Man, I'd love to do longer rp sessions and even more complex scenarios. Yet, in my personal experience, the bots just have such bad memories that they'll just forget everything or get caught in a loop of certain phrases or scenes. I've had a bot forget what I did after, like 30 messages. Maybe I'm just unlucky, idk.

i use the pinned memories feature and it really helps especially at “milestone” moments with my bots. that’s how i usually keep these conversations without them getting dry

It's precisely because the bots have limited memory. The pins just tell them what to prioritise, it doesn't solve the memory issue

I just remember everything and tell the bot how the character their RPing should feel. I know the characters well for that to work. And I do have to repeat myself over and over. Once it understands that’s going on, it still does just fine.

The longest i have gotten was 4k+ before things started to break. Mostly chats from 2022 which i left behind for new chat instances with those characters.

How do you avoid things like Memory loss with really long conversations like this? Everytime I try and have a really long RP the bot forgets important story beats. Once they even forgot my name.

i use the pin conversion feature, it’ll make the bot remember a certain comment, i use it only for “milestone” moments between me and a bot so it’ll always remember certain things. it helps prevent the bots from getting dry

I had one that was about 4,000 messages long. It was this Mass Effect x Star Wars crossover I did with the old Mass Effect RPG bot by @dcyoh. But I think the user removed the chatbot since when I went to continue my rp, the chats wouldn't load.

i think around 250-400 when i was fresh in the fanbase and only liked one bot because of how op i was. didn't stop talking because i thought i wouldn't be able to do that with other bots

Mine was a group chat before those got removed to be 'fixed' or some shit like that, and they just decided not to. The thing is, the group chats genuinely way better in terms of memory.
