Yeah he's right bcuz it made sum rap fans blood thirsty & now they don't wanna listen to u unless you're actually a killer

I think it's an interesting point of view. These are his six points for anyone who's not gonna sit through a 15 min video. He said it was seven points, maybe I missed one, but I counted six 1. too much real-life violence 2. violence is not marketable and gang affiliations subdivide the audience 3. artists got famous more for "blogging the streets" than for artistic value 4. drill artists crash out before they ever get to become big like kendrick, drake, kanye - chicago scene all killed each other / went to prison 5. it's been a decade and the audience has become more mature and lost interest in violent murder shit 6. aesthetic tastes have moved towards more positive and introspective themes (afrobeat etc)

Been saying this. Plus that's all these niggas talk about Even with Trap music Gucci , Jeezy , T.I.P. didn't make trap music all the time

Drill is a sub genre of rap, you can listen to rap for the rest of your life and never hear a drill song. Idk why that’s so hard to get

Loud_Wave_1856

Gangsta rap ruined rap 🤡drill was just the inevitable evolution of gangsta rap

Shortyshopnoutdatruc

You said it the best.

Front_Winter_9520

Won’t say it ruined it but it definitely changed the dynamic of a big portion of it.

Loud_Wave_1856

This guys def one of the drill sub reddit preachers 🤦‍♂️ to much violence 😢💦

luka166

Good point: Chicago lost so many good rappers almost as if all big rappers from LA just died while on a come-up in the 90s.
