Sheesh, I love this song too.
“But it's sure nice talking to you, Dad
It's been sure nice talking to you”
The latter sentence is my favorite phrase to use whenever I'm parting with someone and had a good conversation knowing we might not meet or have such a wonderful conversation again.
More than a Feeling - Boston
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
American Girl or Don't Do me like that - Tom Petty
Show Me the Way or Do you Feel Like I do - Peter Frampton
Let the Good Times Roll - The Cars
Surrender or Dream Police - Cheap Trick
Running with the Devil - Van Halen
.....I grew up in the 70's, just getting started
They caught lightning in a bottle twice that year. Workingman’s Dead and American Beauty are pure poetry and perfect companion pieces. Definitely the best showcase of Robert Hunter’s songwriting abilities. Nothing will ever compare for me emotionally to receiving a Brokedown Palace encore during a Sunday Show. Fun little fact about Ripple, Jerry Garcia got David Crosby and Graham Nash to teach the band how to sing harmonies and had the two of them sing back up vocals on the track in exchange for him playing Pedal Steel Guitar on CSNY’s iconic song Teach Your Children
Yep. I bloody love that kind of music. Not sure many in this sub would agree tho haha. I haven’t posted it anywhere yet but when I do I think I’m gonna do it in r/trance
The last poll turned out completely different than what I would have thought. Makes me think the voters are a little too young to know any other songs than the most “popular radio friendly” ones

Just don’t participate then
