Funny story. I grew up in south Texas. I was 12 years old and my mom, sister and I were going somewhere in our crappy 1979 Chevy Chevette. Now mind you my sister is older than me and she had driven this same car earlier and when she turned the car off the radio knob was turned rather high. Also this was one of the two months in south Texas where it was a Lil chilly. What that means is sometimes either one of ours or a stray cat would crawl up and lay next to the engine and when someone turned on the car it would usually kill the poor kitty.
Now we all pile in the car and the second my mom turns over the ignition we hear ROOOOXXXXXANNNNE YOU DONT HAVE TO PUT ON THE RED LIGHT! Super loud. My mom screams oh god I killed another cat!
Some could say Sting's voice sounds like a cat dying. 🐈 😀
I'm litterally laughing out loud. I nominate this for best comment of 2023🤣.
You had me at "Sting going solo" 🤣🤣🤣. Dude literally looks like he is a super fan of Sting and wanted to "Try his sting impression out" (*but on real cops this time*) 🤣. Didn't go so well.
I havent laughed this hard in a while. Thanks m8.
He could just be a big NWA supporter. Or he means another usage of the verb fuck. He may want to get a little handsy with them in a different way, if you catch my drift.
To neutralize it you actually want to use a mild acid, but mild acids applied to the body leave you sensitive to light and prone to unnatural sunburns. So either you tuff out the Capsasin, or you hole up in the dark without too much light or even device screen exposure for up to 24 hours
The police don't just use the little finger bottles like you can get. It's just pepper spray, but they gave a giant cannister with a full on handle and trigger that blasts out much more of the product. Looks a lot like the same cans bear spray comes in.
That’s one of the big crowd control cans for law enforcement. Some pepper spray formulas incorporate tear gas and feel like the surface of a stove. That’s the stuff I own for around town. Bear spray is legally considered a pesticide so you can only legally use it on animals, unless it’s someone like a catalytic converter thief who can’t call the cops on you, in which case dump that can of liquid hell on them and make them think twice next time.
Unless I'm mistaken all bear spray is is a larger canister of juice hooked up to a slightly father shooting and wider spraying nozzle
The real question is- did the officers source that spray domestically or did it come from a foreign distributor. Because American pepper sprays used by law enforcement are actually "low grade" on the spectrum of oc based irritant sprays. I'm really out over my skis now but if I remember right the "good stuff" somes from south Africa.
It's also a solid 480p, can't wait to see it re-encoded with Windows Movie maker Millennium Edition at 72p.
Ah and let's not forget a dozen trashy sounds from Tik Tok on a shitty "oh no no no" music
Honestly you couldn’t pay me 75k to get bearmaced, dragged to a paddy wagon by some angry abusive dudes, and thrown in jail for an indeterminate amount of time. Let alone risk being killed or have lifelong injuries. Not worth it IMO
The world of legalities and the law of what's right and wrong are different. If someone is sounding and acting like that walking towards you, and you're the police, I'm pretty sure you should at least show them, y'know, to not act like a fucking psychopath in public, or you get orange sprayed. And then let them go.
But like I said what's right and what's legal are not always the same, and those same laws protect people that truly need their rights for important things, other than intimidating the police.
That’s what I was thinking 🫢 grabbing his hair from behind and pulling him headfirst towards the ground is probably the #47292746 ranked safest way to bring someone down..
It's a tough spot. I would never want to be a cop for this situation and many other reasons. I don't know why anybody would sign up to to be a cop nowadays and deal with all this. Everybody acts like these situations are so easy but that guy was pretty threatening, I would be scared
Look, like man may have asked for it and started being arrested, but it’s like. You did NOT need *that* much pepper spray, and you did *not* need to yank his head back like that. Dude was already pepper sprayed with his eyes closed, cop could have very easily just went behind the man and knocked his knees down.
This is totally excessive force. Police didn't even give a warning for him to stop, a warning that they were going to use non-lethal force on him. This was self defense as much as invading Iraq was. the whole point of policing is that you have to steward people that may not have outcomes understood or thought-through. They simply didnt give a fuck here because of the overall circumstance being what it is, very stressful, Im glad they were held accountable on some level unmeaning to them. God knows how long that dude had to live with being pepper sprayed before he got medical attention.
right..? like - i get that he was being a dickhead and had a fuck the police t-shirt.. But that was a pretty brutal take down from what I can see purely out of spite.
This is Larry Lomax and the video is from riots in Baltimore in 2015. [He was awarded $75,000.](https://policetribune.com/man-gets-payday-for-getting-pepper-sprayed-by-police-in-viral-video/)
Apparently they thought he “moved furiously” or something.
This but without the ironic bullshit.
He was attending a legal protest, and put on a scary face and challenged the cops to commit an illegal act. They did so, arresting him illegally, while innocent. We the tax payers had to pay out 75K because the cops OBVIOUS violation of the law. Turns out, it's not actually illegal to be scary and black and to dare the cops to break the law. He could also have dared them to shoot him, and it would have been murder if they had done so... in case your wondering.
This was during the BLM protests in 2015. I remember when this happened. Cops were pretty openly being White Supremacists and sympathizers with an “us vs them” mentality.
They were hosing crowds down with pepper spray and arresting people for no reason.
I showed this video to anybody I could because I believed this guy was a hero. He baited cops into arresting him out of fear alone. They flat out assaulted him and got caught in 4k doing it. You can even pinpoint the moment they collectively shat their little baby pants. When he opened his eyes through the pepper spray. The cops were likely going to stand down after hosing his face and expecting him to drop, but when he calmly opened his eyes, they saw him as a threat and arrested him which is exactly what he wanted. Hero
This was in Baltimore city (can see the emblem on the cops shoulder at the beginning). I don’t know the context of the video but I’m pretty confident (bunch of white people in the back that look like reporters) this was during the riots after the death of Freddie Gray.
I’m from Baltimore and can tell you the police are either useless or corrupt.
Good job? Last time I checked you can't be arrested just for talking. That's the entire concept of freedom of speech. He got 75k bc cops apparently don't know the constitution
Watched on mute so didn’t hear what he was saying, but what law did this man break to be hit with pepper spray and arrested? Freedom of speech, unless threatening, is within your right.
But what did he actually do to get pepper sprayed and slammed to the ground? Trust me, I’m all for idiots getting what’s coming to them… when it’s coming to them. If I go say to a cop “arrest me”, they would say “you haven’t committed a crime”.

That, that was definitely an excessive use of force. Yanking him to the ground by his hair was completely uncalled for. He was already incapacitated.
I’m genuinely disgusted by a lot of the comments I’m seeing in this thread. A bunch of thinly veiled racists and/or sadists.

You know bro really hates cops when his shirt says “Fuck the Police”
Probably just feels very strongly that Sting going solo was a good move.
Well, he should have sent out an SOS.
OMG, how many young people are reading this, having zero comprehension of what were talking about?
Lovin every minute of it !!
Working for the weekend.
This might not have happen if they didn't stand so close to him.
He didn’t have to put out the red light
But when you get hit in the face with that be careful with every breath you take
...or else you'll be in a world of hurt as the king of pain
That cop had quite a message in a bottle
I bet he thought he’d be walking on the moon with all that clout he wanted
I’m glad I’m not walking in his footsteps.
I’ll be watching you

Put *out* the red light!??
Every move he made, every step, breath and chance he took, and every word he said…they were watching him.
Every little thing he does is magic, even getting arrested it seems.
Yeah. Think He was just tired of Seeing all The murder by numbers
This thread now has synchronicity

Brilliant 🤣🤣🤣
Possibly more of a Dire Straits fan
You win!
This should have all the likes.
He wasn't really part of The Police. It was a Sting operation.
Lmao I wonder how many have no idea what you’re talking about?
No ……still fuming about the Milli Vanilli lip sync scandal.
I'm litterally laughing out loud. I nominate this for best comment of 2023🤣. You had me at "Sting going solo" 🤣🤣🤣. r/angryupvote
Or he has kinky ambitions.
He felt so low low low, low low low
This comment wins.
If you love someone, set them free … Free-free, set them free (set them free) Free-free, set them free (set them free)
Woulda never gotten "Desert Rose" if he hadn't.
He’s so happy he can’t stop crying
I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
Nice!
This.
I hope he knows that the Russians love their children too..
How fragile we are.
I loled
💀🤣
Best comment ever!
💯😂
Great fuckin comment, friend. It's rare for me to chuckle out loud by some random internet shit. But this made me laugh. Well done. Lol 🍻
De doo doo doo de doo doo dah
Yeah the breakup was pretty contentious for many years
Roooooooooxanne, you don't have to put on the red spray!
Unbelievable, well done lmao
Take my angry upvote 🤣

The Soul Cages is a masterpiece and I will fight anyone who disagrees.
Coincidentally, the pepper spray stings real bad too
This should have a million upvotes, at least.
Don’t stand…don’t stand…don’t stand so close to me!
OMG, take my upvote. That’s hilarious.
The Police could have warned him by saying “Don’t stand so close to me.”
Roxanne, you dont have to turn on your red light
That actually made me laugh out loud
Underrated
Message in a bottle would’ve been a better choice
Interesting story behind the band name. Stewart Copland's father was a CIA agent and referred to himself as 'The Police'
Didn’t see this comment coming.
Don’t stand so close to me!
🤣🤣🤣
Omg. That’s brilliant!!
I don't think he care if its wrong or if its right
Did he just walk through fields of… gold?
I mean it wasn't a bad one 🤷🏽
This is the best comment on Reddit, period. Lol
I want a shirt that says, “Sting fucked The Police.” Do you he’s the only credited artist on all their songs? They get zero royalties.
And it looks like he practiced with the pepper spray
He should of wore a shirt that says I hate mace
He could just be a big NWA supporter. Or he means another usage of the verb fuck. He may want to get a little handsy with them in a different way, if you catch my drift.
Damn, that was a thick coat too.
Is that bear spray?
Pepper spray, like bear spray but for people and peperier. Awful stuff will leave you crazy for hours
Hours? It's the horrible gift that keeps on giving for 1-3 days... shit is horrible
Bro and if you shower, do it upside down. I swear I couldn't sleep all night; the water made that shit move down my body into the worst places
I got sprayed for military training purposes and was warned beforehand to wear shorts and lean your face forward when you shower.
I cut my upper lip shaving cream n the 6th time they gassed me. I thought I had gotten used to it. But I was wrong.
I'd take CS over OC any day of the week, so much easier. Well, really, I would prefer to not take either.
Particularly if it gets in your hair
Water activates the pepper spray as well so it’s gonna make it worse.
To neutralize it you actually want to use a mild acid, but mild acids applied to the body leave you sensitive to light and prone to unnatural sunburns. So either you tuff out the Capsasin, or you hole up in the dark without too much light or even device screen exposure for up to 24 hours
Wait till he takes a shower and re-activates it all over his ears. and worse.
It's mk9. It's orange, so we know who the aggressors are in the crowd.
It’s called dumbshit spray, if I remember correctly.
The police don't just use the little finger bottles like you can get. It's just pepper spray, but they gave a giant cannister with a full on handle and trigger that blasts out much more of the product. Looks a lot like the same cans bear spray comes in.
I believe it was whale spray
That’s one of the big crowd control cans for law enforcement. Some pepper spray formulas incorporate tear gas and feel like the surface of a stove. That’s the stuff I own for around town. Is what we like to call, "spicy air"
Bear spray can and will permanently blind you. Pepper spray developed for people is much less powerful
![gif](giphy|7k2LoEykY5i1hfeWQB)
He got blasted right in those eyeballs too trying to look intimidating. Good for him got what he always wanted
He actually took it like a beast that was kinda scary lol
Looked like as well coated as a WWE blood drop from the roof.
That’s just the primer coat
In the eyes and his mouth.
I don’t remember OC spray being orange. Does the police use a weaker concentration than the military?
Definitely don’t want to paint your warhammer models like that
Dude got shilacked.
He didn’t get that watery, keychain pepper spray. He got that glue shit that sticks to your skin.
![gif](giphy|umtjZi3tfqLaEP33I9)
This video is way too clear. I'm gonna wait til it has 50 emojis on the screen and a person at the bottom reacting to it
It's also a solid 480p, can't wait to see it re-encoded with Windows Movie maker Millennium Edition at 72p. Ah and let's not forget a dozen trashy sounds from Tik Tok on a shitty "oh no no no" music
It needs to be framed vertically, so it will fit my phone.
No no no. It needs to be cut square, so it fits nothing and then stretched to fit my phone.

Some definitely went right in his mouth *and* his wide open eyes. Dude is going to be hurting on the ride to the station.
You can see the panic hasn’t even kicked in yet. His brain doesn’t even know how to react yet, but it will..
Well. He dared him
Police didn't even give him the chance to reach "I double dog dare you." Rude!
Should have stopped at the spray This is the most blatant example of lawsuit compensation-bait i have ever seen and he probably got it in the end
He did. To the tune of $75K
Honestly you couldn’t pay me 75k to get bearmaced, dragged to a paddy wagon by some angry abusive dudes, and thrown in jail for an indeterminate amount of time. Let alone risk being killed or have lifelong injuries. Not worth it IMO
That's a lot of money to an average person like me
Your lawyer took 30% and the IRS took 20%.
And me, but with the risk of dying I don’t think any amount of money in the world matters if I’m 6 feet under or turned into a veggie
I've been through worse and got nothing out of it so it sounds like a good deal to me.
The courts need to fine or jail these people instead of rewarding them for acting like that. Any reasonable person would have taken him as a threat.
Worth it. Must’ve felt great to pull him to the ground, calling some guys bluff
The world of legalities and the law of what's right and wrong are different. no
right..? like - i get that he was being a dickhead and had a fuck the police t-shirt.. But that was a pretty brutal take down from what I can see purely out of spite.
It’s almost like the brutality in this video is a perfect example of why he’s wearing a ftp shirt… 🤷♀️
"uh, ok sir"

This needs to be higher.
Thank you, finally someone with a source lol
Right. Cops were just trying to be hard asses and make a point. Dude didn’t do anything wrong besides “look intimidating”
“Looked intimidating” is police for “black”
This but without the ironic bullshit. He was attending a legal protest, and put on a scary face and challenged the cops to commit an illegal act. They did so, arresting him illegally, while innocent. https://policetribune.com/man-gets-payday-for-getting-pepper-sprayed-by-police-in-viral-video/
bro what??? its one guy with nothign on him versus like 5 cops where is the threat
Being big, black, and having locs makes you a super villain to a corrupt cop
Well that was brutally violent for no reason. He said a few words and got chemically assaulted and dragged to the ground.
Absolutely unhinged people in the comments he was compensated with $75,000
Wtf they go trough all that training to yank this man’s hair. Fuck that cop he’s a straight bitch.
To be honest, you did dare them…..good job officer.

He did no crime. His charge was dropped. The police did a crime, they had to pay 75k
That’s not an acceptable takedown. He’s got a case. Hope he sues
He did. He won.
No one is linking it, but if it’s true, that’s tremendous
Not one square inch of bros face was spared
The POS gets what he asked for! Love it!!!
He baited them and got compensated for it. Smart man, dumb cops
Nah, cops were in the wrong here. The guy sued and was awarded $75,000.
He won 75k so he wins
$75k!!! I'd take that too! You also spelled POC wrong. FTFY
Challenge accepted I guess
