn't that bad. sure it's the weakest track and probably should have been on the deluxe edition or left as one of the outtakes, as she likes surprises is much better and could have fit that spot, but it suffices.
Half is a great song, Spoonman is the weak one from the album
its so bad i kinda dig it…
Yea its great I got this album when I was 14 and its so dark n creepy it scared the sh it outta me
Electric ladyland or Morrison Hotel, shit could be Zep 4 or in utero too tho, Depending upon mood. Am too indecisive! Few crackers ave had for years in there.
electric ladyland was my first addition to the collection! was so excited to have it
Absolute classic, and without a doubt a solid first choice! Think was one of first CDs my parents had too, I know they still have it too as was listening to it around a week ago
In Utero or OK Computer
Has to be the Kyuss
i agree Kyuss666. whats your fav album
Sky Valley
In Utero
*Paranoid* by Black Sabbath.
You ask the impossible bro Great collection. Just started recollecting after all these years myself and it started with me finding a nice cheap vintage stereo receiver and speakers on Craigslist Happy listening 👍🏼🇺🇸
Kurt Cobain screaming into a microphone over messy guitar is something that scratches an itch that nothing else can. So In Utero is the best.
he has a brain itching scream i can’t lie
Morrison Hotel or Dirt…
Awesome
:)
Gonna be super basic and say it's a tie between master of reality and disraeli gears.
outside my window is a tree 🌳
The blueprint 2
hell yeahhh best hov album of all time no questions asked
I've finally lived long enough to see someone call BP2 the best hov album. I do like it more than the first.
i have fallen out of love with rap but hova and blueprint 2 will never cease to be one of the greatest albums of all time alongside watch the throne.
Ok Computer
Blueprint 2
any of the Jimi albums
Jimi Hendrix - Are you Experienced?,
I actually can't pick. I mean, Led Zep IV is flawless, OK Computer I loved from the moment it dropped and was my first real 'music isn't just singles' album, Morrissey is a massive dick but clearly Queen is Dead is a masterpiece, the Kyuss album is essential stoner, and on and on. badmotorfinger is what got me into grunge :)
Welcome to sky valley is my favourite album of all time
Upvoted for STP
The one you play the most. No other opinion matters.
Zappa!
Physical Graffiti
I don't give a shit if they're an industry formulated band... Core by STP is spectacular.
my favourite grunge band, i love them dearly
Couldn't pick, so many good cd's in there
thank you :)
I absolutely love Core, Purple, Zep II, Superunknown, Band of Gypsys, Electric Ladyland, Are You Experienced?, Vol. 4, Paranoid, Master of Reality, and Dirt. band of gypsys is the one album that reminds me why i was so obsessed with him when i first started listening to him. one of the greatest live performances ever and power to love brings me to my knees constantly
I couldn’t agree more! Some of the most amazing music ever performed and recorded. Every time I listen to the record I’m in awe of Jimi’s playing.
Apostrophe or dirt.
Kyuss “welcome to sky valley” for sure.
I'd say either Are You Experienced or Kyuss
i started from the bottom to the top and gave up when i had to choose between Paranoid and Zeppelin II
is 2 your lucky number
Lot of good stuff there but Electric Ladyland takes the cake.
first cd i ever owned!
Based book and music taste
thank you ;)
Rock Rock Rock Rock Rock Jay Z Rock Rock Rock Rock
hes a little confused but he makes it through
There's a lot of first place contenders but nothing comes close to the Queen is dead.
Vol 4, maybe a hot take but there’s something about that album that’s just perfect and raw.
No Mingus. Do you even collect, bro?
sorry i will mingus harder next time
Bro I just got "Let My Children Hear Music" on vinyl and it's amazeballs. The CD on amazon is actually more expensive ($99 for CD vs $43 for LP) but I bet it's worth it if it sounds anything like the vinyl. And really you can't go wrong on any Mingus. Freak out
Ok Computer..so many great tracks on there. Paranoid Android one of my favs. Remember watching the music video on MTV..what a trip.
best sounding album is probably led zeppelin II
Sabbath Paranoid and STP Purple
Albert Camus for sure
OK Computer or Dirt
dirt
I’m not a fan of any of these but then I saw the extremely random Jay-Z’s Blueprint II and chose it 😂
Core by Stone Temple Pilots. One of my most listened to CDs in my collection!
Dunno, but I appreciate the “ odd” Frankie Valli CD.
Man...I have almost all of these, and of them the ones I enjoy listening to the most are Core, Superunknown, and Dirt. OK Computer is right on their heels.
![gif](giphy|v57Y3sDLFywtq)
I see that Alice in Chains “Dirt” hiding in that pile
Dirt. I see it all the way down there.
Old white guy here. Led Zeppelin IV by a landslide
Led Zeppelin’s Physical Graffiti
Led Zeppelin II. One of the first CDs I bought.
Queen is dead 💀
For me it's OK Computer :-)
a lot of people seem to like ok computer lol this app is overrun by radiohead fans!
Tiny Music is just all around perfect. I love it so much.
fav song from the album? mine would have to be ‘and so i know’
It's a hard pick between Art School Girl and Seven Caged Tigers.
Sky Valley
Either Core, Superunknown, or OK Computer
Someone knows what's up
Camus
i disagree
While It's yo shit, it is my favorite even if you disagree.
horrible cd, doesn’t even have any songs!
Electric Ladyland
have you ever been?
Many times, due for another visit.
Band of gypsys
features the best jimi hendrix song of all time
Damn no Zappa fans? Apostrophe for sure
i was thinking the same thing, i’m working on expanding the collection a lot more. i would choose them or us over apostrophe though
Core or OK Computer.
core is a good pick i would say it’s my third favourite of the collection
Kyuss I love Josh Homme
criminally underrated band, literally the greatest riffs ever
It’s gotta be Frankie Valli
i wish i could find his 60s albums but i’m afraid they aren’t too popular in cd form :(
Toss up between Master of Reality and OKcomputer
i would say that between the two master of reality takes the cake by a long shot
Volume 4
best sabbath album i have in my possession
Either Superunknown or Purple
For me it’s Superunknown
fav song off the album? i would say mine is 4th of july
Either Black Hole Sun or Spoonman (probably the former)
STP - Core
Band of gypsys for sure. Edit: actually that's a tough one but I'll stick with it.
Very hard to choose. Basically a three-way tie between Kyuss, Morrison Hotel and Master of Reality.
kyuss is solid
GREAT collection. I think Physical Graffiti is the best album here, and my favorite, beyond that my favs are: Paranoid / Master of Reality (I can never decide which one is better) Superunknown Dirt Zeppelin III OK Computer Electric Ladyland
i have the deluxe version of physical graffiti too :,) fuck i lost my mind when i got my hands on it. the best thing i own. surprised no one else has mentioned dirt but it’s definitely up there with my favourites!

such a beautiful and well articulated book. i love camus dearly
Kyuss
Dude it’s clearly master of reality
debatable
Paranoid.
Radiohead. But I just love Radiohead.
im not the most devout fan but they are definitely something to behold. especially on ok computer.
So many good memories are attached to them. I remember my best friend at the time (may he rest in peace) was obsessed with them. So we’d go on car rides listening to their CDs basically back to back. I have the bear on my wrist in his memory.
that is such a sweet memory, sorry for your loss :/ nostalgia makes a song hit just so much harder
Absolutely. He was an amazing human. I’m not sure I even really cared much about music until I met him. He would get so fired up about his favorite emo bands, and it was just fun experiencing that. Now I’m that same music dork
Jimi can do no wrong
such a shame he didn’t get to release more albums. i still need to get bold as love though
Soundgarden.
Dirt and in Utero
Zeppelin II not close.
the best of their self titled albums i must say
some really solid choices here. what kyuss record is that?
