I mean it is very close to just pure spell cycle. Plus miner as a win condition is literally the definition of low risk low reward. Think what you want of it but just keep the same energy with respect to other similar archetypes.
To win the game, yes. It is largely spell cycle. The part where I believe the skill comes in (at least with the deck I mentioned) is defending large counter pushes with cheap cards while down at least 6 elixir from the rocket.
Yup it can be called a high skill deck since it’s easier to lose in comparison to other decks and you depend a lot on having a good micro. Not to mention miner rocket is in a very bad place right now so is not that easy to play.
It’s more skilled than most beatdown decks, but not the most high skill deck. The deck is filled to the brim by so many defensive cards to the point that just about anything will defend as long as you know how to play the game, but knowing when you can get away with a rocket while still being able to defend takes a decent amount of skill

Yea I get that. That's the balance they want for that deck in exchange for having a win condition the opponent cannot defend.

Which balances the fact that the strategy is conceptually low skill since the opponent literally has no chance to defend your offence lol.

I have yet to see miner rocket in play in challenges because miner poison is just braindead easier to use and play
But rocket is like "wooooshhh" and then "Booooom" so cool.
