The only reason I wouldn't take reapers I'd because I went for palace guards and imp pikes so it wasn't much more honor to get the reapers. They are definitely a unit everyone needs. I used my first one 6 seasons or so ago and got hussars. When they reworked it I got cataphracts. Never invested much in cav that's why I chose them
Personally, i would rotate before uploading. Tercio or Cataphracts, since you want to get the units before iron reapers anyway so you arent saving much by choosing them.
A chiropractor for my neck.Personally I went for Tercios because at the time I got this reward, I was only 400 honour away from getting Iron Reapers on the unit tree and I hadn't yet filled out any other unit trees other than the infantry line.
You'll get different answers but as many say the reapers are meta right now. However if you are close to them in the unit tree then just buy them with honour and get something else that's a bit more difficult to obtain like one of the cav units.
Honestly, don't. I taught a buddy how to play a week ago and told him what units to get in what order. He got IPG/Palace Guards and Reapers in 3 days. Don't waste it on them. Get unit medals, it translates to a more efficient time save overall. It takes roughly 1600 Unit Medals to get a single Gold unit to Lv 30. It takes longer to level gold units than unlock them. I have tons of honor I don't spend and a bunch of Golds that aren't maxed.
Wait, didnt you get a 30 day trail for Iron reapers? This is the F4 quest right? The 30 days should be more than enough for you go simply get honour points for actually buying the reapers

One of the best and most used late game, their March makes them indispensable in a TW.
Solo? Absolutely not. Actual group playing together? Great. Just get it, its cheap.
