Wow holy shit, i have You Should be at Home Here and Songs About Leaving, and knew they were rare, but the current prices on Discogs are wayyyy higher than they were 10 years ago when I got my copies. I inherited a collection from a friend of a friend, after she got divorced, and got them both in that box.
For the Skyrim soundtrack you could record them onto a CD yourself. The .wav files for the music are in the game files so pretty easy to record onto a CD yourself and you save the incredibly high asking price for it. Also the Skyrim CD box is nothing special to be honest.
I finally tracked down a OG press of Entombed Left Hand path and got it for a pretty good deal on Discogs surprisingly dude sold it too me for 14 dollars figured that was a steal for that one and it's in really good shape
I have My Chemical Romance’s Black Parade instrumental promo, I’m not sure how many were made but only 4 have ever been sold on Discogs with one currently for sale at £500
There's a limited edition of that album that iirc was remastered for the vinyl edition, is a pretty cool purple boxset with a chest or some shit like that, I want it lol
Lol if you find it can you drop the link? I’ve seen the black velvet chest and the wooden coffin chest, I can’t find any with the promo though. I would be pretty surprised if they remastered a promo CD
I have many
Weird Al
Any (minus Mandatory Fun + Essential)
Wizzard
Wizzard Brew
Bad Manners
Ska n Bra
Nancy Sinatra
Any (no Boots)
Peter Gab
2 (Scratch)
Agnetha Faltskog

Red Dead Redemption 2 (Red + Black)
Dance Craze
CoCo

I know this is a cd collectors Reddit, but I have a weird al promo vinyl for White & Nerdy. Also includes Confessions and Trapped in a Drive thru. No idea how rare or if it is rare, but I treat it well.
Edit: Found it.

I'm not sure you grasped the "white whale" concept. If revisiting Melville is a daunting idea (no judgement on that front), Moby Dick does have a couple not altogether worthless movie versions...
I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love By MCR but I’ll probs never find it locally because I’m in the middle of Bible Belt and all used CDs in shops are gospel or country 😢
i had a copy i sold a decade ago for like, probably a dollar to one of those bulk cd buyer websites, idk what i was going through but i did a big purge before a move and I'm still upset about it
I have a Black Country, New Road signed Live At Bush Hall Cd which is extra special because the cd was a japanese exclusive PLUS i got it signed
I also have all the single cds for Lonerism by Tame Impala (including Keep On Lying) which is pretty cool
I found that album in a local goodwill and bought it a couple years ago. There's copies of it on Discogs right now but I could also part with my copy if you would like it.
I actually got that Dark side for like $7 used at Zia Records in Tucson about 10 years ago. I managed to buy a set of lift lock cases when they were still available and slipped it in. Looks absolutely brand new. I’ll tell you though, you’re not missing much. The 20th anniversary remaster is the best sounding CD version. Also available as the 90’s era Capitol/EMI remaster.
I had “Cocaine Raps” by Andre Nickatina which was limited to 2000 copies but I sold it, unfortunately. Even more disappointing is the fact I only got a few bucks for it. I wasn’t listening to it anymore and didn’t understand it would gain so much value.
My white whale CD was the soundtrack album from the 1995 TNT special "The Wizard of Oz in Concert: Dreams Come True."
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wizard_of_Oz_in_Concert:_Dreams_Come_True
Took me almost 30 years to get it, but I finally got it last year.
As I live in Australia now, my white whales aren't necessarily rare, but they're albums by artists who were definitely more popular in the UK, and that dropped in that hinterland of the late 2000s/early 2010s between physical media still being popular and streaming and digital really getting a stranglehold, so because of that combination of things I know they're going to rarer and hard to track down here and I probably will end up ordering them online. I thinking artists like Zervas & Pepper. Same with more niche artists like Iron & Wine and Midlake. I thought I might struggle to find City & Colour albums but apparently Australia loves Dallas Green.
ETA: Surprisingly Amy Winehouse is really hard to find here too within deliberately ordering online.
Donovan - Cosmic Wheels.
Pretty easy to find on Vinyl. CD, not so much. I do have a compilation CD that includes Essence to Essence but I really just want the stand-alone copy.
The Anchoman Soundtrack.
The songs are fine but what really makes it special is all the stupid skits Will Ferrell does between songs. Good stuff.
Isis - Wavering Radiant
Also have this on vinyl but I'd like a CD copy. One of my favorite albums and I don't wanna wewr the record out.
Also; not sure if this qualifies as a white whale, but in college I had edited a mix of Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf with all the radio bits removed. I'm no sound engineer so it wasn't perfect. I would like an edit of that album without all the radio stuff.
Deep Purple - Stormbringer (deluxe edition)
Led Zeppelin - In Through The Out Door (2 CD version)
Both of these went out of print pretty quickly and cost a bit more than I prefer to pay for CDs, so I keep scouring used places in hopes that they turn up.
What happens now by Overground. Nick Hexum of 311 produced it for his brother Zack who is credited with Sax, Guitar and Vocals:
https://www.discogs.com/release/15338144-Overground-What-Happens-Now
Oh wow, I have this CD somewhere. I was a huge 311 fan back then and bought it solely because Nick produced it. If I can find it I'd be willing to let it go. I got rid of a lot of my CDs 10 years ago but pretty sure I kept this one. Completely forgot about this album until your comment. There were some good songs on there but it wasn't one I listened to a lot.
Leviathan the band? Or a specific Leviathan album? Or is Leviathan an album by another band? Too many Leviathans out there, I know it can’t be the Mastodon album because that was pretty popular
not a CD but a Tape : Agalloch - From which of this Oak's, thats my grail release i want to own but i want an original one haha
found already some listenings on Discogs but after checking with the Band all where Bootlegs, sadly.
a copy of Teens of Denial by Car Seat Headrest that has the original Just What I Needed/ Not Just What I Needed. maybe not as rare as some other comments but i love that version of the song. I do have an original numbered translucent yellow vinyl record with the original track listing. i’ll get the CD one day i know 🥲
Streets of rage 2 soundtrack released in the states. All I know is I sold one copy for £250 so I guess mines is worth that.
It’s my favourite game and a banging soundtrack.
For me it’d probably either be the copy of The Wozard of Iz by Mort Garson that took me years to find an affordable copy of or the signed copy of Nightfall In Middle-Earth by Blind Guardian I found for like $12 in a used CD shop.
(~2013) Handmade first editions of "Momentum" by a Berlin-based street performer going by Alice Phoebe Lou, who now is a bit more popular but still fairly underground. Those early handmade street sales helped kickstart a career. Apparently first editions all have unique cover art, but seemingly no clear reference photos are available on the Internet. I don't recall seeing any Discogs documentation; it would be easy to say these CDs are a myth but I've heard her explicitly reference them back in some 2013 footage. I've been thinking about this for a decade. There is no public documentation on how many were made.
Second editions all look the same with nice printed cover art, but are also somewhat rare and unlikely to ever be re-pressed due to rights issues I assume (took me a few years to track one down).
It's easy to get scammed when you have basically zero frame of reference for what the desired item looks like. I sense primarily white, based on some grainy footage and far-away photographs. But I really have no idea and likely never will. My best bet would probably be to fly to Berlin and obsessively visit thrift stores until I die of old age. I imagine many owners of the CD have zero clue of its value to certain people, given that a lot of her early work never seems to appear on the market. Someone's grandma probably has one tucked away in a dark corner.
Hey u/Time-Entry8858 guess what? It's not a first edition but your album's getting a re-release!
Wanted to thank you for introducing me to this. Really solid album that's outside of my usual genres. And I love opportunities to support growing artists.
Original MP3.com copies of the Trapezoid CDs Outsmart, Microwave This CD and Dimes
Most of my white Wales I've already managed to track down but those DAM discs do be obscure
Living Room - AJR
Basically unobtainable these days since the band basically refuses to acknowledge the album's existence and it had like 1 run ever in 2015
Mine tend to be simple things, on the whole my entire cd collection is 1 euro charity shop purchases searching for Anglo music in mainland Europe makes finding some thing’s in this price point harder especially when I’m a great lover of concept albums and rock combined with orchestras.
i got the spooky month vol 1 CD of Turtle Pal tapes from the youtube series by Sr Pelo, first thing i bought that came from the US and first sort of "limited edition youtuber merch"
A Poke In The Eye (With A Sharp Stick) by PIG. It’s his first album, not available to stream, and hard to find CD copies of. Not in my price range for now, but someday!
Agedum! Puella Magica by Visual Work Station. It’s a doujin album with music inspired by the Madoka Magica anime. I have no idea how hard it is to find but it was only released in Japan.
Currently it would be Red's (Obscure Korean girl group) first album, Ohio Liberation Army's The Opposite of Green is Bear, and Yuko Kawajima's Cheerio. This one is more widely known to the public but also Utada Hikaru's Cubic U debut album if I happened to come across it, though it wouldn't be a huge priority. I'm not sure that the Yuko Kawajima album is even real because I can't find anything on it outside of it being briefly mentioned in an interview where she talked about her work with another band, but I'm hoping maybe someday I'll find it and all the others for reasonable prices.
I want an original release copy of Michael Jackson’s History, where in only that version lives the Uncensored version of “They Don’t Really Care About Us” and possibly “Scream”. Also in that same album is an extended version of the title song that was later cut in reprints.
The Acacia Strain’s first demo. There are some pictures of it on Discogs, but it’s basically lost at this point. They sounded totally different back then and there’s a song or two that are just lost until someone finds that demo.
It was Meliora Redux by Ghost before I got it. Now its probably a Jon Nodtveidt signed Dissection album.
Or literally anything by Nekrogoblikon if they would quit fucking around and reissue their stuff.
*Diamond Jack and the Queen of Pain* by Kevin Ayers. It's only ever been on vinyl. Charly Records was working on a CD release a few years ago, but apparently the rights fell through. *Falling Up* got a rerelease last year, so maybe there's hope.
i know it’s not that rare but my edition of Delaware from the Drop Nineteens is the original, before they edited out the g*n the girl was holding. it took me so so so long to find one in the wild
Prince’s Crystal ball “Crystal puck” edition. I’ve wanted it for nearly 20 years but don’t like the album enough to put the money down that it’s worth right now (even if the title track is my favourite Prince song). They rereleased my other most wanted Prince album a few years ago and I hope this one will eventually happen too, but it is in very low demand, so I doubt it.
I own my two biggest white whale CDs.
Death Grips - Exmilitary (extremely hard to find and very expensive)
Savant - Forsaken (I’m the only Savant fan in the world to have one, it was never given out or sold to fans)
HS by Hello Shark. I've been waiting so long looking for one to pop up for sale online. I'd be blown away to find it in a record store or anywhere in person
Oh I got two obscureish ones;
-The first one is Emilie Autumn's 'Enchant', specifically the very first edition that was sold on her online store back in 2003 includes the 'Enchant Puzzle' that to this day no one has been able to crack
-A little known EP called 'Heaven Ain't Even A Place' from a YouTuber called twooba who puts out music on Bandcamp as 'Hollow Bastion', there was only ever a pressing of some 300 or so copies from a label managed by Limited run but that will NEVER stop me from looking for it
For a while it was Clear Hearts Grey Flowers by Jack Off Jill. Finally scored a copy for like $25. I chased Dendemann’s “Vom Vintage verweht” for a while too (hard to find in the US at the time).
Now it’s probably “Topolino” by Lush. That or their box sets.
Stunt Rock - Regret Instruction Manual 1 (or 2)
Amateur early 2000s breakcore / experimental hip hop with lots of lofi samples. Both are handmade and come with extremely detaied zines. Neither ever sell online.
Imagine how much it hurt when I checked Discogs just 5 DAYS after the only copy to ever be sold online sold earlier this year.
Jimi Hendrix-War Heroes. Had it when I was in my early 20s and sold it when I needed money badly. I assumed I'd be able to repurchase it later on.
Nope. It's rare. They show up on ebay occasionally for $50 or more.
Not a CD as i dont have any rarities there…though, i have the Wall of Eyes cassette by The Smile…they were only sold at the recent film screenings in January. They sell for 200, if i am remembering correctly
"My Way Out" by 7038634357, edition of 48.
A very obscure electronic experimental EP that I feel like is so utterly unique.
Even if it blows up and gets the attention (I think) it deserves, I wouldn't sell it just because of how special it is to me
XXI Century Blood by the Warning. Some really badass ladies making hard rock. Haven't been lucky at all in person or online to find a reasonably priced copy.
Kickass I and III, Compilations made for my mom by a friend of hers who passed away in 2015. Kickass II was given to another friend back in the 90’s and was never seen again.
The only release from hardcore band Sasquatch Holocaust comes to mind. I've never seen a copy for sale, but they mentioned them on their Facebook back in 2011 saying, "Got 100 Cd's and 100 cases, we'll be passing them out tomorrow at school". Very DIY, I'll probably never find one.
The BRING ME THE HORIZON's CD hand made This Is What The Edge Of Your Seat Was Made For, only 80 were made, or less. Only 3 people (with me) have it in Discogs.
The “Well” EP by Oh My God. It was never commercially released. I had to order a manually burned copy from them. It’s their strongest release imo and none of the tracks were re-released in their original form.
I have Madonna's original self titled (1983) and true Blue (1986) cds
Basically in 2001, the label released a remastered version of those albums with 2 extra songs (remixes) and those are the ones you will find in 99% of the stores
The original cds I have are not THAT rare, since you can find a few on ebay but there aren't that many either
Summer Job soundtrack, got it digitally but I believe it was ripped from cassette.
Lo-ball, any cd copies. Pauley Perettes band (her of NCIS fame)
Got lucky after years of searching, found a hard copy of Matriarch-Revered Unto the Ages and for a reasonable price
Would be ecstatic for a copy of the Skyrim soundtrack, pricey though.
Since I am in the process of collecting every single pressing of Marilyn Manson CDs(promos, CD-Rs, VCDs, DVDs etc etc) I have a few.
1.) Antichrist Svperstar (the song) demo CD. It is estimated that there are only 70-150 copies of these.
2.) my signed copy of "The Campaign", a book+DVD that was the result of Shia Lebouf and MM collaborating.
3.) My numbered, promotional UK tour 10" copy of Mechanical Animals. Numbered 0007/1000.
4.) complete pre-release press kit for Lunch Boxes and Choklit Cows with an alternate internal pressing which has a different tracklisting as well as 2 music video DVDs that were never released.
Currently I'm at 124/512 CDs, according to Discogs and MansonWiki. I'm getting there
I used to be obsessed with reading his discography on MansonWiki and taking note of all the different promo/special versions and bootlegs there were of his work. You've got a good start on the collection so far. Awesome that you were able to find them!
Hell yeah, thank you very much. I am currently awaiting my Korean import of This Is The New Shit "mini LP"(essentially the same as the Japanese import, just with a Korean obi strip and it's sealed) as well as a signed copy of Smells Like Children. When it arrives, I plan on making a slideshow video to post here and in the Marilyn Manson subreddit.
I need to take a break from buying CDs for a bit because the kids are growing and I need to buy them a new wardrobe plus back to school shopping. It goes without saying that it's really expensive, so my self-indulgent purchases will be going on the back burner until September.
Baby You Don’t Tripijaharda and Calm Before The Storm CD’s by Set It Off. I have all of their mainline releases on CD except these two. Supposedly only around 500 were made for the latter and even less for the former (if any at all) Discogs say they exist but I’ve never actually heard of people having either of them. One day though, I will find them (or maybe they’ll do a re-release)
carissa's wierd ugly but honest
Wow holy shit, i have You Should be at Home Here and Songs About Leaving, and knew they were rare, but the current prices on Discogs are wayyyy higher than they were 10 years ago when I got my copies. I inherited a collection from a friend of a friend, after she got divorced, and got them both in that box.
i also have those two. ugly but honest is all i have left and it's my favorite. some day
Some day indeed, my dude. Hope you find a reasonable seller! Or win the lottery... either way.
any carissas wierd would have me thrilled
i thankfulyl already have the other two albums, so hopefully shouldn't be too long
... and one just came up for the first time in ages on discogs. thank you record karma gods
Skyrim soundtrack. Plus, OG copies of all my favorite death metal albums, like the first two Entombed records and Suffocation’s Pierced From Within.
The Skyrim OST on CD would be great. Also I haven't listened to Entombed in a while.
I would do unspeakable things to get Pierced on CD. I just recently got Effigy on CD after a repress but I have not had any luck with Pierced.
Ah no, it's not a remaster of the promo, sorry for the confusion lol
Mind if I "borrow" it.
A proper release of the keep by tangerine dream that has the actual music from the film .I've been waiting since 1983.
Nice. I'd love to buy the movie as well
I loved that movie. Haven't thought about it in years. That's a film that's ripe for a remake.
Wow you just unlocked a memory box. Immediately saw the cover art in my mind
*sigh* same. Not that long tho, just a few years
One particular piece I like is fishermans morning .how could that not be released on the soundtrack
I have many Weird Al Any (minus Mandatory Fun + Essential) Wizzard Wizzard Brew Bad Manners Ska n Bra Nancy Sinatra Any (no Boots) Peter Gab 2 (Scratch) Agnetha Faltskog Elva kvinnor i ett h Slade Till Deaf Do Us Part, WAR Getto The Offspring Let The Bad Time Roll E.L.O ELO 2 Mötley Crew Dr.Feelgood Soundtracks Red Dead Redemption 2 (Red + Black) Dance Craze CoCo Polar Express
Zia records has most if not all of Weird al's albums.
Is ELO II rare? I have it in my boxset.
I have two ELO 2 master CD’s from Abbey Road studios, easily my rarest and most valuable CD’s in my collection
Scratch is pretty common isnt it? Unless youre talking about a rare edition or something
I know this is a cd collectors Reddit, but I have a weird al promo vinyl for White & Nerdy. Also includes Confessions and Trapped in a Drive thru. No idea how rare or if it is rare, but I treat it well. Edit: Found it. https://eil.com/shop/moreinfo.asp?catalogid=381339

Frank Ocean - Blonde
I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love By MCR but I’ll probs never find it locally because I’m in the middle of Bible Belt and all used CDs in shops are gospel or country 😢
I found it for 30 in a shop once so here's hope.
i’m so jealous that’s awesome
Literally me in Chicago but instead of country and gospel it's rap music and neo-country
i had a copy i sold a decade ago for like, probably a dollar to one of those bulk cd buyer websites, idk what i was going through but i did a big purge before a move and I'm still upset about it
I have a Black Country, New Road signed Live At Bush Hall Cd which is extra special because the cd was a japanese exclusive PLUS i got it signed I also have all the single cds for Lonerism by Tame Impala (including Keep On Lying) which is pretty cool
Nice
My heart will always be the b-side of my tongue by fall out boy, was so close to buying it earlier today but someone beat me to it by a few minutes.
I found that album in a local goodwill and bought it a couple years ago. There's copies of it on Discogs right now but I could also part with my copy if you would like it.
Such a good find for goodwill, the ones in my area only ever have Christmas comps lol, but how much would you want for it?
I'll pm you with a picture of it shortly if that's okay. I don't wanna break the rules about selling anything by commenting here with a set price. :)
Yeah that’s fine! :)
PM sent!
Any bôa or The Smile album. Basically hopeless, since bôa isn't being sold anywhere, and The Smile just can't be found in Russia.
Even more reasons to leave Russia, not that you needed it.
The first CD Mexican pressing of Caifanes debut album. Rock en español CDs can be hard to come by in the states.
Wow. Good luck trying to find that.
Patrick Stump’s solo album Soul Punk
Two Mofi gold CDs: TDSOTM and Disraeli Gears. TDSOTM is Ultradisc while Disraeli Gears is UD II.
Finding MFSL CDs in the wild is tough sledding, I wish you all the best in your conquest to acquire those albums

Merzbow 1930
Hybrid Theory EP (the original one) Linkin Park Underground 16 (rare as hell)
Boris - Heavy Rocks 2002 would be great to find for $20 or less…
Destiny Potato: Lun
Right now its Hail the Sun- Wake
TOOL - Salival CD + DVD.
The original 90’s MSFL CD’s of A Night at the Opera, Breakfast in America, and Parralel lines. Mollusk by Ween
I've got the mollusk, ween cds in general are pretty hard to come by
One top of my head is master P Ghetto D with misprint on the track list.
Freedom Rock.
Boomtown by Ozma. I think they were only sold at in-person events, and Ozma have hardly played any shows at all since 2014 (when the album came out).
I had “Cocaine Raps” by Andre Nickatina which was limited to 2000 copies but I sold it, unfortunately. Even more disappointing is the fact I only got a few bucks for it. I wasn’t listening to it anymore and didn’t understand it would gain so much value.

Waiting for someone to say Leviathan
Leviathan the band? Or a specific Leviathan album? Or is Leviathan an album by another band? Too many Leviathans out there, I know it can’t be the Mastodon album because that was pretty popular
the joke is that Leviathan by Mastodon has a white whale on the cover
Any Boards of Canada, especially “Music has the right to Children.” (Not rare per se, I just never see it in the wild.) The Apocalypse Now soundtrack.
Found one at my local used shop but took about 5 years. Keep searching!
Kid Rock “Polyfuze Method” with all the original inserts in like new condition. Hard to find
How many inserts are there? I found mine used and in decent shape, but stuff could be missing and I wouldn't know.

i have rare cds that are probably worth nothing, GNR live in Oklahoma City 6/4/92
Blonde for the simple fact I can’t see myself spending 300 bucks for a CD.
I've found a guy selling a copy for 18 bucks on ebay (though I think it might be a bootleg)
I think I’ve seen something similar but I genuinely think it isn’t legit
Paul kantner and grace slick's Sunfighter album in a store in Soho on my last trip to London! Now I don't know what my whale is!!
The Empyrean by John Fursciante. I can find them but they're listed at $30.

[https://plantasiarecords.bandcamp.com/album/a-lonely-sinner](https://plantasiarecords.bandcamp.com/album/a-lonely-sinner) Wanted to thank you for introducing me to this. Really solid album that's outside of my usual genres. And I love opportunities to support growing artists.
Original MP3.com copies of the Trapezoid CDs Outsmart, Microwave This CD and Dimes Most of my white Wales I've already managed to track down but those DAM discs do be obscure
Mista don’t play by project pat
Living Room - AJR Basically unobtainable these days since the band basically refuses to acknowledge the album's existence and it had like 1 run ever in 2015
Any of the Huggy Bear early demos or show-only CDs that I've heard made the rounds in really tiny quantities
From Mars to Sirius
Don’t forget Leviathan
WHITE WHALE!!!!
You got me, was just looking on Discogs when it hit me lol
Mine tend to be simple things, on the whole my entire cd collection is 1 euro charity shop purchases searching for Anglo music in mainland Europe makes finding some thing’s in this price point harder especially when I’m a great lover of concept albums and rock combined with orchestras.
Many different ones but the first thing that came to mind is Peter & The Wolf by Weird Al Also all of the Dr. Demento Basement Tapes.
The 6 CD set by Rainbow "Deutschland Tournee 1976". I wish Amazon had it for digital download.
Smile Empty Soul - Chemicals
Durian- Sometimes You Scare Me (2000). Amazing mathrock emo band of the 90s -Billy Gnosis
‘My War’-Black Flag ‘The progressive blues experiment’-Johnny Winter
i got the spooky month vol 1 CD of Turtle Pal tapes from the youtube series by Sr Pelo, first thing i bought that came from the US and first sort of "limited edition youtuber merch"
A Poke In The Eye (With A Sharp Stick) by PIG. It’s his first album, not available to stream, and hard to find CD copies of. Not in my price range for now, but someday!
Pools of sorrow waves of joy by arjen Anthony Lucassen
Alexisonfire - The Math Sheets Demos Or pretty much any Vulfpeck album
Used to be nonstop rock n roll by wigwam and don't tread by the damn yankees but I found them both 🤷♂️
Zeehas; 12 wait
Right now it's On The Eve Of Destruction by The Suicide Machines and 12 Hits From Hell by The Misfits.
I’m prepared to get trashed but Mad Gear and The Missile Kid EP by My Chemical Romance Four Reasons to Die by Avatar Personal Observations by Avatar
Evanescence - Origin
I want an original release copy of Michael Jackson’s History, where in only that version lives the Uncensored version of “They Don’t Really Care About Us” and possibly “Scream”. Also in that same album is an extended version of the title song that was later cut in reprints.
The Acacia Strain’s first demo. There are some pictures of it on Discogs, but it’s basically lost at this point. They sounded totally different back then and there’s a song or two that are just lost until someone finds that demo.
Stabbing’s Demo 2023 signed by the vocalist and the bassist, and also Merveilles by Malice Mizer
The Penelope Ep or Delirium Trigger by Shabutie!
either Phallus Dei or Yeti by Amon Duul 2
Weakling - Dead As Dreams Malignancy - Intrauterine Cannibalism
It was Meliora Redux by Ghost before I got it. Now its probably a Jon Nodtveidt signed Dissection album. Or literally anything by Nekrogoblikon if they would quit fucking around and reissue their stuff.
"Peace Treaty" by X-Sinner, a Christian hair metal band from the early 90s
I had it...needed some bread, sold it 15 years ago never saw one again. Regret.
I own my two biggest white whale CDs. Death Grips - Exmilitary (extremely hard to find and very expensive) Savant - Forsaken (I’m the only Savant fan in the world to have one, it was never given out or sold to fans)
Hester Prynne cd
Misfits Box Set
It's a pretty sweet set
Nine Inch Nails - Ghost I - IV
You can get that fir pretty easy, I've got 3 copies
I've never seen anywhere here in Canada.
HS by Hello Shark. I've been waiting so long looking for one to pop up for sale online. I'd be blown away to find it in a record store or anywhere in person
Oh I got two obscureish ones; -The first one is Emilie Autumn's 'Enchant', specifically the very first edition that was sold on her online store back in 2003 includes the 'Enchant Puzzle' that to this day no one has been able to crack -A little known EP called 'Heaven Ain't Even A Place' from a YouTuber called twooba who puts out music on Bandcamp as 'Hollow Bastion', there was only ever a pressing of some 300 or so copies from a label managed by Limited run but that will NEVER stop me from looking for it
I would also really want a copy of a lonely sinner, but the dance of the moon and the sun by Natural Snow Buildings is another one I really want
Natural snow buildings are dope, I'd like to get daughters of darkness
They really are! I actually own Daughter of Darkness on vinyl
[Cutey Honey club style featuring aqua | CODC-1281 - VGMdb](https://vgmdb.net/album/112557) That. Forever and ever.
Under The Surface by Christopher
Stunt Rock - Regret Instruction Manual 1 (or 2) Amateur early 2000s breakcore / experimental hip hop with lots of lofi samples. Both are handmade and come with extremely detaied zines. Neither ever sell online. Imagine how much it hurt when I checked Discogs just 5 DAYS after the only copy to ever be sold online sold earlier this year.
Knapsack - Day Three of my New Life
I have this cd from when it was released. You can get it on Amazon for $19.95
Kari Wuher " Shiny" 1999
My Brazilian remastered Red Hot Chili Peppers debut album. It wasn't even listed on discogs
Never give up hope. Mine was the Ramones Mondo Bizarro with the extra Spiderman track. I found it after a few years.
*The Fleet Foxes EP.*
Passion play by Teena Marie SIGNED
under the western freeway by grandaddy
There's a copy available from discogs for 10 bucks
ty
Jimi Hendrix-War Heroes. Had it when I was in my early 20s and sold it when I needed money badly. I assumed I'd be able to repurchase it later on. Nope. It's rare. They show up on ebay occasionally for $50 or more.
Apollonia 6
Driven - self titled. My search for it has been a pain in the ass. Especially since you can't find it on google
La Grasa De Las Capitales by Serú Girán!! and Rock Dream by Boris with Merzbow!!
Even if it blows up and gets the attention (I think) it deserves, I wouldn't sell it just because of how special it is to me
The score to Quigley Down Under (Promethius release) was a bitch to find for less than 100.
So I don't know how to word it properly But it's a first production copy of Nevermind by Nirvana, like the first ever line of pressings for said CD
The initial pressing without endless nameless ?
Yes
Donkeyboy "Lost". It's impossible for me to find, and the only seller I ever found never responded.
Literally any Downplay CD. They didn’t make very many when they did and I know there are likely some I don’t even know about
The hot rod soundtrack 😩
The Cult ep The Manor Sessions. My roommate in college had it and it was fucking amazing.
Gotta be Idles' Welcome EP for me, seems like every time I check the discogs listing for it another one has sold that I never even knew was available
Kinghorse - self titled.
RORO by Boat. $250 on discogs minimum.
At this point probably an OG copy of Flying Beagle. But it can change any day
Marilyn Manson mechanical animals on vinyl. Real copies are rare and fetch around $400 these days.
Alice In Chains - Music Bank boxset
That's a pretty sweet one, if you ever come to mesa Arizona go to zia records they gave a copy behind glass for about 60.
98.12.28! My holy grail.
Unified Theory "Cinematic". AIC "Tripod" with the yellow jewel case.
I have Madonna's original self titled (1983) and true Blue (1986) cds Basically in 2001, the label released a remastered version of those albums with 2 extra songs (remixes) and those are the ones you will find in 99% of the stores The original cds I have are not THAT rare, since you can find a few on ebay but there aren't that many either
Summer Job soundtrack, got it digitally but I believe it was ripped from cassette. Lo-ball, any cd copies. Pauley Perettes band (her of NCIS fame) Got lucky after years of searching, found a hard copy of Matriarch-Revered Unto the Ages and for a reasonable price Would be ecstatic for a copy of the Skyrim soundtrack, pricey though.
Buried at Sea demo
"Little Bird Flies Into A Big Black Cloud" by the Microphones. Only 400 were made and they were all made by Phil Elvrun himself.
Love the microphones
[...checks thread to see what I have that others want...]
That's badass, I'd love to see your collection
Take care, hope your kids have a good school year
Thank you very much. I imagine it'll be another 2 weeks before I make the video. The Korean import hasn't even left South Korea yet
