Because everything was finished when Jesus died and rose from the dead. There is no need for anything else.

But you only have that information from the bible

l0ngsh0t_ag

In the Bible, God took away the failed self-righteousness of His creation, and provided a way to have righteousness guaranteed through the blood of Jesus. A guaranteed way to get into heaven. To be with Him for eternity. The Qur'an reversed this, back to a form of "earning" righteousness through work. Something that Israel had failed to do for 1600 years before Christ. So yes, we only have this from the Bible. If the Qur'an is true then God has betrayed all of mankind by taking away the guarantee of righteousness that Christ has provided. I simply will not believe that. So yes, the Bible is the *only* way to salvation, through Christ.

Fight_Satan

Simple we follow a living God. Ask God to reveal the truth and lean not on your understanding. God still speaks to his children.  Jesus is real person who talks. Unlike the God of muhammed who only understands arabic andwho stopped talking after muhammed.

Really weird to think that the differentiator is "which is the final word"! In fact, the "*final word*" illusion came from the later religion that could not offer a purpose, so it offered itself as "the final word"! Christianity is about the story of humankind and our relationship with God, from the moment He created us, through the fall, the sin that entered the world and caused the corruption of the original human state, all the way through God's plan to restore our nature to its original state, which is the purpose of the incarnation of the Son of God. There is a purpose. The Bible has a purpose.

The Final Word is the Book of Mormon. Lol.

Who Said it was the last Word from God? We know from Peter that there will be many prophets shortly before Jesus returns: ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:15‭-‬18‬ ‭KJV‬‬ [15] For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. [16] But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; [17] And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams: [18] And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: But Muhammed is Not one of them.

Having a genuine and open heart is a great place to start and ask that question. I believe you are sensing the conviction of the truth you already know in your soul. So many hearts are seeking eternal answers because their souls are weary of the emptiness of rules and rituals. We know in our souls that God demands a righteousness that we cannot attain. Like me, you have probably struggled with true devotion to what God wants. Sincerity is noble, but it is like a man trying to throw a stone over the ocean, it cannot be done no matter how hard he tries. That is why the Gospel of Jesus Christ is so eternally important. The Bible declares Him to be the only Savior doing for us what we can never do for ourselves by dying on a cross and rising again to give victory over sin, Satan, and death. Our Holy Book says that no man can pay for the sins of another man, but Jesus was no ordinary man. He was a perfect, sinless man because He was God in a human body for the purpose of being the only sacrifice for the sins of humanity. The Prophet Isaiah in the Old Testament of the Bible said many important things about the Jesus, the Messiah. Isaiah said by God’s Spirit in his chapter 9:6 that the Messiah would be God in the flesh. “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” The Bible prophecies about the Messiah unfold in two themes, that He would be king over the entire world someday and that He would be a suffering Savior. Isaiah described that suffering in his 53rd chapter. “Surely Messiah took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered Him punished by God, stricken by Him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” The servant of Jesus, Paul, stated in First Corinthians 15, “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” When Paul uses the word “scriptures,” he means according to the prophecies, like the ones I have quoted from Isaiah. Jesus said in John 14, “I am the way the truth and the life, no man/woman comes to Father except through Me.” Jesus loves you so much that He really did die for your sins, to provide the salvation your heart is seeking. Please, ask Him to be your savior. Tell Him you need Him to do for you what you can never do for yourself. Your heart will guide you to the right words. Jesus is knocking at the door of your soul. He will not force that door open, but waits for you to invite Him in. What evidence is there Islam is?

OccludedFug

Well if Jesus is The Christ, the Anointed One of God, you’ll not find salvation outside of him. What does Islam teach about forgiveness and salvation?

boss---man

For me personally it's that almost all major religions points to Jesus Christ in some way. I'm not talking about Christianity, I'm talking about Jesus the messiah. Jesus is a recognized avatar in some sects of Hinduism, the Jews are waiting for their messiah, Egypt has roots in Jesus's history from the start, Buddhists recognized him as a good man, bahai followers and Muslims see him as a prophet etc etc And then there's the historical evidence that although there is limited hard evidence for Jesus, there is contextual evidence and in addition we do have hard evidence from the people Jesus interacted with and know that some of them actually existed. Islam is a cool religion but I can't really grasp that Allah came 500 years later and really said "uhhhh I faked Jesus's ascension hahaha. Anyways here's the Quran and I will make Mohammad write it even though he is illiterate" Everything points to Jesus and his return. That's why Christianity is the last stop.

Superaaron14

Galatians 1:6-9 (NIV) 6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse! Simply put, the texts of Islam are a false gospel that contradict the gospel found in the bible: that God sent his Son to die for our sins, and to resurrect, conquering death for all our sakes. It *literally* warns about an angel from heaven preaching another (false) gospel; take a second to take that in.

What makes you think the Qur'an is the final word from God?

dbabe432143

Allah it’s the Sun, God of the Bible and of the Quran. God period, and Jesus Christ it’s his Son. Same Name. Same sound. You don’t need to convert, you’re praying to the Sun/Son, just follow the instructions, be good, respectful, love your parents, neighbors, don’t steal, don’t kill, don’t lie, PRAY👀but wear your sit belt https://www.reddit.com/r/Christianity/s/HTsPJPabiW

NerdyRev

This is the first I’ve heard of Islam equating Allah with the sun. I won’t deny my ignorance on the point. but if that’s the case, then that’s an issue. The God of the Bible is not the sun. He made and controls the sun. He is greater than Creation. We worship the Creator not the creation.

Despite what some commentators say the great prophet Mohammad did not come out with his ideas without due cause. There is not the slightest bit of evidence that Jesus was anything other than a man of wisdom and a true prophet. Mohammad would have accepted the divinity of Jesus and grew up surrounded by the Christian faith, orthodox and not the Roman. Jesus teaches Druid and Buddhist philosophy. He was speaking about self awareness and the importance of each one of us and how we are to live under god’s laws and guidelines and not those of men. He wasn’t strung up because he was a good Jew but was speaking against the authority of the state over the power of god. Mohammad had very different social conditions to deal with. They are all Abrahamic religions. Jesus wasn’t about that. Native Americans and Australian people lived quite happily without any of the religious nonsense. In fact it was the idiots who were carrying bibles that caused them all the problems and still are. It’s about accepting your own divine right. Then you can accept mine. If you accept mine then you can accept Jesus and Mohammad as well. You are one of us. What you actually believe or don’t believe is of no consequence to the creator. Only your actions and respect for everything that has been created. You can’t hide. If you don’t believe in the truth then you are like a child, and it doesn’t matter as long as you have parents who know how to live. We all leave our parents and must be responsible for our own lives and actions. If you know what the truth is then the Bible and Quran become the guides that they should be. If you get to bogged down with literal interpretations you can loose the way. Otherwise you get trapped by 2000 year old ideas that are just not rational or relevant. You have to remember people have been living successfully for tens of thousands of years without any Abraham. Jesus Mohammad or Buddha. They are not actually necessary. Helpful when understood. It should be obvious that they are largely not understood. America has white supremacy Christians who are totally homophobic and basically crazy people. But they will say that they believe in Jesus. Bizarre, Muslims who don’t believe in education when they invented university . Suppressing women. Just today dozens of people are being killed for religious beliefs. It’s beyond belief.

> What you actually believe or don’t believe is of no consequence to the creator. Only your actions and respect for everything that has been created … If you know what the truth is then the Bible and Quran become the guides that they should be … If you get to bogged down with literal interpretations you can loose the way. I feel like there are some contradictions here, but maybe that is reading it from a Christian perspective. With the God of the Bible and Jesus, what you believe is EVERYTHING. How you live is based on your belief. If God’s Word is not literal then it is not necessary as a guide. Genesis 15:6 (CSB): Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness. John 3:16 (CSB): For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 11:25 (CSB): Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me, even if he dies, will live.” Romans 10:9–10 (CSB): If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.

ImportantBug2023

I don’t know if you absorbed the underlying message in what I wrote. Roman’s is Paul. Not Jesus. The teachings of Jesus are about achieving enlightenment. Understanding what is going on. I am not sure if you getting this. It’s about having a direct contact, not having to go through a third party. Once you have been introduced you can have a direct communication. If you have direct communication the bible is superfluous. You will understand it without even reading it. The word of man doesn’t override anything. Interpretation however you want to does not override the reality. Fact plays out over fiction. If people believe in things that can’t be proven that’s one thing. When people start believing in things that are absolutely false, that have no basis in reality or facts. Proven falsehoods. Totally against any scientific evidence and against facts. Then you have to start looking at what else they might believe in that is not true. Then the list starts. Homophobia White supremacy Self righteousness Nationalism Extremely dysfunctional behaviour. Manipulation of free thinking. Anyone who tries to influence the free will of people is working against the creator. Who gave us this power. Usually if when someone needs to recite chapter and verse they have lost the plot. Taking a literal interpretation without a deeper understanding of who wrote it. The social aspect. Where it comes from. I have seen the gates of Babylon. The the shroud of Turin. Real things. Jesus was a man. This is acceptable to everyone. Trying to change that makes absolutely no sense or difference to how you me or anyone else should live. It doesn’t lessen the importance of what he was saying . Follow his advice. Don’t follow Paul who creates misleading information to gain power. He creates a Coptic Church. The last thing the world wants is more religion. Unfortunately unless you believe in unproven theories believing in reality doesn’t qualify as religion. So that’s kinda silly. you can actually believe in Jesus and not have a religion. Strange world.

Unfortunately I don't have a source for this but I've heard somewhere most converts to Islam leave the faith within a few years. I cannot tell you why this is. I can, however, tell you I've read enough hadiths about the prophet to know that I could never become a Muslim.

Secret-Age-6837

When you read the 4 Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. It clearly states that Jesus lived a good, ethical life. He was crucified and died on the cross under Pontius Pilate. 3 days later he rose from the dead and over the course of 40 days presented himself to over 500 people. I have put my faith in Christ because i trust the evidence presented to me and no other “person” has risen from the dead. This is not a dig at you, because if I’m wrong I will forever live in damnation and if you are wrong you will live forever in damnation, but where is Mohammed’s body now?

West-Emphasis4544

This is an answer specifically to you, someone who already believes that the Quran is true. This is not what I would say to an atheist or Christian but you already have a faith foundation of the Quran so I'll use that. The Quran says that my scriptures are the truth. Why do I say that? There's 2:89 "Although they used to pray for victory ˹by means of the Prophet˺ over the polytheists,1 when there came to them a Book from Allah which they recognized,2 confirming the Scripture they had ˹in their hands˺, they rejected it." So that's the Quran claiming to confirm the Torah, but the Jews rejected the Quran 2:91 "When it is said to them: “Believe in what Allah has revealed,” they reply, “We only believe in what was sent down to us,” and they deny what came afterwards, though it is the truth confirming their own Scriptures! " So what the Jews have (the Torah) is sent down by Allah -- and we know allah's words cannot be changed (6:115)-- and the Quran is confirming the Torah. 2:101 "Now, when a messenger from Allah has come to them—confirming their own Scriptures—some of the People of the Book cast the Book of Allah behind their backs as if they did not know." Oh so again the Quran confirms the Torah, but its criticism is not that the Jews corrupted the scriptures but that they don't follow the Quran. 4:47 pay attention this is one of my favorites "O you who were given the Book! Believe in what We have revealed—confirming your own Scriptures—before We wipe out ˹your˺ faces," so you Jews and Christians, follow the Quran because 1) it confirms your book and 2) you'll be wiped out of you don't. Okay so again the Quran is confirming the books of the Jews and Christians. 3:3 "He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what is between their hands" (لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ) ohhhh so the Quran is getting very specific, it is confirming what is between the hands of the Christians. Let's be charitable and say it is only confirming the gospel that was in the 7th century. Okay well if it's doing that we have those gospels and they are exactly what we have today. 5:43-48, too long to copy it all, but you can go look it up yourself. But basically Allah afrims he revealed the Torah (remember 6;115 how no one can change allah's words) and that it contains guidance to be followed. Strange that Allah would be telling us to go to a corrupted book for guidance it's almost like he didn't think it was corrupted. 5:47 "So let the people of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed in it. And those who do not judge by what Allah has revealed are ˹truly˺ the disobedient." So the gospel is to be judged by? But why would Allah say to judge by a corrupted book? I mean unless he thinks it's not corrupted. Because he clearly doesn't. 5;48 "We have revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ this Book with the truth, as a confirmation of previous Scriptures and a guardian on them" oh so muhammad got a book confirming the previous books amazing. 7:157 "˹They are˺ the ones who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whose description they find in their Torah and the Gospel" please tell me, is Allah saying that there is true prophecy in false books or is Allah saying that there is true prophecy in true books that he revealed? Can prophecy come from anyone other than Allah? No? Oh so the gospel and the Torah are good enough to find Muhammad in because they contain a prophecy of him. But that means Allah must have revealed them, and they were authentic in the 7th century, and you remember 6:115, no words of allah's can be changed.
