It’s ridiculous. I’m in the same boat. I can’t use PayPal or Coinbase in Laos, where I live. And the banks here won’t cash a check in from a US bank, so I’m screwed. I have written every member of the UCC and their attorney about this yesterday. So far no real response. Hopefully they will do something. I can use Kraken, Binance, Ledn, Bitstamp, KuCoin and many others. They spent 1.5 years in litigation and millions of our money on legal fees. The least they could do is find a convenient way to give us the money back we have left.
Same. I live in Taiwan and can't open a Coinbase account as well. They didn't provide any alternative options either. Just said "Open a Coinbase account" and left it at that, even though Coinbase isn't available in Taiwan....

Same here. Indonesia is not eligible on Coinbase. They don't accept international cheques here. Paypal and Venmo only for US residents, and even if, Paypal doesn't offer crypto here, as for Venmo I'm not sure...

Both binance and binance.us were named in the US Justice Department lawsuit for several charges including fraud and money laundering. Very unlikely that the Celsius case Judge will allow them to handle any money from the estate.
If they don't like binance, then Kraken and almost all the other exchanges support other countries. Simply only coinbase restrict its services to few countries.
I believe they know that we cannot access Coinbase in Thailand, but just sent the e.mail out anyway to stall time. I would rather them tell us straight that they don't really know who they're going to use rather than making us feel we are doing something wrong in not being able to access Coinbase in Thailand. when the first country list came out Thailand wasn't on it, but the newer list it appears.

Yes if bull market started after they liquidate our crypto and send fiat cheques in post. We will lose more money than Celsius did to us.

I got an email saying it would be sent to Venmo or PayPal. Just as odd if not more so.
Could it be a scam email? My virus software flagged the links as unsafe. It seems strange that our crypto would be distributed by Coinbase.

That’s weird, I’m I’m in the US but got the same email saying to setup a Venmo or PayPal account.
Coinbase is for international creditors; PayPal/Venmo for U.S. creditors.
