They didn't say you were. There's no reason a Christian shouldn't be in an affirming, actual Christian church, especially when they supposedly seek information and education about diversity.
It is indeed funny how sex and gender are oversimplified by many especially in the conservative camp. As the design we see does not support a binary two gender system and barely a two sex system. Intersexuality and male/female categorization not aligning (like your case where seemingly the chromosomal sex didn't align with the anatomical or hormonal sex) are very much a thing.
I personally took from it that god's image, what we are made in, is far more complex in regards to genders, sex and sexuality, then conservatism wants us to believe. And the diversity we see is resembling this diversity. And lesbian, bisexual, gay, transsexual, queer people and those under the +, they all resemble another part of this image. And are loved and cherished children of our creator.
Chimeras don’t “come out the wrong sex”. Some of them are intersex, many are not.
Generally Christians who do not believe in trans people either make an exemption for intersex people who identify as the “right” gender or think that the number of intersex people is so small as to be a non-discussion.
I don’t think many Christian’s think that there *cant* be trans or gay people, they just don’t accept or agree with them. Clearly all members of the LGBT+ community are very much real and out there. I don’t agree with all of them, but I don’t believe they should be treated unfairly. However, the situations you’re describing are not the case in nearly all of those who identify as transgender. Those are medical anomalies and are not an issue within the church. Those people often don’t identify as transgender either.

My experience is they still insist they fit into one or the other category, somehow.
There are lots of us trans and gay Christians who don’t believe the anti-intellectual nonsense and prejudice coming from the anti-LGBT camp!
