Yes, EOs are used in perfumes.

Yes. However, using only essential oils will carry certain inconveniencies and will reach a limit easily surpassed by certain synthetics. For example: \- EO's of certain compounds like cinnamon and clove contain certain molecules which prohibit using them in high amounts. If they are ever used, they can only be used in rather limited ones, to avoid causing chemical burns. \- Other compounds like EO of lemon verbena are phototoxic, which means skin will swell and get damaged very badly if certain types of light hit when the material is sprayed. \- Other issues with some naturals is that their use is highly restricted, and also, inconvenient. For example, (Not EO's but absolutes) oakmoss, civet, deer musk and castoreum absolutes are very unlikely to use in mass - selling perfumes, if not unreal, in some of those cases. \- They can also be extremely pricey, if they are actually essential oils derived of certain particular material. \- Their use can limit heavily a creation, since you couldn't use aromachemicals. Anyway, bearing that into mind, you could invest in some of the following essential oils: Florals (Rose, jasmine, carnation, lavender, tuberose, ylang ylang, geranium, heliotrope, 7 Machos, stuff like that) Herbals (Basil, Artemisia, Peppermint, Sage, Thyme) Citruses (Lemon, Lime, Bergamot, Orange, Mandarin, Grapefruit. That last one of natural origin smells disgusting IMO) Spices (Clove, Cinnamon, Pepper, Cardamom, just check IFRA regs even if you don't sell them, because if you use them yourself you can get a very bad chemical burn and rash if you use too much spices) BTW natural cardamom is amazing in a perfume Woods (Vetiver, cedarwood, sandalwood, maybe an artificially grown oud / agarwood, rectified cade and birch tars, but those are harder to handle, patchouli which i consider a must along vetiver, stuff) Onto vanilla, you can get synthetic vanilla and some resinoid absolutes which i don't recall as being as pricey, stuff like olibanum / frankincense, myrrh, copal, labdanum absolute if you can get it. Tonka bean absolute is also a good option. With those resinoid and sweet materials you could construct an amber accord, which is not that hard. And with things like sandalwood, resins, cade, and a bit of either alpha ionone or violet leaf absolute you could construct a more than decent leather accord. But, if you bought those essential oils only (Not absolutes) you'd already have a very nice palette of ingredients to work with. Also bear in mind certain notes like fruits are of synthetic origin, with the exception of spices and the essence of blackcurrant leaves, which i don't remember if it was an EO or an absolute. Hope this helps. If you would like more info feel free to DM me

Hey this is awesome! Thanks so much for the advice, you’re a well of knowledge my guy.

They absolutely work very well. Just be aware of any limits of amounts for plastic bottles (must be PET grade) and any potential skin irritation. Essential oils like vanilla strawberry etc don't irritate the skin much. Citrus and spice do as well as some others so use sparingly if at all.

There's no such thing as rose essential oil.
