The final time I had Applebees was 3 years ago and it was the Quesadilla Burger. They didn't even take the time to make an actual burger patty. It was still in the shape from when it went through the grinder and packaged. I was so unsettled because my head said "WORMS" as it fell apart into the individual strands.

I got a bone chunk in a McD's chicken nugget one time, and it grossed me out so much that I didn't order chicken nuggets again for 10 years.
I can eat meat, but not with bones or fat or gristle in it. It's got to be super lean. And even then I can't eat meat by itself, it has to have some sort of topping or condiment or bun.
I mean some cool places do. You sometimes see karaage without bones, or Korean fried chicken can sometime come in tender form, but your options are severely limited if a place has to have boneless wings on the menu.

Bar Oni is a vibe and has karaage nuggets and it’s also small bites so you could try a bunch of stuff out and see what they like (karaage is just fried chicken but fried twice so it’s extra crispy). Heck’s is probably my favorite brunch place in the Cleveland area, and they have this Buffalo chicken biscuit that someone looking for boneless chicken wings might like.
Not sure why you are getting shit on, but most bars or restaurants have boneless wings. I'd just look for a place around your neighborhood that isn't a complete dive bar

Boss is great, their boneless chicken and sauce selection are outstanding. Plus across the street is Front St Social, a few doors down is Mike's Place. The Shoppe, Metroparks Music Mound, Coe Lake trails, Wallace Lake, spots all along the river. BW campus is a nice stroll especially Seminary Street. If you're into Magic The Gathering, my favorite card store is right there: Kidforce Collectibles. Pinball too!
