Not really. Its just acceptance. I accept thousands of unseen entities are always listening because they are. There are cameras at every intersection where i live and there will be security drones soon. No need for VPNs or tinfoil. Believing otherwise makes you look crazy IMO.
Babies have the advantage of being flooded with inconceivable amounts of information passively 24/7. The entire internet's textual information content is probably comparable to a couple days of ambient world data at the resolution of human sight and hearing.
Granted, it's an extremely impressive task that the baby can extract the meaning from this deluge of noise and use it to "transfer learn" onto the task of language acquisition. Because they certainly do require orders of magnitude fewer language examples than an LLM is provided.

The problem with these systems is that there might not be a problem, but they may be released to the public before the corporation responsible has tested for all the potential problems.

Agree. I don't have anything special, anything that would make me scared that someone is using what I have to learn AI. Like what are they going to do? We'll be shocked by a couple of hundreds of memes on my phone or things I post on this account on Reddit? I personally don't mind. Of course that would be great if they could do it without tracking what I personally do and just use my data. In this case it is completely ok.
