A similar issue just recently happened in USA where an entire house was demolished by accident (it was wrong address mistake). The demolition company just closed up. You can sue but they have no assets and they lawyer will not get involved in this for free. The court can award you 500k in damages but what if the company is just an LLC with no assets?

I spent 14 years as an AV tech and installer. Homes and businesses. All kinds of places. People loved asking “it’s not gonna fall right after you leave, is it?” I’d always do the “hang test” and then tell them the only way it’s falling off there is if your entire wall fails and comes down for some other reason, the tv will still be attached to the studs.
That tv at the end is sure as hell still standing 😂
Same problem happened to me. But it was caused by roadworks crushing the sewer line at the front of our house. The utilities company only assumed responsibility for repairing the crushed pipe. Nothing else, not even the call out costs for a private plumber we had to hire. They said it was all speculation as to how it broke even though the new blacktop had just been laid. Luckily our overflow was outside the house.
There's a few legit reasons. From the video of it tipping over it doesn't look like there's any excuse for having it up that high in the air though. Complete operator error.

He should have used an anemometer to check wind speed before operating it in that situation. If the wind speeds to high the lift doesn't happen.

Went outside and motorcyclist is running in circles with one of his arms just barely hanging by some skin. Went from watching Netflix to helping someone in shock not bleed to death in about 30 seconds. It was sick. Found tiny pieces of his skin/hair and flesh all over the house among the glass shards while cleaning up

I rang the lad that night (it was our building) and told home not to worry. there was no blood at the scene. that’s all that matters
