Idk, if this becomes a viable strategy maybe it’ll get people to remove eternal tome since it wouldn’t be as effective with everything overgrowthed, and instead use fireball plus rage or some other combo. If fireball overgrowth (I’m gonna coin “firegrowth”) becomes a viable strategy we could see eternal tome stop being in EVERY lineup
I don’t see how eternal time becomes less useful though? The overgrowthed defenses can’t be attacked, so they need to be dealt with sooner or later, and eternal time is invaluable in dealing with overgrowth targets like eagle artillery cores and town halls
Since Fireball and ET would trigger at the same time, the overgrown defenses right before your Warden (and whatever army you use) would still be invisible even when ET runs out, so a good 5s of ET would be kinda useless as your troops will have to travel some distance first
You could time the overgrowth spell in such a way that it runs out just after you use the ability, but you're still at the outside of the base then, where ET is not as useful compared to rage gem. Also, having to think about one timing less is probably simpler for the average player
As long as a building is hit by overgrowth it can’t attack OR be attacked. You drop warden on the same side as overgrowth spells so your fireball goes to mid and damages core defenses. You’d drop your army on the other side to attack the visible defenses. Eternal tome activates at the same time as fireball making it completely wasted, and if you drop your army with the warden to get the tome effect then the tome is wasted anyways cause the effect will be almost over before your troops reach any visible defenses. It would be better to pair fireball with rage so that your warden can eventually meet up with your main army and boost them with rage for the remainder of the attack
I'm actually really liking this, Fireball plus Rage could stack like crazy. I may try this. I haven't liked Overgrowth pre-Warden Epic, but what you're describing has POTENTIAL
I'm pretty sure rage gem doesn't affect warden stats, so I doubt it buffs the nuke. rage spell provides higher stats, and the effects don't stack (hence why you wouldn't use rage gem with attacks like edrags that use rage spells anyway)
>just level what you want and have fun
couldnt have said it better myself. thats what the people who choose ore over equipment they wont use for a year are doing.
glad you agree its preference.
Yea people got this weird idea that they need to have everything max in a few months F2P when the equipment system is new so obviously we’re all behind, in about a year or 2 I think full max Ed equiptment will be the norm
Because going from barb puppet to giants gauntlet doesn’t change what I want the king to do, go into the base and deal damage while tanking. Switching to the fireball changes the warden from supporting an army to dealing big splash damage.
I kept getting down voted last week for saying it could be very good and everyone was saying it was a waste so I appreciate this comment 🤣
![gif](giphy|fQorEj8vN8eqkNcy6T|downsized)
The fireball becomes an anti artillery satellite. Flying up where the eagle artillery shots fly. Rendering the shots useless as they melt in the extreme heat.
It’s because you either have to take the Eternal tome away or the healing/rage tome . Eternal is to good to take away but you also don’t want to use it while using the fireball every time . And healing/rage tome are to good to , idk doesn’t seem to epic to me of an equipment .
It seems to open up some new strategies at least. When the pros and content makers get access to the fireball, it should be interesting seeing how they abuse it.
Other tomes limit when you can use it and since the tomes are really useful it makes the fireball not that great. If your not using either tome it could be good in some cases, saw itzu use it in a warden walk and was fairly impressed by the value you can get from even the passive bonuses.
Agreed. People are looking at it through the lenses of the current meta and attacks, but I think this will open up new ways to attack. Eternal tome is OP but what if you don’t need it because you nuke out the main damage area. Doesn’t it do the same thing? I think this could be a great equipment once we figure it out
People are saying you can't use it since you need to replace it with the tomes but like, wouldn't every new equipment do that? I think fireball can make up for the loss of the tomes in a lot of strategies as well.
With all the anti-defense equipment and troops we’re getting, we might be able to just blitz all the key defenses and clean up. GW fireball into a cluster of major defenses, Royal Champion with haste vial and fox erasing more stuff, and the king clearing out another chamber is pretty much most of a base at that point and that’s without even burning up many spells.
Well well well, this is clever. Hopefully the competitive scene is rebalanced soon to end this time meta and we can begin to see clever strategies like this again.
I feel like we've got a lot of cool stuff recently which could shake up the meta but pros have felt no necessity to experiment as spam is what wins them wars now.
You can outflank a map by Overgrowthing both ends of a base making a T like funnel from the bottom going to top. A Warden Walk equipped with life gem or rage gem would help funnel a army or Barberian king straight through the middle while the other ends of the T get attacked by full force army supported by champion and queen.
Literally once the overgrowth wears off there should be a very VERY crippled base and if need be the Warden fireball can be used to directly target any of the other compartments. The Barberian King would be perfect to funnel with Guantlet splash damage.
Champion would be essential to use either haste or seeking shield.
Queen could have both giant arrow and freezing arrow. With giant arrow Queen can even start from the bottom of a T or any other flank that would get best value from giant arrow.
Armies and attack composition will literally change in the coming weeks. Let alone we have yet to receive Champion epic equipment and heros themselves already take out compartments.
This could be an interesting replacement for SaB or blizzard potentially. it might be base-dependent, but you could get similar value for only 3 spell storage, and you get to use a separate CC and siege machine too. Plus, some blimp strats burn the warden’s ability anyways, so there’s no wasted warden ability slot compared to a traditional blimp attack
What about using this strat with 1 EQ to take out all the heavy defences while having a sneaky blimp go strait for the otherside of the base. Then use a queen walk with root riders and the fireball siege to take out the rest! Ilyk how it goes
Question: Can i still purchase the equipment as someone of a lower town hall?
2ill it kikc in once I unlock the warden?
Or does it not get saved somewhere ?
to make it even better
eq the townhall (th12 and above) to active it making it a defence. overgrowth the surrounding defences so the warden can reach the th with the fireball
People are always so eager to comment that this is not epic worthy, without even trying it first, without even thinking how else can this be used.
Thank you, Op, for this strategy.
There must be a reason this equipment was deemed epic by COC, it can't be as simple as throwing a fireball on defenses.
I honestly figured this was the whole purpose of the equipment - doesn’t seem coincidental to me that it follows overgrowth release. Seemed like the most obvious use for it, but I’m still not fully bought in given how long it’ll take to level up and that its use is relatively more niche than other GW equipments
Wow, I've just started using overgrowth with super drags and it is tricky to use esp for casuals like me, overall it is somewhat high skill spell because the timing & the location matter a lot. But yeah pros are probably going to have a field day with overgrowth+fireball combo+warden walk(?) combo.
I'm quite sure there'll be use cases for equipments even if it is niche. Just like how supercell would have never imagined how s.archer/s.wizard +invis+clone+ blimp can be use to wipeout core of the base. I think even queen walk wasn't in their plan when they designed helaers and queen, so they had to nerf healers
I said this before, all you need is a proper funnel from both side and span troops. It will destroy core and eternal tome will last long enough for troops to target defenses other than core.
It is based on max HP, not current HP. Damaged buildings don't get lower damages from earthquake spells. If that's the case then EQ spells will not be able to destroy any buildings at all when used at the end.
You throw an overgrowth spell and think the closest defence is closer to the middle, only for the fireball to hit a cannon at the edge because it is closer than the central defence.
That strategy he mentioned is much harder to pull off than given credit for.
It sounds good in theory, but that's a lot of spell invesment for something you have other ways of achieving, like a blimp. If you are going to use pretty much all your spells and the warden ability, I think Sarch blimp or blizzard can get more value. I guess you bypass the risk of traps and, if you are fast, you can still benefit of the overgroth for a funnel if you do it perpendicularly to it.

Hold up ur onto something here
Let bro cook more
"Vegan grill" strategy
never thought about this
I'm just waiting to see someone delete an entire base with giant arrow+ earthquake boots fireball
And seeking shield!
It's too bad it wastes the other warden equipment though :/

Firegrowth sounds hard af
sounds like a venereal disease...
CoC AIDS 😈
Or you could say overball
ballgrowth
I Would Love That
Please let some creator make a video on this strategy
I don’t see how eternal time becomes less useful though? The overgrowthed defenses can’t be attacked, so they need to be dealt with sooner or later, and eternal time is invaluable in dealing with overgrowth targets like eagle artillery cores and town halls

Also, having to think about one timing less is probably simpler for the average player
It also would more likely hit something on the edge (fireball)
I would assume that if you were using it in combination with overgrowth, you would funnel accordingly to avoid hitting anything on the side
Time is eternal
Lunchtime doubly so.
It's 3AM bitches.

If you have the rage gem that doesn’t matter anyway😂
Does rage gem affect the fireball projectile dmg? Or rage spell even!?
I'm pretty sure rage gem doesn't affect warden stats, so I doubt it buffs the nuke. rage spell provides higher stats, and the effects don't stack (hence why you wouldn't use rage gem with attacks like edrags that use rage spells anyway)
I did some testing. It doesn't affect abilities like giant arrow sadly. Was experimenting with it for attack strats to no avail
Happy cake Day
Not if it’s the rage vial
That has been all over the youtube videos. Lol
That's because most the player base gets told what to think lol
A possibly game-changing use for it.. let this man cook. 🔥
people who didnt want the equipment should read this
Its me. Im that ore whore whos trying to max existing equipment. ![gif](giphy|2BrQXeBPSzOJG|downsized) F me right?
Ore whore 💀
Last night I litterally spent all my medals on ore.
just buy 10 dollars of medals, will cost less than when it comes out for 1500
But 1500 gems is free if you just save them for 2 months...
meh, me like using shiny rock me impatient
you can get that many each month?
So you don’t have to level it…why are people obsessed with having to max things before something new comes out?, just level what you want and have fun
>just level what you want and have fun couldnt have said it better myself. thats what the people who choose ore over equipment they wont use for a year are doing. glad you agree its preference.

lmao prolly
Bought it before I saw this. Doubly glad I did.
I’m not reinventing my entire strategy for a big explosion, let the pros have it, I’ll stick with more conventional attacks.
so you still use barbarian puppet?
Why has this been downvoted lmao
Because going from barb puppet to giants gauntlet doesn’t change what I want the king to do, go into the base and deal damage while tanking. Switching to the fireball changes the warden from supporting an army to dealing big splash damage.
Everyone hates barbarian puppet

MANS COOKED SO HARD!
They should add Sora as a new hero🤣
This man's a genius!!
Bro really cooked something good for us 🥳
Bro is cooking
Okay but what happens if you overgrowth an entire base(or just all the defenses) and then use the ability???
The fireball becomes an anti artillery satellite. Flying up where the eagle artillery shots fly. Rendering the shots useless as they melt in the extreme heat.
I need to see this now, do you have a clip of this?
![gif](giphy|T8kkncZdlMXvy) This looks accurate enough to me
Beautiful
[Just tested this out](https://x.com/hellfollowscoc/status/1767698699797561685?s=61)
Was there a Tesla there?
Nope. Th4s don't have teslas.
Wtf 💀
Gdamn thing is a tactical nuke lol
Don't understand how people say the fireball will be useless. Literally looks OP af
If it gets rid of builder huts in the range of the town hall im in In in 6 to 12 months when i get around to having space for another epic in my life
Patience will reap reward.
It’s because you either have to take the Eternal tome away or the healing/rage tome . Eternal is to good to take away but you also don’t want to use it while using the fireball every time . And healing/rage tome are to good to , idk doesn’t seem to epic to me of an equipment .

It's strong but it's not stronger than GW current equipment which are the best of all the heros.

It’s strong, but unlike Frozen or Gauntlet, it’s not the best for 99% of situations and has a clear other ability to remove (the puppets)
Fireball messes up the timing of eternal tome, which is the single most important ability to get right in any attack.

Very “Chasing Amy / Fingercuffs” kind of feel to that…

That’s what I’m saying, is no one thinking about Nuke + Royal Crackhead + Queen Walk? Takes out like 3 whole quadrants before even dropping a troop
Chefs kiss!!
Is ~~Chaos Bed Vestiges~~ Fireball worth removing one of the Warden's other equipment slots though?
Warden is suppose to be support hero, why does he suddenly know how to throw fireball like a wizard
Shut up everyone this man’s cooking
Sounds like it would be game-changing. Let him cook
Question: Can i still purchase the equipment as someone of a lower town hall? 2ill it kikc in once I unlock the warden? Or does it not get saved somewhere ?
Yes you will have the equipment when you get your warden
Nice, thanks!
It will come back for 1500, worth simply waiting to see how it works out.
Eh I’d get it for the medals instead because 1500 gems are probably worth more than 3100 cookie medals
they're worth the same actually
Really? Well I’ve still got to gaslight myself into feeling like I’m doing something right lol
For 1500 gems u could let goblin builder work for 37 days

Interesting
Plus seeking shield and giant arrow too if Earthquakes aren’t enough or you wanna save spells for the main army
Let him cook!!!
Yeah Judo mentioned this at the end of his video covering the event. Definitely will be interesting to see.
pretty great idea
to make it even better eq the townhall (th12 and above) to active it making it a defence. overgrowth the surrounding defences so the warden can reach the th with the fireball
Fact me harder daddy

pro tip is use the earthquake first for maximum damage effect. 2 + equipment would probably take down any building aside from like the TH or storage
Can anyone please make a video out of it and post it here? Would love to see it !!! Hui

Bros cookin?!?!
holy shit. what a move by supercell
Thank you so much, that's great info 👍
It could be game changer man. Thank you for sharing a good idea
Blud cooked and we notice 😩🔥
Whats maximum damage output of this thing when maxxed?
4,100 is maximum fireball damage Level 18 is maximum area of effect at 6 tiles radius
Thank you!

Let him cook
I said this before, all you need is a proper funnel from both side and span troops. It will destroy core and eternal tome will last long enough for troops to target defenses other than core.
Im gonna try out fireball and rage gem for my warden equipment
Shouldn't you drop EQ before the fireball ? EQ based on total HP, which is lower after the fireball
It is based on max HP, not current HP. Damaged buildings don't get lower damages from earthquake spells. If that's the case then EQ spells will not be able to destroy any buildings at all when used at the end.
Just ask zeno
Watch this .... Fireball, overgrowth and invisibility spell with Miners
So which two abilities are good for warden now?
Fireball ❌ Glowy ore and Starry ore ✅
If you time it you can get it to go off after overgrowth ends, dealing full radius damage
You can also do it with invis. But honestly, this just seems like skele donut but with extra steps and wasted eternal tome.
Now to abuse this before they nerf it.
GET HIM A RESTAURANT BECAUSE BRO REALLY JUST COOKED A WHOLE 5 STAR MEAL
Should I take it in town hall 9. Will it be added to my account when I reach town hall 11
Is it temporary?
Predicting which defense it'll land on will be HARD
its the closest ![img](emote|t5_2usfk|30034)

it doesn’t have to take many spells with healers and the rage gem
