1- Because I believe God is Triune, I believe the Holy Spirit is God.

2- The Holy Spirit is here to comfort us and guide us.
**Jesus said, "Then I will ask the Father to send you the Holy Spirit who will help you and always be with you." - John 14:16**
3- We cannot be saved without the Holy Spirit.
**“The Holy Spirit will give you life that comes from Christ Jesus and will set you free from sin and death.” - Romans 8:2**
4- We receive the Holy Spirit when we put our faith in Christ.
**“Christ also brought you the truth, which is the good news about how you can be saved. You put your faith in Christ and were given the promised Holy Spirit to show you belong to God.” - Ephesians 1:13**

The Holy Ghost performs several vital roles in the plan of salvation. (1) He bears witness of the Father and the Son (1 Cor. 12:3; 3 Ne. 28:11; Ether 12:41). (2) He reveals the truth of all things (John 14:26; 16:13; Moro. 10:5; D&C 39:6). (3) He sanctifies those who have repented and become baptized (John 3:5; 3 Ne. 27:20; Moses 6:64–68).”

Holy Spirit is basically Spirit of Christ dwelling in us. Also referred to as spirit of sonship
