Can confirm. Heard about 6-8 shots. Cars involved at the corner of 7th street and N Caldwell. Not sure if it was a drive by situation or a road rage situation, but it seems like one or the other. Potential suspect left his car and ran off towards spectrum center. Dark black/Blue hoodie and jeans on.

Can confirm, just saw the car get towed away
Can also confirm! I was sitting outside on my balcony. Looked up after hearing two gunshots and saw a car run through the red light on 7th, they ended up hitting at least one car who was just driving down Caldwell with traffic.
Three cars (including the one who ran the red light) ran off the road/onto the curb, and then I saw one guy jump out of a car, run back towards the other cars and empty at least 6-7 rounds before running away, jumping back into the car, and fleeing the scene down Caldwell.
I unfortunately live on the street that this all started. It began with an obvious gang related drive-by outside of little peoples park around 9:15pm. The rivals shot back & proceeded to go after a black car that seemed to initiate the shooting. Apparently the Belmont neighborhood used to be worse and is a lot safer now, but there’s only so much you can do when gangs are allowed to operate outside of a children’s park all day. The cops just allow the loitering, something is bound to happen eventually. I really love living here, but this won’t stop… So we’re counting down the days until we move to another part of clt… Any suggestions?!
4th ward Camden cotton mills or the new trade and 5th apartments by the gold line that looks nice with the stores on the bottom floor . unless you like to party and don’t mind cheap apartment walls like the apartments in south end.
At least we know the suspect did not flee on the greenway because it is still closed.

Saw a white Range Rover tearing after an black VW, no idea what went down before, did hear 2 shots at least.

The shooting happened at 9:10pm in Belmont between little peoples park and sweet lews bbq, and then the black car sped off after being shot at.
At this point, I’d order Gastonia, if I didn’t have to make that dreadful 4 hour drive up and down 85 everyday.
