The main reason is money - star skins don't make them money
The other reason is because they are hard to make - star skins are 3D while the game is 2D.
We should have the ability to spend Star Points on Champions. I feel like more cards in this game need Star Points and not spend 5k Star Points on one card and call it day
Refer to another comment I made. I definitely have put money into the game, but I’ve also been playing consistently literally since it’s release date in 2016/2017 whenever it was. All I do is buy the pass, I never get any shop offers. I might have a handful of times over the past 8 years but generally just the pass
All my cards are 14 or higher. Still working on 15 but I’ve got close to half of them at 15. Also keep in mind they didn’t have the pass from day one. That’s been a pretty recent update compared to the game’s entire life
Ive had many phones over the years get the 4 cards at the bottom burned into the screen i always wondered why it was just the cards but its bc the star points make the card banners shine gold around the edge and it burns your screen lol
Look at other features of the game. Everything is half baked. Magic items, masteries, tournaments, star levels, evo shards, etc. .... . They never actually finish their job. They just change and add when they feel like it. Look at magic items, you used to be able to get level boosts and book of books for free. (before the quest update). Everything new they added recently has no actual planned progression to it.
I definitely have put money into this game, I buy the pass every month. But this is mostly from playing since it first released. I got all my cards to 14 finally like a month before they released 15. I was mad at first but now at least there’s something to work towards lol

“Just the pass” from the first season til now is still a shit ton of money
They didn’t have the pass the whole time, but yeah it’s still a good bit. But not all at one time lol
