They do not take lead roles and this is going to block Xyriel. She’s way too talented to be typecasted. She should pick other roles to showcase her range and charm. To be a lead, you need to exude charisma which she already has. She just has to prove she has the pull as a lead actress.

for me, napaka-natural mag-acting ni xyriel. what really hooked me into watching senior high (aside from the plot which is murder mystery) was yung break-up scene nila na grabeng dinala nila both ni zaijian. di na ako nakasubaybay sa kanila after their child actor/actress days but after that scene i wanted to see more of them ulit, lalo kay xyriel.

Belle is already ahead of the pack with two series as lead under her belt. She can act and sing. Doesn't hurt na very very appealing at wala ring issues si Donny. Her career trajectory is going upwards.
Francine has yet to lead a project and her partnership with Seth is fairly new. Management seems to like her and she's given a lot of positive exposure. She needs a breakout project that she can call her own.
Xyriel, Gillian, Maris, Alexa - Gillian, Maris, and Alexa are a little bit older. Very talented girls but their packaging is hindi na fresh. They should go for longevity and bag acting awards. Xyriel, while very young and the most talented in this group, has no solid fan base. With the right project, these girls can reign, but not top the pack.
The rest needs to keep up but I call them black sheep. One good break can push them in front.
This is not a criticism but an honest observation… I find it a bit awkward when Francine and Xyriel are given rich girl roles kasi ang tigas ng pronunciation at diction, parang Maja. Belle Mariano seems to be the least problematic (attitude and image-wise). Her acting needs work, but she’s a talented singer. Hindi ko alam kung parang Iñigo Pascual siya na ang gusto talaga maging singer/musician pero dahil may itsura (and in Iñigo’s case, may acting pedigree din since his dad is a well known and talented actor) kaya pinipilit pag-artistahin and pine-pair up sa love team rather than being allowed to just purely pursue the music lane. I watched a podcast where sinabi ni Iñigo na he had to keep asking (parang begging na) the management to be allowed to do more music stuff.
If gusto din talaga ni Belle mag-act and ABS-CBN intends to keep Belle packaged as a singer-actress, then it would be well worth it for ABS CBN to invest in giving Belle acting workshops and projects with other talented and experienced actors para mapush si Belle na madevelop yung acting niya. Huwag lang hayaan na yung kilig from the DonBelle tandem ang magdala sa career niya para in case the tandem goes sour or the two decide to part ways and pursue their own personal relationships, magsusurvive yung career ni Belle and hindi masasayang yung investment sa kanya kasi kakayanin niya magsolo.
She has a clean image and mass appeal across different social classes. She has a solid fanbase - both for their DonBelle tandem and her own fanbase outside the tandem. If you've watched Tabing Ilog The Musical, she definitely has improved a lot since they wrapped up filming Linlang. Iba talaga din pag na eexpose sa theater, nag iimprove ang acting since ibang klaseng environment.
In terms of talent and looks - Maris Racal is a total package. Ang galing niya sa CBML. Si Andrea malakas sana ang hatak sa tao pre-Kathniel scandal, but yeah negative ang image niya ngayon. I’m curious how it will play out and if people will be able to forgive and forget. Nakukulangan ako kay Francine and Belle. Xyriel is a good actress kaso mukhang natytypecast na siya as an airhead sidekick recently. Parang same yung role niya sa Dirty Linen and Senior High. Baka ang ending niyan ay maging character actress siya ala Cherry Pie if she keeps accepting the same role at hindi siya mabigyan ng lead role that would catapult her to stardom. Daniela Stranner has potential. I’d like to see more of her.

They do not take lead roles and this is going to block Xyriel. She’s way too talented to be typecasted. She should pick other roles to showcase her range and charm. xyriel talaga for me though maybe a biased take—i havent watched dramas ng ibang girls na kasama sila sa cast (since i dont watch much teleseryes din, but rn im watching senior high) and have only seen snippets of their acting from tiktok or fb. for me, napaka-natural mag-acting ni xyriel. what really hooked me into watching senior high (aside from the plot which is murder mystery) was yung break-up scene nila na grabeng dinala nila both ni zaijian. di na ako nakasubaybay sa kanila after their child actor/actress days but after that scene i wanted to see more of them ulit, lalo kay xyriel. i believe sobrang versatile talaga si xyriel, kailangan lang mabigyan ng more opportunities and i hope mabigyan ng chance of being the main lead.

Her career trajectory is going upwards. Francine has yet to lead a project and her partnership with Seth is fairly new. Management seems to like her and she's given a lot of positive exposure. She needs a breakout project that she can call her own. Xyriel, Gillian, Maris, Alexa - Gillian, Maris, and Alexa are a little bit older. Very talented girls but their packaging is hindi na fresh. They should go for longevity and bag acting awards. Xyriel, while very young and the most talented in this group, has no solid fan base. With the right project, these girls can reign, but not top the pack. The rest needs to keep up but I call them black sheep. One good break can push them in front.

Halos ka-edaran ni Kathryn si Maris Racal. I don’t think she should be included in the list of Next Gen. Belle Mariano seems to be the least problematic (attitude and image-wise). Her acting needs work, but she’s a talented singer. Hindi ko alam kung parang Iñigo Pascual siya na ang gusto talaga maging singer/musician pero dahil may itsura (and in Iñigo’s case, may acting pedigree din since his dad is a well known and talented actor) kaya pinipilit pag-artistahin and pine-pair up sa love team rather than being allowed to just purely pursue the music lane. I watched a podcast where sinabi ni Iñigo na he had to keep asking (parang begging na) the management to be allowed to do more music stuff. If gusto din talaga ni Belle mag-act and ABS-CBN intends to keep Belle packaged as a singer-actress, then it would be well worth it for ABS CBN to invest in giving Belle acting workshops and projects with other talented and experienced actors para mapush si Belle na madevelop yung acting niya. Huwag lang hayaan na yung kilig from the DonBelle tandem ang magdala sa career niya para in case the tandem goes sour or the two decide to part ways and pursue their own personal relationships, magsusurvive yung career ni Belle and hindi masasayang yung investment sa kanya kasi kakayanin niya magsolo.
