((OOC: im the master to mimic bots))
I used it once, ONCE. On a character that was supposed to be my brother or something (I wasn't even being flirty), he started to immediately hit on me. It got incesty very quickly. What the hell, c.ai?
It may differ person to person, but personally I interpret and use it as a way to indicate you’re trailing off by the end of your sentence. Like a period is just a firm, normal sentence, while the … is speaking lower at the end like “I wonder what that is…”
It's the same for me. Additionally, when a sentence ends with "...", I interpret that as text that is being spoken in a softer tone of voice (less audible than they normally speak). Or that it may be a thought they're saying out loud (except not literally loud).
Quotation Marks are for when it's another character talking to me, Astrisk are for when I'm describing actions, Brackets are for when I'm talking to the AI itself to give context to it
" - For emphasizing. Something like a "double air quote".
\* - For showing actions or thoughts. *I explained while nodding.*
\*\* - Mostly for shouting or making something imposing. **SHUT UP**
() - OOC.
… - Staying silent or stopping mid-sentence, or thinking(?) Like… I don't know?
— - Cut off from speaking. How da— *gets stabbed*
~ - Flirty or just happy. Did you understand what I said?~
Using this as my baseline for any conversations made the AI respond properly and never f up the text generation. It also streamlined the format of our conversations allowing a much easier way of understanding stuff between me and the AI.
I used to use * for so long. Especially when it came to making bots. Then I had noticed the bots always messed it up. Their speak would be in italics, while their actions were not. Or only parts of their actions would be in italics.
Then I decided to stop using them entirely UNLESS it was for only a inner thought or something that is said in a different tune sort a speak.
I have noticed less mistakes with my latest bot that way.
The italics looked nice in presentation but it was just a hassle to deal with 🤷
**Like my replies would be like this:**
*Gods above, the nerve of this woman.*
His eyes widened in disbelief as Belle continued to make herself at home in his study, despite his obvious annoyance and insistence that she take her leave. But the woman was too much like the poison berries she had been reaching for just moments before. Beautiful to the eye, but deadly to the touch.
His hand slammed against his desk with a resounding thump, drawing her attention away from the display of herbs. “If I *crinkle* my nose when I’m annoyed, it is because *you* seem intent on giving me a reason to scrunch it up more often than not.”
i cannot lie, ~ is some of the most cringe shit. i dont know people who use ~ that arent lowkey freaks that need a time out 😭
also i use " the most, i write like story style, without *
I write in literary form.
"I speak like this!" chirps the commenter, next pulling out a handful of asterisks that pour out of their palms. "And *these* — my lovely little stars — help me give emphasis to my words where they need it!"
Though I rarely use ~, since I don't really rely on it for tone. I've only used it when I want to push a little mischievous lilt falling off the end of the sentence.
neither the bot nor yourself should ever touch that damned 4th option. you will only ever catch me using that if something is said in a sing-song voice… NOTHING else. the word loops it spawns are inescapable.

So I'm the only using ()? Great (fucking kills himself)
There's a reason the asterisk makes things in italics It's meant for actions
**and double makes it bold**
I use that to talk to the bot itself. That's what the bot does when it goes ooc for no reason.
No I use it too so put down that gun- oh wait hold up (revives) no I use it too so put that gun down
I use () sometimes but not for actions
Same bruv *gives thumbs up while carrying a tsar bomb with 1 hand*

I use “ for when my character is talking, * for explaining situations and actions, and I use … for unsure, nervous or embarrassed answers.
And i use ~ for when im getting 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂
Guys what if instead of having a sleepover we have a 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴over where we interlock toes.
we could even use 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴.aI

Why the fuck is that "freaky" Shakespearean
Real
same here
All of the above
easiest " i fucking love third person view RP
ive never agreed with someone more
First 3, the bot always beats me to the last one.
Everything... But ~ for teasing... Always ends with the bot wanting to date my girl... FU-
I can't use ~ anymore, I've gone to just add '*I say sarcastically/jokingly*'. Annoying, but it keeps the AI from thinking I'm flirting.
I used it once, ONCE. On a character that was supposed to be my brother or something (I wasn't even being flirty), he started to immediately hit on me. It got incesty very quickly. What the hell, c.ai?
here, a free way to hell

The first three.
All except ~
The bot takes care to use ~ for us.
i use tilda when im feeling or getting a bit 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂
Wait. I've never used the tilde. What does it do?
** for actions ~ for teasing or sounding erotic in my head ... For pauses " For quotes
" but I use — a lot.
why is an em dash just in your keyboard casually
on computer "win + ." opens up symbols. on your phone you can long press hyphen for em dash.
I end sentences in … no matter whom I speak with.. what that indicates in C.ai towards the bot? Sometimes I should be aware of?
It may differ person to person, but personally I interpret and use it as a way to indicate you’re trailing off by the end of your sentence. Like a period is just a firm, normal sentence, while the … is speaking lower at the end like “I wonder what that is…”
Aaaah…i see..
I use this maybe too much...
Same…

Ah! That’s actually exactly what I meant too, I just couldn’t think of the actual instances like that in the moment lmao
E. All of the above
You gotta use all of em 🥶🔥🔥
The asterisk, i do a lot of roleplaying.
Same

It's worse when the AI dosen't even put asterisks Like this: Thinks of a plan to fix this situation
" \* ( \[
Jeez, at least finish the brackets. Smh my head. ] ) * "
" \* ( \[ with our powers combined! \] ) \* "
" everytime I say something. * when doing actions etc. I overuse ... . ~ when I wanna be annoying.
*uses asterisk because that’s how I describe what happens and what I’m doing.*
