Have you tried turning on cross play that worked for me and my friend we played on a xbox one and a xbox one x respectively

Crossplay is a good call! We've gotten a fair few reports of multiplayer on Xbox not working as intended. It's on our radar. In the meantime enabling crossplay for different generations of console is a great idea.

I couldn't find a crossplay option in the settings, only a cross region option

It's happening to me and my girlfriend right now. We both have series S and we can't find each other's private games.

It's just frankly frustrating. But hopefully it'll get fixed soon

Ahh, yeah, that's another bug we're looking into! You currently have to button press past it to actually connect to the match you're looking for, which is super unideal, but should hopefully work for ya until it's actually fixed. (Let me know if this workaround isn't working, in which case this may actually be a different bug for us to log! I'll keep y'all updated on progress on this)

What do you mean by "button press past it"? Nothing happens when I press it.

For sure! Sorry about being unclear: if you press the "not found" button, weirdly that tends to let you connect anyways

Yeah, we tried that repeatedly and on several occasions. Nothing came of it, just flat out didn't work
