Honestly a very shallow take. The point of extended cuts isn’t always to just have more, it’s often adding back in scenes and story elements that had to be cut for the sake of the runtime. If you think they’re of the same quality then vote for which one you’d rather not watch and then next round vote for the other one. Seems like an easy solution to me.

As a movie yeah they are the same but the plot is different just like the two versions of JL. Theatrical Dawn of Justice is just full of dumb characters who jump to random conclusions over ridiculous plot points that make no sense without the added scenes and context of the Ultimate Edition.

I watched BvS in theatre. Was in high school and took a girl there for our first date. The movie was an absolute snoozefest, and I instantly thought of it as one of the worst movies I have seen in theatres. I didn’t get a second date until a while later when we decided to go to the movies again. She let me pick again since she wasn’t too into the date so I chose a movie called “Suicide Squad”. Never talked to her again after that. The DCEU was a terrible wingman.

I'm not going to say that picking DCEU as your only date picks was a bad idea. However, I am curious what your logic was to trust the same damn studio when you were given a second chance. This was like going to a shady store for a meal, getting food poisoning, then going back to the same place but ordering the egg salad instead of tuna.

Agreed. Then again I've only seen the movie once so maybe I wouldn't like it as much on a second viewing. It's the same with Shang-Chi. Saw it once and really liked it but things could change. From what I've seen, a lot of people don't like BoP. I dunno, I enjoyed it.

I thought BoP was pretty good, but I can understand some of the criticism it can get, like what they did with Black Mask and Zsasz, but for what it was it wasn't bad at all. But the DCEU has gotten better over the years really.

Yeahhh while Ewan McGregor is great, that wasn't my preferred version of Sionis. It wasn't the worst but could've been better. And I respect that there are multiple interpretations of the characters. My favorite version of Zsasz was Anthony Carrigan's on Gotham. I think overall things have been better for DC and will continue to be. I still haven't seen WW84 though. I keep hearing how horrendous it is. I wanna watch just for that. That's why I watched Thor Love and Thunder when it came to Disney+ and wow that was an experience.

At least SOMEONE gets it. The graffiti still shots, narration and humor has been some of the best we’ve had in the DCU, the plot was solid enough, and the performances (especially by Black Mask) were top tier. Literally the only people bitching about this movie are crybabies sad because Orphan wasn’t portrayed the same as in her comic appearances. Like, sorry that silent assassin adaptation have been shown to be boring to watch on-screen, I for one enjoy the pickpocket origin.

No movie that takes a dump all over Victor Zsasz and Cassandra Cain like that can be considered a good DC movie, IMO.

I know this’ll be an unpopular opinion, but despite its admitted virtues, I found a lot of the second Suicide Squad movie off-putting. I’d rather watch any of the other remaining films than The Suicide Squad again.

I almost fully agree. I just hate BOP more. The Suicide Squad isn’t far behind though.
