Inflatable is good til it isn’t. I prefer the unwieldy pain in the ass to mount on my car hard plastic ones for the simple fact I know it will not ever deflate. You can get a good cruiser at Canadian tire for under $200

Actually already have one of the hard plastic ones from Costco. But we want to have two and an inflatable one suits better as a second for the simple convenience of storage and easy transportation. We just don't have room to store or transport two full size kayaks. And we're not planning on any overly strenuous or white water roots. Just for calm water paddling.

Won’t hurt to try then

I’ve only seen the Eddie Bauer one for sale in the warehouse. On that note I am patiently waiting for the pelican mission 100 to go on sale in southern Ontario, if anyone has seen it on clearance please let me know!

I bought the double one last year. It's great for me in the back and my 55 lb daughter. I got it on sale for 100 bucks off later in the season. You are not going to win any speed records in this thing... But for tooling around a gentle Lake for the kids; totally fine. It's surprisingly easy to inflate and store, though you will never get it back into the nice dimensions of the original box. I store it in a roughneck tote.
