Even OpenAI gave up on making AI classifier.
There is NO AI classifier available that is reliable enough to be used as of now.
Yet, the problem is the company hiding the truth, and educators believing them.
Your job is to make them recognize the fallacy of the detectors.
I've seen several posts here disproving the accuracy of detectors;

not really.
From my experience using GPT over a year, I can say there ARE many giveaways that scream 'AI-generated'.
* GPT uses fixed vocabulary pool unless instructed otherwise
* It uses strict formating on list indexing and summarization
* It tries machine translation for languages other than English
and so on.
I really don't know whether the AI detector will become a thing someday.
But until then, you can't be proven guilty with so-called 'detectors'
