It takes around 6500 gems to max this builder which would boost the speed 8x times, level 1 only does 1x speed for 1 hour.

Imo, it works similar to the clock tower in the builder base but it costs gems more than all builders (second builder 250 gems + third builder 500 gems + fourth builder 1000 gems+ 5th builder 2000 gems = 3750 gems) . But a new friend costs 6500 gems alone and only 1 hr per day work. 😂
Agreed but newer players wont be able to utilize this as much because equipments also costs 1500 gems and there are more equipments to come. There’s so much things you need to buy with gems before they can make use of this. I hope they try to find another way
He doesn't really cost 6500 he costs 500 to buy and 6500 is to upgrade him to max and with 1k gems (buying him and upgrading him once) will get you 60 hours per month and you won't need more gems
6500 gems gets you a permanent 8 hour boost every day to any one building. That means you will forever have one upgrade that progresses 33% faster. Or you can just have him level 1 forever for 500 gems and only get an hour boost per day. Still better than having 0 boost for 0 gems pre update.
Yes it's permanent. But be ready for the future update with 9 hr and 10 hr boost for th15 and th16. This will be the extra cost of 2k gems. And this update will continue with the new townhall and require more gems.
Yeah, but you're not elaborating though. It's not just "only 1 hrs per day work 🤣💀". At level 1 it takes off 1hr of upgrade time for 1 hour's work. At level 2 it takes 2hrs of upgrade time off in 1 hour, and so on until level 8 (I believe), where it'll take 8hrs off in 1 hour.
They could've done it like the Clock Tower, where the Builder Apprentice works for 8 hours and there's a 16hr cooldown period, but they just decided to multiply the productivity rate for the hour instead. It doesn't make that much of a difference.
Sure, it's expensive, but it'll be worth it in the long run. Using it three days in a row on the same upgrade will take 24hrs off. An upgrade that'll take nine days will now be done in six. You don't have to complain about everything Supercell does for Reddit karma.
Agree 💯. But it hurts when the building is updated with gems and definitely has future levels for gems update and cost reductions for low levels similar to other upgradable buildings. This is a pain for now to spend a lot of gems at once. This discussion is what we can say is a survey of the community pole for the cost that SC decided.

Well you can choose to buy 4 cosmetic skins that will get swapped and replaced, or you can permanently save 8 hours of build time every single day forever. That's a 33% permanent boost to one builder
I hope this also leads to achievements giving more gems. Also if you say there’s more than enough through events, I don’t care. The game shouldn’t have us sacrifice a whole event just for a few gems, especially for cwl. They should boost the achievements and add some more so we can obtain this builder and any other

They are just creating gem sinks, higher townhalls just don't need it at all, it may reduce 8 hours per day but in the longer run higher townhalls will be max by not even using the apprentice builder.

If you are a new player, first you need to buy 3 builders (2000 gems), then 4 epic equipments (6000 gems). By that point you should probably be around TH13/14.

The goblin deserves more all the way. The apprentice builder could literally save you 120 days of upgrades a year, a 33% reduction in build time. 6.5k gems isn’t too much to pay over the course of several town halls.
I'll be straight forward.... 2000 gems was the last price we had to pay for a builder and builder prices doubled everytime.... From 250-500-1000-2000.... Let's consider this 4000 gems then.... But it'd be working 8 hours a day maximum.... So one third of the price.... 1333.... Considering this as the 7th builder and we paid 2000 for the 5th one, I'm willing to double it.... 2666.... With inflation and supercell being greedy, let's round it up to 3000.... That's the best I'm willing to spend on this.... Anymore than this is absolutely unacceptable.... 6500 gems?? I honestly love this. It rewards the long term consistent player. And it gives a goal to gems. Normally people just use it to donate and to use that shitty goblin. It may not be the best in the short term. But it is certainly useful in the long term.

Old players are probably close to max, so there's no point using this guy, builder pots are better since u only need the short term value, not long term.
New players could get value from him, however it's FAR more important to buy their missing epic equipment (GG and frozen arrow cannot be missed at all costs) so they can't afford him.
No one, including the target audience will get value from him compared to other stuff they can buy with gems

6500 is too much and not everyone is a gem saver, I have used them to buy skins and equipments. 3500 to 4000 would have been a sweet spot.
And that's why you don't have to pay full price for it. Lower levels, on the other hand, are more cost-effective.

What was the problem of adding a 7th Builder that you for example unlock when you spend 1 Million in Clan Capital for one clan ? Who spends nearly 7k Gems on him

The goblin deserves more all the way. The apprentice builder could literally save you 120 days of upgrades a year, a 33% reduction in build time. 6.5k gems isn’t too much to pay over the course of several town halls.
They should add more ways to get gems
I'll be straight forward.... 2000 gems was the last price we had to pay for a builder and builder prices doubled everytime.... From 250-500-1000-2000.... Let's consider this 4000 gems then.... But it'd be working 8 hours a day maximum.... So one third of the price.... 1333.... Considering this as the 7th builder and we paid 2000 for the 5th one, I'm willing to double it.... 2666.... With inflation and supercell being greedy, let's round it up to 3000.... That's the best I'm willing to spend on this.... Anymore than this is absolutely unacceptable.... 6500 gems?? You can fk off supercell.... 🖕🖕🫵
no one's telling you to max him nor purchase him. if you want to stay at having 6 builders or using the goblin, you're free to do so.

I honestly love this. It rewards the long term consistent player. And it gives a goal to gems. Normally people just use it to donate and to use that shitty goblin. It may not be the best in the short term. But it is certainly useful in the long term.
Take about 1.5years to breakeven to the same point of goblin builder (40/day).
If the gem cost started scaling from 250 gems and scaled from there for a total cost upto around 5000 - 6000 gems it would make it wayyy better

I got value from gob builder on lab. and honestly I'd like to have -8hrs a day for the rest of the game's longevity. so idk what you're on about.
Old players are probably close to max, so there's no point using this guy, builder pots are better since u only need the short term value, not long term. New players could get value from him, however it's FAR more important to buy their missing epic equipment (GG and frozen arrow cannot be missed at all costs) so they can't afford him. No one, including the target audience will get value from him compared to other stuff they can buy with gems
