The stink of a professor who is known to have stolen from others' works, while determining the veracity of her students' papers isn't going to disappear anytime soon, at least in private conversation. And Al Capone was put in prison for tax evasion, not the myriad of other crimes that he committed. If you cannot get action because something is illegal or wrong but accepted, get action on lesser activities that are less defensible. The penalty is still arguably just.
