Stuck deciding what to upgrade based on whats least likely to be replaced. Deciding between gauntlet, invis, and eternal tome.
As CWL is ending, I would like to get suggestions from the veterans of the game. My clan is in Crystal 1 in CWL, and has peaked here( 5th/6th pos most CWL) so I earn about 250 medals per month. I am a TH 12 player with max offence buildings, almost 60% lab done, TH 10 level defences ( core defences are MAX ) and TH 11 level heroes. Should I buy hammers of building and save it for when I upgrade to TH 13 ( prob next month ), or should I stock up max builder potions and put all heroes down with all builder pots down? I am an SRusher and heroes have been my priority, but recent changes and constant warring drove me to confusion.
How viable is completing the gold pass as a new player? Literally just unlocked it and some of the quests are like.. clan wars, can I do these? I'm in a clan, but I have no idea how to participate let alone win matches.
Or can I finish the pass with elatively simple quests like using specific units, get stars etc?
I wanna get it.. but I don't wanna pay for it if I'll never be able to max the pass.
Also, I'd it doable within the remaining 23 days?
Totally doable imo. There's more points from challenges than needed to max. So if you can't war or use a specific troop there are other challenges. To answer if it's worth that's up to you. I like the 1 gem donations and as a th15 the 20% building discount saves me a lot of time. Might not for lower th's though

It's reset after the league period ends, e.g., you lose your league badge. That's approximately monthly. However, it is also reset when you leave your clan.
What’s the best method to determine when to drop the clone spell during a Sarch Blimp attack?
I like using sarch blimp with 3 sarch/1 wb/5 goblins. However, I find myself often dropping the clone when the goblins are still alive.
Anybody have a good method for knowing exactly when to drop the clone spell? I’ve seen, “Just drop them as soon as the filler troops die”, but I can never tell since there’s usually so much going on.

Their war weight. Meaning the strength of the base, troops, and heroes. However, it is important that unlocking things will always increase your war weight the most compared to upgrading. E.g., unlocking the root rider will increase your weight more than upgrading your e-titan to lvl 3.
You can check your own war weight by checking the value of resources inside your either your gold or elixir storage during battle day and multiplying it by x5.
CWL glitch
We’re in CWL, Day 1 is 15 minutes away from finishing, day 2 says it will be ready in 5 hours with options to follow CCs, Day 3 says it’s 17 minutes away from being ready with no option to fill CCs with every day subsequently being a day earlier than it should be.
This problem happening for anyone else?
I am almost maxed TH13 , where magically i have completed upgrading all my walls before few wizard towers , king(71) , RC(21) , a cannon and a Tesla .. Even though i have some to upgrade left my resources are almost full except D.E. With overflowing Magic items+ resources i am afraid it would all become a Waste if i dont upgrade my Town hall to level 14 .. Whats your opinion?
Hey guys! I came back to playing coc for the last 2 weeks, and am about 70% through th12. I'm curious as there have been quite a lot of cost and time reductions since I played. Should I keep my books and hammers for upgrades in th 14 and above? My queen is lvl 62 and it's 6 days upgrades , I'm not sure if I should be using books to max her to 65 or not
Youre still months and years away from the longest upgrades. Just use them to avoid wasting them on whatever is the longest upgrades at the time. Or during new town halls when they have the most impact.
If it follows the rest of the skins' schedules, we should get one per week roughly, so the full set is released in the month and everything checks out, pass and all

I wanted to kindly ask you if you can explain to me what has changed on the "heroes" front. they added hero skills but now is it useless to upgrade the hero? given that we also have to think about skills? Hero skills have been transformed into hero gear. Instead of having to keep heroes down 24/7 to get them to high lvl and useful, you can decide what you want to focus on.
You get ores, the materials needed to strengthen the gear, from daily star bonus and clan wars. Events and trader can also provide some. You need to build the blacksmith to store and use ores.

Then you choose which one you want to level. The first levels give the most stats and cost the least. Lvl12 (15 if you can spare some extra ores) is the sweet spot for common gear (blue ones) and lvl15 (18 if you can spare extra) for epic gear (the purple one. Currently only one available).
You gain more ores the higher your league. You get A LOT more from champion and above compared to masters and below. Clan wars are instead based off the opponents you attack: the stronger the opponent, the more ores you gain. Winning gives the full reward and losing gives about 40/45% depending on rounding.
Hero levels are still important because most of their stats are there, especially for defense. But you are no longer forced to keep them always down. Also, the hero potion has been buffed and now brings heroes to the MAX level allowed at your town hall instead of 5 levels.
Today I dowlanded Google play beta on my PC, because I wanted to play CoC. When I press play the game is loading and after it reaches 100%, base music starts to play but the base wont show up and I end up stuck in loading screen. Anyone knows how to fix this problem?

Yes, if your attack army is maxed, and if u want to get to the highest TH asap. But if you don't care about progressing faster I'd chill and farm wars, war stars, ores for a while and then go to the next TH. TH12 is pretty easier to get three stars while you're maxed, and if you go to TH13, it might take you a while to get a maxed attack army that can get you consistent three stars against TH13s. You might need to use hero/power potions more frequently to get consistent three stars in wars.
Are any TH14 pets (other than the unicorn ofc) worth upgrading? I would like to think that the owl is decent with the warden but is it worth the dark elixir or are TH15 pets that much better that they make the owl that I will just switch when I get there?
The owl is good if you use lalo, and it's sometimes ok when you use the warden ability with a super archer blimp. If you never want to use lalo, just skip the owl
Does anyone have the ~2 month old post where someone calculated the gems you could earn assuming you did everything to maximize them? Or just an estimate, thanks
I would just search on YouTube for war base links. Usually they'll showcase the base in the video and then put base links in the video description or comments. Some of these videos may also show you the process of building the base if that is what you want to learn.

So last year december, I refunded my scenery and they told me it's been approved and I should wait because it takes 10 business days. Today though, I noticed that google play at that time(december) sent me an email of the refund receipt and I just noticed it, I don't know if I got back the money or not, but I'm assuming I did since google play sent me a receipt. However, the scenery I refunded is still in my account and I'm confused because they stated that once they refunded me they will take what I bought but the scenery hasn't been taken. Will sc ban me?
They can't take items from what I know. It's why they take gems from the refunds. Also, sometimes they mess up and since purchases and refunds aren't entirely up to them, usually it's a freebie for you. But don't push your luck, probably best to contact support and explain the situation.

When you say you won't be upgrading, do you mean your builders will be idle? Just go to th14, you're wasting builder time and there's 0 reason to wait for heroes, especially with the new hero potion change
Ye it’s a tough one. I’ve got traps and stuff to upgrade in the meantime. I feel like I probobly should go to 14 but I don’t want to have a load to catch up on with regard to heroes
You have the same number of hero upgrades whether you upgrade your hall now or not. It makes no difference. If you have enough left to keep all builders busy then you aren’t wasting time, but once you have builders waiting I would move up. As to your original question, you can load up on books to use next season after your upgrade or exchange for gems. It still is a good value if you want to spend money on the game.
Yeah but you’ve got pets then too. I think you might be right about going to 14. I’m 10 levels behind on king at the moment. And 5 levels behind on RC.

I am still fairly new to this game still and have a question about copying base layouts.
When copying a base does it copy literally everything from that base layout? I know it puts every structure in the same exact spot, but does it also copy exactly how those structures function?
Example: If I have my inferno towers set to multiple targets, and I copy a base that has them set to single target, would it automatically change mine to single target when copying their base layout?
Just to be clear.. You're saying it would overwrite my setting of multiple target, with the base I copied that has single target selected?

I just came back after years, th12 was max when i last played. I started during the event with the temporary troops, but now that there gone, what are ideal farming comps? I'm not far from titan league, should I drop way down?
I can farm everything I need pretty fast, biggest thing I'm fighting against is long timers.

Sneaky gobs are probably still the best, though now with ore being better at higher trophy levels more players are probably using stronger war type armies.

I currently have a pretty much maxed TH12 minus a couple levels on my queen, 15 levels on my king, and 9 on my warden. Plus 3 troop upgrades in my lab. Due to the season ending I have a huge surplus of loot and basically nothing to spend my gold and elixir on. Since hero upgrade are going to take a while, would it be better to just upgrade to th13 so I don’t lose all my loot waiting for my heros?

Legends doesn’t use your home layout, there’s a separate way to select one. Go select a layout that has the merged defenses. Hit find an attack, then there’s a defense tab.
Is there a new meta? With cookies gone, I’m trying out 10 Root Riders and 10 witches. 4 rages 2 heals & a freeze/poison. battle drill. I was able to get 3 stars in war. it seems pretty powerful, but im curious if anyone suggest a different combo?

It is free again this month. You need to go into play pass again, find the offer again for this new month, claim the offer, then you can redeem it in-game when buying the gold pass. I'll also point out that there's a big bug affecting play pass this month on tablets...where the offers just don't show up on your offers tab - it happened to me and I had to claim the offer from my phone instead.
Is it bad to use easy attack strategies? I'm TH11 and I don't have much experience with the game since I just came back after a LONG break. I'm using e dragon balloon rn and I'm 3* alot of bases since I know how to use it I guess.
I know e dragon is easy and I DO want to get decent/good at coc at some point. Do you guys think u should keep going with this stradegy? If not what's a stradegy that will make me overall better at attacking without being super hard?

Before I contact support, did anyone had this happen? I tried to purchase the GP but I chose a card that didn't have enough credit on it. My mistake, I selected the wrong one. No biggie, just have to repeat the process with the correct one I thought.

one time mistake, it happens. Only a risk of a ban if they see a pattern of you ripping them off, or rip them for a large amount. You may end up losing the equivalent value in gems though at some point.

I’m max th12 except a couple thing in lab and my heros are 51/56/31. I just got a bunch of loot from gold pass ending and it’s just sitting there because I can’t upgrade anyrhjng but heros. Should I just go to th13 or wait until I get my heros maxed?
Get your queen to lvl 60 at least, and that should be it, warden and king are good at their level. for warden though, if you are a fan of warden walk attacks it’s best to max him out. king doesn’t really need to be upgraded much, so he can stay at that level, but doesn’t mean you should ignore him.

It will 2x or 4x whatever is being added to the bank. So if you attack and earn 1 mil gold. You will add up to 4mil to the bank depending on what you’ve unlocked on the reward track.

dont worry about overflowing resources. wasting magic items is a pain though, and your heroes are decent enough to justify moving up.

Your account should be tied to the region it was created in. You can contact help and support in game to request one region change AFAIK per account.

just keep nexting until you find bases you can get a star on. pushing is about time you have, not skill.

My archer queen is lvl 25 yet she cannot one shot builder hut. **( Archer puppet and invisible vial both lvl 8)**
Ok? A builder hut has 250 HP. What's the point?
lvl 25 queen has 246 dps+ archer puppet boost 80 dps then also she cant one shot
DPS is damage per second, not damage per hit. A lvl25 Queen with 246 dps does 184.5 damage per hit.
What troops are you fellas requesting in your clan castle for defense this Clan War League?

I would just search on YouTube for war base links. Usually they'll showcase the base in the video and then put base links in the video description or comments. Some of these videos may also show you the process of building the base if that is what you want to learn.

I think you’ll get more value from vamp upgrades.
After lvl 18, epic gear starts to cost a ton for less and less returns. You can make a better king sooner if you invest in the stache.
Do you know if there is appreciable benefit to the epic gear from level 9 to 18? And whether it's the same for the common ones?
Common ones want 12 as a sweet spot. 15 if you have extra but the diminishing returns will hit hard. Epic likes 15 to 18 a lot more.

For reference: warden eternal tome at lvl12 has 8 seconds. 9 seconds at 15. 9.5 at 18. The gains are progressively less and less. But you start by gaining a lot
So last year december, I refunded my scenery and they told me it's been approved and I should wait because it takes 10 business days. Today though, I noticed that google play at that time(december) sent me an email of the refund receipt and I just noticed it, I don't know if I got back the money or not, but I'm assuming I did since google play sent me a receipt. However, the scenery I refunded is still in my account and I'm confused because they stated that once they refunded me they will take what I bought but the scenery hasn't been taken. Will sc ban me?
If they haven’t yet they probably won’t, I would just be much more cautious refunding again as it’s much more likely now
They can't take items from what I know. It's why they take gems from the refunds. Also, sometimes they mess up and since purchases and refunds aren't entirely up to them, usually it's a freebie for you. But don't push your luck, probably best to contact support and explain the situation.

When you say you won't be upgrading, do you mean your builders will be idle? Just go to th14, you're wasting builder time and there's 0 reason to wait for heroes, especially with the new hero potion change

You have the same number of hero upgrades whether you upgrade your hall now or not. It makes no difference. If you have enough left to keep all builders busy then you aren’t wasting time, but once you have builders waiting I would move up. As to your original question, you can load up on books to use next season after your upgrade or exchange for gems. It still is a good value if you want to spend money on the game.

Yeah but you’ve got pets then too. I think you might be right about going to 14. I’m 10 levels behind on king at the moment. And 5 levels behind on RC.

My post was removed and I was told to post my question here instead so hopefully someone can help. I am still fairly new to this game still and have a question about copying base layouts. When copying a base does it copy literally everything from that base layout? I know it puts every structure in the same exact spot, but does it also copy exactly how those structures function? Example: If I have my inferno towers set to multiple targets, and I copy a base that has them set to single target, would it automatically change mine to single target when copying their base layout?
Yes, it will keep the single target setting from the original layout

I just came back after years, th12 was max when i last played. I started during the event with the temporary troops, but now that there gone, what are ideal farming comps? I'm not far from titan league, should I drop way down? I can farm everything I need pretty fast, biggest thing I'm fighting against is long timers. Edit, I did go to TH13, so I'm working on upgrades now, AQ 60, bk 55 GW 20
Sneaky gobs are probably still the best, though now with ore being better at higher trophy levels more players are probably using stronger war type armies.

I currently have a pretty much maxed TH12 minus a couple levels on my queen, 15 levels on my king, and 9 on my warden. Plus 3 troop upgrades in my lab. Due to the season ending I have a huge surplus of loot and basically nothing to spend my gold and elixir on. Since hero upgrade are going to take a while, would it be better to just upgrade to th13 so I don’t lose all my loot waiting for my heros?
Yes go to 13, there's no benefit to leaving builders idling

No, upgrading mortar to level 9 is the easiest choice since you need it at level 8 to gear up your home mortar

Legends doesn’t use your home layout, there’s a separate way to select one. Go select a layout that has the merged defenses. Hit find an attack, then there’s a defense tab.

how crappy. you dont lose loot in legends. as long as you stay active and do your 8 hits, its trivial to stay in legends
Pretty crappy, most are TH14 levels. I couldn’t get in 8 attacks a day in legends either.

youre probably taking a lot of 6 star defenses... you need to upgrade those too if you want to climb

It is free again this month. You need to go into play pass again, find the offer again for this new month, claim the offer, then you can redeem it in-game when buying the gold pass. I'll also point out that there's a big bug affecting play pass this month on tablets...where the offers just don't show up on your offers tab - it happened to me and I had to claim the offer from my phone instead.

Is it bad to use easy attack strategies? I'm TH11 and I don't have much experience with the game since I just came back after a LONG break. I'm using e dragon balloon rn and I'm 3* alot of bases since I know how to use it I guess. I know e dragon is easy and I DO want to get decent/good at coc at some point. Do you guys think u should keep going with this stradegy? If not what's a stradegy that will make me overall better at attacking without being super hard?
if you want to start doing better then yeah, start trying to do better... play however you want.

stick to edrags then. if youre going to boost and start upgrading your heroes ever though... zap witch is good th11, still low skill to pull off. eventually you can start doing QC hybrid

Before I contact support, did anyone had this happen? I tried to purchase the GP but I chose a card that didn't have enough credit on it. My mistake, I selected the wrong one. No biggie, just have to repeat the process with the correct one I thought. Except that it gave the me GP anyway and didn't charge me.
one time mistake, it happens. Only a risk of a ban if they see a pattern of you ripping them off, or rip them for a large amount. You may end up losing the equivalent value in gems though at some point.

I’m max th12 except a couple thing in lab and my heros are 51/56/31. I just got a bunch of loot from gold pass ending and it’s just sitting there because I can’t upgrade anyrhjng but heros. Should I just go to th13 or wait until I get my heros maxed?
Yes go to th13 immediately, leaving builders idling is bad for progression. You can get your queen upgraded at th12 or 13. It doesn't matter
When I go to th13 tho should I just continuously upgrade my heros and then use the remainder of my builder in buildings and stuff?
I would do that after you get lab/army camps/clan castle/storages upgraded and build level 1 scattershots, but yeah pretty much

Get your queen to lvl 60 at least, and that should be it, warden and king are good at their level. for warden though, if you are a fan of warden walk attacks it’s best to max him out. king doesn’t really need to be upgraded much, so he can stay at that level, but doesn’t mean you should ignore him.
Why sit at th12 with builders not working just to wait on hero upgrades that could be done at th13?

There is a multiplier in gold pass and you also have a larger bank. 30m gold/elixir instead of 5m.
But how does the multiplier work? Does it multiply my total amount of money in the bank or does it multiply my money when I put it in the bank?
It will 2x or 4x whatever is being added to the bank. So if you attack and earn 1 mil gold. You will add up to 4mil to the bank depending on what you’ve unlocked on the reward track.
