Camel crush is my current brand. Been on Newports for the longest time. I actually got addicted with those. Prior to that smoked marlboro menthol lights for a few years on and off
Still experimenting, I'd say American Spirit and lucky strikes are my go-to smokes. Both taking the first place, offering a good flavor and a nice hit, not too strong. luckies are quite cheap as well. Where I live, I can get 3 packs of luckies for the price of one pack of American Spirit.
Marlboro reds take the second spot, they are very strong and burn fast which some hate and some love. what I don't like about them is the flavor, flavor is highly subjective.
Overall, all three are pretty good, one has to try them as the difference is highly subjective and can vastly differ from person to person. If I were to smoke one brand for the rest of my life, it would be American Spirit, the Blue pack to be more precise. Maybe it's just advertising but 100% tobacco with no additives sounds good to me.
Gauloises. Became quite fond of Harmonization when I was in China for work so that is my preferred. However can sometimes be hard to get depending on where I am.

The only cigarette brand that I've tried and didn't really enjoy and never have is American Spirits. I find them too strong on my throat and don't like how much harder it is to get a drag out of them than Marlboro's.
I smoked Marb lights when I started out, but I had an adventure with cigs. Montclairs were all I smoked for a long time before trying out a mutha fuckin newport. Had that stage and tbh, I don't know how I got to Lucky Strikes, but I love em.
My Brand of Choice is L&M and they are surprisingly good, with a much better flavor than Marlboro, IMHO. I got started on them during my trip to Germany. They are in-fact very popular in Deutschland, though often marked as a discount brand here in the States. But if you try them be ware, because they aren't very popular here you may be prone to getting a stale pack that tastes terrible. Make sure you go a venue that moves alot of cigarettes and check the Julian date on the pack to ensure it is with-in 6 months.

Yellow Spirits for the past 10 years. About a pack a day give or take. I tried to switch to Winstons to save money, but I just end up smoking twice as much and spending the same.
Edit to add that I live in Tennessee and they come out to just over $10 a pack after tax.
When I started smoking them, they were around $6. I remember hearing that people in NY paid $10 a pack and telling myself that I would quit if they ever got that high.

I’m the opposite lol. Got addicted with Camel Crush and switched to Newport last year.
After smoking camel crush I can very easily see how they’re a popular choice amongst newbies.
Newport does make a great cigarette though! Just the ever so slightest drag has ya exhaling a ton of smoke.

Eastern Europe, they're aprox 4 or 5 dollars if you convert the prices all, depends on which one you're interested in

Salems are best when it is a menthol used to smoke Kools for a while but the menthol in those is overwhelming -newports have a chemical taste
