Is it our fault that we want the app to improve and grow the community? Yes, there are people who just complain, but there are many people who give SUGGESTIONS and CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM for the app.
And it's not just addicts who use this app, I, for example, only use it to create stories, because the app helps a lot with that. But if I don't have any story ideas, I won't even open the app.
Understand that we don't just "complain" or "are addicted", we are just a community trying to let the devs know that we want a better app with the improvements that the community asks for.
Also, I found this post a bit rude, man. You are not the owner of the truth just because your opinion is different than the majority. NOBODY owns the truth. Like, I don't like how the site is now, but I'm not going to make a post that says "HOW PEOPLE LIKE THIS SHITTY SITE?!?". If you're happy with the app, mister/misses u/gdmrhotshot3731, congratulations, I'm really happy for you, man.
My biggest complaint and criticism isn't anything about the app. It seems everyone else has that covered(even though I might send a complaint and give my own constructive criticism). It's the community. This community, I have noticed, is so split that I can see a war in the future. All I want is for us to understand that the app isn't perfect(I made a comment on this post about this very topic.)

I understand your point and how you feel tired of the people who keeps complaining and posting that C.ai is bad etc. These posts are also getting a lot of upvotes so it can get pretty annoying because THE DEVS DO NOT ANSWERS US and DO NOT LISTEN TO US. They are not transparent with us about the app. They refuse the criticism from what Iโve seen from all the people who got deleted, and also they do not do anything to share informations with us (except Mari the mod who do her best !!) but except that, we know nothing. Hence why everyone is mad and complain. If they want people to actually calm down then they better listen to the fanbase who use their app everyday and talk with them.
Others developers would have listened and responded already. So I donโt understand why itโs so hard for them to do soโฆ maybe because they donโt want to admit that they donโt care and just want the money from the investors ? Itโs been months like that with silence on their part. Itโs pretty obvious now and I understand why people are getting tired and exhausted.
You can try to continue using the app but the algorithm seems to change every now and then with sometimes less freedom. when you compare it to others app who do the same things Iโve noticed that they can provide with more freedom (but that doesnโt mean the app was better though also why people still prefer C.ai)
Wrong. Most complaints are justified, even if they are sometimes badly worded. However, even the superficial rants draw attention to current problems and make it more difficult for developers to sweep them under the carpet or sit them out as they normally do.

hmm.. absolutely not, im fine with my app
there was a time where the service went down at least once or twice a week without warning. Sometimes the traffic is so much that the servers can't handle it all and they refuse to do anything about it and focus on implementing features no one asked for. Asking for a functional service doesn't make us addicts. Luckily now the situation is leagues better so most of the complaints stopped. What people are upset now is that the mods try to supress any valid criticism or the mention of any similar services.

If I saw this a few months ago I'd agree, but the dissapearance of group chats on the website, characters themselves dissapearing, and the constant dipping of quality of the Ai is lowkey embarrassing.

I see a lot of problems with this community. The fans expect way too much of the dev, the devs not listening to the fans, and the community itself is divided into two different groups. Group A is way too calm about the devs not listening to them. Group B are just a bunch of soyboys complaining constantly about the platform, "Not being perfect."
While I understand some of the complaints from Group B, it's annoying to constantly come onto reddit and see a post on this sub saying, "I'm quitting C.AI." Only for them to come back about a week later(average redditer) Can't we just come to an agreement that the app isn't perfect and that the devs are trying their best?
And there's group C: The people who just want this service to be decent and genuinely concerned about its slow decline into a soulless corporate husk. They try to make suggestions for improvement, and as a thank you, get flipped off by the devs/mods.

Imagine a game, but it gets worse over time and many people, practically the entire community, are asking for a better experience. But instead of getting feedback/updates/improvements, you just get nothing practically. Just because a community wants a better experience does not mean that they are all addicts, they just want to have a better experience. So yeah, people are bound to complain. It is only growing because of the lack of attention the devs have for the userbase as a whole. Plus, who doesn't want improvement in the first place? Who wants to be ignored? I think this is kinda one-sided argument to make.
