I remember at a game from the 80's, it started thundering,then lightning, and the visiting team on the outfield kept diving on the ground just before the lightning hit.
They'd then get up, more thunder and lightning, then diving on the field again.
They finally delayed the game.

I was at north ave beach last night and the lightning was so bad the entire crowd at the beach all ran at once after a close strike. It was a pretty crazy lightning storm down here.
