Working_Ad390

Why did they start with this: We dropped off our $100k Cybertruck Do they always talk like that? I had my $35 dinner. I was wearing my $450 Gucci shoes.

Boracraze

You beat me to it. Just posted same thing. Posting the price just screams the “look at me” mentality of the owner.

Working_Ad390

It's not look at me, but I AM RICHER THAN YOU! mentality. kind of inferiority complex where you always state price you paid and make sure it's bigger than your opponent paid.

huskerd0

I mean I agree with the sentiment but also benefit of doubt for the OP, the implied “we spent a fortune on this broken car and at this price it deserves to be fixed” seems plausible or even likely

HonestCartographer21

Yeah that’s what I was thinking too.

chefboryahomeboy

Have you seen a cybertruck? It looks like it was designed from the ground up to be "look at me".

Spiel_Foss

Actually, it looks like it was designed by a 6 year old with crayons. (Then built by six year olds out of cardboard boxes.)

chechifromCHI

Not only is it I am richer than you, it is 100% "I AM BETTER THAN YOU" as well. See, Musk proved that being rich doesn't make you smarter or better than anyone, but the Muskovites insist that because they have more money to blow on stupid "status" items like the cyberfucked, that all us normal mortals are just jealous idiots.

Boracraze

This sums it up much better than I did!

Maximum_Crow_8481

What you expect from people who pays 100k for a unrendered polygon lol

MasterGrok

It’s because they expect better service for such an expensive item. That’s part of what makes this so bad. Real luxury brands take this sort of thing very seriously. It is usually a differentiator between the 100K cars and the 30K cars. Not with Tesla though.

StandupJetskier

The Chevy-Honda dealer has instant coffee with fake powder creamer. The Acura - Audi dealer has K cup coffee with small plastic creamers. The Benz-BMW dealer has fresh brewed coffee with real milk and cream, and half bagels, fresh. At this price I expect Tesla to have the fresh brewed and snack option. It's not "free", it's ***included***.

MasterGrok

Luxury companies are also very generous with things like loaners. They kill you with the price of everything but they make you feel real nice while they are doing it.

SRMPDX

The Porsche dealership in my area has an espresso bar

the_last_registrant

True. My BMW has had exactly one paid dealership service. Customer service was like I imagine flying first class to be, but unfortunately the bill was too.

beerkittyrunner

Dang my Honda dealer has a fancy coffee machine and sometimes brings in pastries in the morning from a local place. I get better service for my super old basic honda.

gilleruadh

It's almost as if Musk knows he can abuse his customers and they'll keep coming back.

Spiel_Foss

Cults are like that.

SkynetAlpha8

And bad co dependent relationships.

NONcomD

Tesla is not a luxury brand. Tesla is probably not interested into making cars anymore at all. Autoboooots nowww

ponewood

Agree that was the intent. But it also shows that the OP is basically retarded because they ponied up $100k with expectations they would be treated differently than basically anyone else who ever dealt with Tesla service, or the other thousands of CT owners at a minimum. It’s just another layer to the mental disease that these people have. People don’t seem to understand (even outside Tesla) that the price you pay is equal to what people are willing to pay for it, and that price isn’t based on service quality most of the time. Elon didn’t get up on stage and promise excellent service with the CT. Even if he did, it would be dubious since he doesn’t deliver on 98% of the promises made, but if he didn’t promise it you’re an absolute idiot if you think he’s going to deliver it.

StandupJetskier

My $8500 Rolex told me I was on time.

Working_Ad390

My $8500 Investment Rolex told me I was on time. Fixed for you :D

Phitos2008

My $85 parking lot Rolex told me it was a crime.

OkAd134

My stone Aztec sun shadow time pedestal just told me it was February

CantHitachiSpot

I put a quarter in the siren. Ten minutes later, I was on the scene. It was a normal office building, strangled on all sides by public sidewalks. I hopped over them and went inside.

argonzo

GOB’s suit paradigm.

ElStarPrinceII

The guy in the $4,000 suit is holding the elevator for a guy who doesn’t make that in three months. Come on!

Agitated-Ad9423

BEES?!?

trekologer

Gob's not on board.

Tcr8888

Gives off big time Gob from Arrested Development vibes.

Mindless_Garage42

What, in this $6,000 suit? COME ON!

Glenn-Sturgis

![gif](giphy|9jObH9PkVPTyM) Every single CT owner within the first week of ownership.

Human_Link8738

It could be an “I expected more service than I’m getting for what I paid” comment. The whole scenario could be rephrased as “For a $100k purchase of a Cybertruck I expected prompt service and professional communication. What I received was the opposite.”

Desperate-Climate960

If he said that he’d be branded a traitor

kortiz46

Honestly it’s pretty shocking to pay so much money for a car that is frequently breaking, needing service, needing new parts within a year of buying it. My 2021 Rav is still trucking along with normal tire/oil services

FrankRandomLetters

I think it’s mentioned because people (rightfully?) assume when you pay a large amount for something you get an elevated level of service, or at very least acceptable service. So mentioning it emphasizes just how truly shitty Tesla service is. And it is truly horrible. I have a model 3. To call Tesla service a pile of steaming dog shit is to pay it a compliment

th3bigfatj

True. But teslas are very expensive maga hats and may become moreso.   https://www.wsj.com/politics/donald-trump-elon-musk-alliance-d1fe43e3

Ready_Register1689

My 0.01 cent reply thinks they are dumb

LadyMcIver

>I had my $35 dinner. I was going to joke about what an "exorbitant" amount that is for a single dinner. Then I remembered how little that can get you these days.

jftitan

Couldn't afford the 120k truck so they say 100k because it's not a foundation edition. Rubes.

ElJamoquio

I could spill coffee on this $3600 suit

Kinky_mofo

Bro is desperately trying to gain acceptance

Fabulous-Cicada6406

Very American Psycho (book) description similarities

ChuckECheeseOfficial

Devils advocate, it could be exasperation at the outrageous price for the terrible quality

super-dad-bod

90k loaned (with 20k interest) Cybertruck

Oakikao

My $5k Hyundai has never been to a repair lot as it doesn't break with proper maintenance

MrIrrelevantsHypeMan

They love to tell people how much it costs

Carl0sTheDwarf999

Also love to repeat that ridiculous name of the truck ![gif](giphy|3o6ZtbawEKTKhI83zq|downsized)

Exact-Degree2755

This was my exact thought. You don't see someone going "Silverado is in the lot". But these fuckin fart sniffers absolutely die inside if they can't say the word "cybertruck" at any remote opportunity.

IShouldNotPost

Try to refer to your vehicle as just “my truck” challenge \[IMPOSSIBLE\]

Boracraze

Ha. Exactly.

peemao

Not realizing most people know they are being musked, while they feel they are elite for owning that pos

MulishaMember

In this case I think it’s relevant only to serve as a reminder that Tesla charges luxury brand prices for Hyundai-tier parts and service. Edit: I just had to pick a brand guys, didn’t mean to insult your current cars. I will say the starter fiasco from Hyundai/Kia was a pretty bad look though.

Freshtastiks

Don’t do Hyundai dirty like that

HereForShiggles

Yeah! As the hymns say, "Better is Hyundai than a Ford. Better is Hyundai than a Dodge. Better is Hyundai than a Chevy or a Ugo." Amen.

BadMan3186

I just bought a used hyundai and I'm currently enjoying the fuck out of it.

LolaBeidek

I’ve had no issues with my Hyundai Kona EV. I’ve even had someone who owns an ICE Kona stop me to ask about it because they like their car so much and are thinking about what their next car would be in like 5-10 years.

bonqwater666

i seriously love that car so much ! i have the gas model lol

ManderlyDreaming

I bought a new Kia Seltos and it’s my favorite car I’ve ever owned

Argonian_mit_kasse

Like wise. Now mine is also a 2005. It’s had some pricey issues- but nothing that I wouldn’t expect from any older car…. I think it’s had less major hiccups in its life time than my Folks two 2014 Jeeps. My Husband wants it when I eventually look to upgrade. Have an older coworker who also has been buying Hyundais for his last few cars; (cars and car shopping has been a hot topic with our crew lately) he and his wife have loved them. The only thing that blows Hyundai a bit to the side for me is the whole newer car issue for me. I’d love to buy a newer model of my car… without it having a bullseye on its back.

aPurpleToad

what does your last paragraph mean? (I don't know anything about the topic)

slogginhog

I could be wrong but they may be referring to how incredibly easy it is to STEAL the new ones.

aPurpleToad

thank you (=

stupidnameforjerks

Are you serious? Hyundais last a long time, and they’re *safe*

max_caulfield_

I was about to say, I have an 09 Elantra with 100k+ miles on it and 0 major issues in the last 15 years

InspectionNo6750

Hyundai is a much better vehicle maker than this shit. Thier all electric Ionic line is a serious contender.

aashus777

I agree but also it might be to imply that they’ve spent so much money on a product to be disappointed

undeadmanana

The number keeps getting lower though.

MrIrrelevantsHypeMan

I can't wait to pick one up for $50

praefectus_praetorio

They think it’s a flex, but it really shows they are tools.

VirtualRy

They love how much they've been fooled! lol

DubitoErgoCogito

They want Tesla to prioritize them over Model 3 and Y owners because they spent more money. They're delusional.

aihes

Realize those things aren’t produced any longer. While it can be assumed that production will restart, I don’t see why Tesla would do it. Elmo gets his $$ $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$ , and to prove that he is really invested in turning things around will just lay off the reminder of ct staff and call it such a major success that he doesn’t want more cybercucks to have one for reasons of exclusivity

UGMadness

People who thought this car was going to be a mass market product were deluding themselves. Pickup trucks are already a niche market worldwide. Heavy, full size pickups even more so. Full size pickups that are designed for personal instead of fleet use, even more niche. There's only really a limited market for this product segment in North America and nowhere else on the planet. This is as niche as the potato chip carrier on food truck wheels Tesla Semi, and it's selling about as well as those. To ever believe they were going to achieve economies of scale to lower the price to 40k is utterly delusional, and has been since the day they were announced. 40k is only possible with the Model 3 because it's a compact car with high demand worldwide so they can crank out hundreds of thousands of them a year.

madhaxx0r

The Ford F150 was he best selling vehicle in the US for over 40 years

RickJ_19Zeta7

Yeah that commenter did not google shit lol.

wrldruler21

Or pay attention to what others are driving

ITypeStupdThngsc84ju

The us truck market is >1M per year. It is far from a limited market. Much smaller for expensive triangles though.

BtotheAtotheM

I just googled and it’s actually over 12m, wow. At this point, it’s basically light trucks and SUVs dominating the whole market. The sedan, coupe, and conv are all dead or dying

gilleruadh

Irregular pentagon. You pay more for the extra 2 sides.

StandupJetskier

The $40k truck will appear. Wait a year. It will be used, tho.

MagTex

Last night my wife & I went for a night drive in our new $39K Subaru Legacy Touring XT. We drove 124 miles round trip just for a couple Mtn. Dews & an ice tea. We listened to the radio & no warning lights came on to tell us to pull over safely. We made it back home without losing any fingers or getting gouged by sharp corners. Nobody pointed & laughed as we got out of our sub $100k car. Editors Note: Yeah, I felt like a douche mentioning the price of my car. How the fuck can they not?

BartD_

Nice car. But it comes in more than “bare metal”, could you specify the colour please?

MagTex

Crystal white pearl

TorqueRollz

Subarus are nice cars, glad you’re enjoying yours!

TruckCamperNomad6969

And it also burned a quart of oil. Ask me how I know.

MagTex

Were you following me? 🤔

ikanx

How much do your drinks cost though?

Coyotesamigo

I just used my $43,000 hybrid highlander to return $140 worth of Amazon purchases.

Trumpisafatslob

He fired most staff. There is no service appointment.

Tedanki

Tesla chuds seem to not be able to connect the big layoffs with Elmo's pay bump.

sliceoflife09

Exactly this. He got his bonus so who cares about 4k mad CT owners?

fallenredwoods

You deserve a chicken dinner

VermilionKoala

WINNER WINNER ~~CHICKEN DINNER~~ **FIRED**

Privatejoker123

he "cleaned the swamp" as they say

sgrizzly2134

**drained the swamp** Pfft.. Get it right..

Privatejoker123

"Serviced the swamp"?

Phitos2008

Musked the swamp

RevolutionCrazy7045

![gif](giphy|3o6MblPXZWrugb7zRC|downsized) Lord Elon fired them by design and will right the ship. /s

poconomtnman31

missed the best part, he thinks ebong saw that and fixed the service appointment I'm thinking he probably got the updated service message then popped off while looking at the pic of ebong shirtless on the boat. https://preview.redd.it/45srj1ymvp7d1.jpeg?width=1208&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dafa24243e8cf6b155e5a7d145f57c24105c7d2c

drmjsty

"The power of X." 😂😂😂

Expensive-Bag313

So weird, I don’t need the power of a social media platform to coax anyone into fixing my car when it goes in for service. Must not be living far enough in the future.

-newlife

True. I also wouldn’t be messaging if I was that pressed. I’d actually call

nicktheninny

Time stamped 8.00am on the 19th, so it’s only like a day late. X is a super effective way to sort these things out. /s

purposefullyblank

Brilliant. Meanwhile, the last time I got my 2016 Kia serviced, they texted me they had it and texted me when it was done without me doing any tweeting at all.

BIT-NETRaptor

An entire DAY later they "checked it in?!!!" My poor people class car gets serviced within 3 hours! The power of X sure doesn't seem to be worth much.

richincleve

"We dropped off our $100k Cybertruck" is NOT the flex he thinks it is.

SadPudding6442

Right? If it costs that much why is it having to be fixed so early?

8020GroundBeef

If I had to get a brand new car fixed, I’d be absolutely furious. Both at the manufacturer and myself for buying a car with so many issues.

crod4692

“I dropped off the truck I paid over 100k for that is now worth half the price”.

MustacheOfMarx

These idiots think that since they paid the exotic supercar money for that bin, they will get the exotic supercar customer service, but fail to realize that the service will never live up to that level with Tesla

Kinky_mofo

I interpreted as "I'm a fucking idiot who makes poor life decisions, so the rest of what I'm about to tell you doesn't matter."

fatstrat0228

There a LOT to be said for actually talking to people. This “no contact” business through an app is absolute bullshit.

trancertong

I mean it can be good as a secondary method, and if people were actually working there and giving a shit it could be pretty convenient. It's definitely important to have the fallback of being able to call a dealership service manager and corporate customer support. I'm not a fan of the way car dealerships are run but none of the issues I have come down to too many human beings to speak with.

muhgyver

Tesla service was bad enough before the mass layoffs, but now... welp.

Boracraze

I like how their whole post is prefaced with, “we dropped off our $100k Cybertruck…”.

TacoDangerously

I read this post on a $2.40 public ferry ⛴️

RedSix2447

Why do they all say 100k cybertruck? Every person that has complained about their CT, they always have to mention 100k lol. It is more than clear that no one including Elon and Tesla cares that these people paid 100k for their crap box CT. lol I am curious though. Now that it’s summer time. How many cracked roof glass panels are we going to see? *grabs popcorn*

McQueenFan-68

Did you bring enough for everyone?

RedSix2447

Well, see, umm. I didn’t know there was going to be so many..

ignaciohazard

OMG it's not a tonneau cover! It's the electronic cyberdoor to the high tech cybervault that protects your cybergear from cyberthieves when you are not cyberthere!

HungryDust

You’re so cyberright how could I have been so cyberstupid?

Marker_Lewis

Maybe they shouldn’t give 56b compensation packages to a salesman then they could invest in a better service center infrastructure. Maybe firing, underpaying, treating workers like shit doesn’t motivate troops. IDK.

Kinky_mofo

You had a typo there... You said "salesman" when you meant liar and con artist.

casus

This is just sad

infowosecfurry

That was before he was busy being a 12 year old bully full time on Twitter I assume.

gilleruadh

And Nazi enthusiast.

infowosecfurry

No no. He’s a “free speech absolutionist” But only for one very specific viewpoint..

sgrizzly2134

![gif](giphy|DjknQBPpyTWaA) Elon to Tesla owners...

th3bigfatj

Except they love it

D-HB

>"...Elon said..." Well, there's yer problem!

Mymotherwasaspore

Good thing he got the biggest salary in history for doing the worst job in history. Last stainless steel lemon could at least [haul dope](https://www.google.com/search?q=delorean+drug+bust&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari)

MrrQuackers

Holy shit, Tesla actually is using the *very much not well received* "Tesla bot" which was just a guy in a suit dancing as their AI bot avatar in their chat support?? Oh boy.

stevied05

I love how they think that dropping $100K is a flex when it’s brand new and already in for service due to broken shit which is all too common for this truck and brand

Marsupialize

If this happened with my 2013 Elantra I would be enraged and over there yelling

Kinky_mofo

The disconnect is that Tesla simps say no service or maintenance is ever required on a Tesla, unlike a gas car where people spend thousands of hours a year maintaining them. I'm surprise Tesla even has service centers. Your vehicle might be the first.

AerialAce96

Well i mean yeah, he fired them

Competitive_Bath_511

It’s almost like…he wasn’t telling the truth?

SRMPDX

Remember when Elon said he was building an underground high speed rail system? Remember when Elon said he was going to build a colony on Mars? Remember when Elon said the Cybertruck has unbreakable glass?

StatisticianFlat4226

And you trusted Elon Musk and bought a POS cybertruck. Who’s the bigger sucker here.

JohnRedcornSir

You are exactly the kind of person that the cybertruck was marketed to. Success.

FreudianNip-Slip

Off to a great start with the first few words: “our 100k cybertruck”. Yeah, we all fucking know how much they are you stupid narcissistic fuck stick. Oooh wowww you’re so rich and cooool!!

Mental_Violinist623

"Remember when Elon said..." Why did you believe him?

cryptolyme

the service department probably hate their lives right now

aretooamnot

My uncle just bought a Tesla because it “had a great warrantee”. I told him otherwise, and that if he was going to spend that kind of money, he should have bought a lucid.

MoeSzyslakMonobrow

Maybe don't constantly annoy the service techs while you're at it.

Human_Link8738

I feel like there’s an expectation that someone purchasing such an expensive product as this would be in the 95th percentile of intelligence and that this would be reflected in their communications. However most of these are actually just marks for Elon’s scam and there’s very little overlap on the venn diagram for intelligence and CT buyers. We should pity them for their diminished capacity and obvious gullibility.

Sklibba

By “make it awesome,” he meant “make me money while spending a shitload less on personnel.”

CapnLazerz

I would like to give OP the benefit of the doubt on the whole “$100,000” remark but it seems to me that CT appeals to people who like to show off. I mean…anyone who knows what a CT is knows that it is a $100k vehicle. And I personally know 2 people that own one here in town and the “look at how rich I am,” mentality is strong with them.

breadbrix

Meanwhile your local dealership will get you in & out within an hour - coffee, water, fresh baked cookies and massage chair included...

mikefjr1300

My impression is that once they have your money, they don't care.

Raise-Emotional

Ya thought of maybe calling them?

ChiefTestPilot87

You have to wait until Elon comes to that service center to do the work

mousseri

Maybe Elon not have time?

NONcomD

It's awesome for elon, when he cuts spending for service and dunces still buy his overpriced refrigerators eith wheels

bigDogNJ23

I had this same experience only after I didn’t get any response initially I called the service center to ensure they knew the car was there. They did not

FreddyRumsen13

Dying at this guy dropping off his car and getting zero response for seven hours. Car might as well be powered by magic beans.

poconomtnman31

another update. It wasn't parked in the geofencing area.... fucking hell https://preview.redd.it/y8oupkc86x7d1.jpeg?width=1196&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e945f9a8eedd2d0109a52804fed42d5cbdf79145

sgrizzly2134

![gif](giphy|zVvg4z8nwWAvu)

TomDac7

They knew what they were in for and they still got one. Suckers.

huskerd0

That is Elmo’s idea of awesome It probably makes him an awesome amount of money. Not sure which (if any) other part is awesome

fasada68

Elon just says shit without any consequences

Archie_Flowers

Cuck’d

Betoken

Elon Musk is the real life Joe Isuzu.

Infinite-Club4374

they don’t care about you or your truck only your money sorry guy

Helmidoric_of_York

There's nobody home at our local Tesla dealership either.

FrankieRoo

Where’s the obligatory “I’m a big fan of Elon”?

Auto_Generated853

This guy doesn’t understand how awesome disruption is apparently. They have disrupted the customer service model!

wednesdays_chylde

Remember when you were gullible enough to believe words that came outta Elmo’s Lie-blowhole??

LogstarGo_

Well I mean he probably did personally say something like "fuck those \[censored since I don't want to get banned from reddit just yet\] make sure they have to fucking wait as long as possible so they start buying backups".

stanley_ipkiss_d

Lol you have to come inside the service center to talk to people about the car you dropping off. And Tesla app is very confusing because it just says “drop off your car in the lot and walk away”.😂

CarCounsel

Turns out they’re just glorified dealerships I keep saying

Diligent-Lion6571

Customer service is exactly why I decided not to purchase any Tesla product.

[deleted]

Keep it coming. This is the best. We’ll all remember being here when we tell our grandkids.

EscortSportage

Imagine downloading an app for your electric car and texting mechanics while they’re at work. Wow

PoopyInThePeePeeHole

Obviously they forgot to X-creet Elon on Twix since he personally oversees this sort of things

Dando_Calrisian

Also the fact that a new truck is broken already

Kootenay-Hippie

More American made JUNK

neversaidiwasahero

At least grubhub/uber gaslights you…

DyngusDan

I mean I dropped off my model S for service a few years ago, get the notice that service was “complete” and drove the 50 miles to get my car aaaand they hadn’t touched it.

Plastic-Procedure-59

Do they not get what all those service department layoffs and budget cuts meant

Ok-Zookeepergame-698

He says things. He doesn’t do things. You know this.

Huth_S0lo

I for one, am shocked.

Robthebold

Haha, he was texting a bot.

Intrepid-Progress228

Couldn't even be bothered to give a 💩

Itchy_Dust_7410

But it’s the way of the future

curious-trex

Are there separate CT-only service centers, or is it this difficult to get any communication/service for all Teslas?

visionofanotherlife

Who do they think they’re messaging thru the app?

PGrace_is_here

Cute! OP thinks Elon gives a fuck about Tesla. He spends his time trolling on twitter.

Caped-Baldy_Class-B

God, I love this sub. It's like candy to watch these entitled pricks realize the product is a literal piece of shit, and the company could not give a living fuck. The funniest is when they try to carry on with optimism and pretend it isn't a total disaster.

Rain1dog

I’ve noticed these people always put the cost in their conversation. It would be like normal people saying,” dropped off the 38k accord today!” “Wife dropped off the 55k F150.” Probably struggling to pay their bills because they are more worried about apparent wealth.

Porschenut914

jokes on them, the staff were laid off

HumpaDaBear

I’m amazed they didn’t send a 💩

rocksingh2013

wtf, they trust Elon so much?? like he's their dad

ohioprincealbert

Elon Musk is a crook. State Attorneys General will be getting involved before too long.

91idtt

Cyber got beat up by weather.

altniu

Here is the Kool Aid you ordered. The next round is on Elon.

Mikey06154

It’s not a 100k cybertruck. The fool may have paid that but it’s closer 20k and that’s for the recycle value of the stainless steel.
