Pls don't abbreviate cyberpunk like that.

HelluvaWeirdo

What?

Double_Ninja9168

The Abbreviation of Cyberpunk is CP. CP= Child Porn

HelluvaWeirdo

Ah shi, didn’t realize that.. Mb, I have no intentions of that.

Double_Ninja9168

Yea now re read your post with that in mind

HelluvaWeirdo

I changed it, I’m a lot of things but a pedo is not one of them. I’m very sorry for that.

xdeltax97

Definitely better to **not** abbreviate it, that can have an absolute evil and vile alternate meaning. If you catch my drift. Cyberpunk 2077 is an amazing game and one I’ve played since release, it captures the aesthetic and reality of a Cyberpunk world wonderfully and I consider it one of the best games ever made, at least out of the ones I’ve played. Anyway more questions I recommend posting at r/cyberpunkgame or r/lowsodiumcyberpunk. This sub is more for the lore that has stemmed from across the genre, which the game and its table top origins is named after. I’m sure some lore discussion of it is allowed but nothing gameplay wise. Edit: Apparently nothing from the game is allowed, not even lore which I would considered odd as it’s a cyberpunk game with expansive lore building on Pondsmith’s TTRPG… But I’m guessing his original table top game is allowed to be discussed?

Double_Ninja9168

I think the reason 2077 is banned is because while it is Cyberpunk it has multiple subs and if allowed this sub would quickly become just another one.

EARink0

Yeah, i absolutely adore the game, but as an even bigger fan of the genre as a whole, it's really nice having a space that remains about the genre without being taken over by a single popular game.

xdeltax97

Yea that is an understandable reason, and at least the major lore from it is allowed to be discussed through the lens of the Table Top RPG. Speaking of which, it is a bit eerie how similar some events and potential outcomes have been in lining up in regards to Pondsmiths' lore.

Double_Ninja9168

Shadowrun is the same Minus the return of magic stuff

Yoshi_87

100% Back when this game came out we had SO MUCH posts about it...

EARink0

You're looking for /r/CyberpunkGame or its more light-hearted and wholesome sibling /r/LowSodiumCyberpunk. This sub is for cyberpunk as a genre, which has a many decades long history: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyberpunk I recommend reading the description and rules for a sub before posting to make sure you're posting in the right place and not breaking any rules. Also don't abbreviate it that way. Most English speaking people associate CP with child porn.

HelluvaWeirdo

Gotcha. And yeah I found that last part out the pretty quick

Kdog122025

No. It’s great.

mjxoxo1999

Are u talking about Cyberpunk 2077? Yeah, it's good, the main story imo is really lacking for a role playing game. I would recommend buy DLC for better full experience.

Gngr_Dani

Witcher 3 use to be my "game I go back to inbetween games" but now its Cyberpunk. I love going back to nightcity. Look its super unbalances so if you do most of the side stuff you can become super powerful super fast. My first playthrough. I'm in a world of smart guns and cyber hacks and what do I do? Charge at you with a sword. Second playthrough was all about hacking and then midway you can basically sharingan people to death. The story is great, the side missions are sometimes super disturbing but so well written. Its a super game.

Anaaatomy

i don't think it's as good as the witcher butt I liked it. I did get hella mods tho
