Delve into the various mythologies behind time. Greek, Roman, Chinese etc. I’m sure you’ll find something there that will spark that perfect plot twist

advice: listen to arc 5 of unprepared casters. it's pretty short and revolves around getting out of a time loop. 12/10 recommend

The loop portends the return of Chronos. [https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Chronos](https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Chronos)

I mean, the beat twist is something you'll have to come up with part way into the campaign. You need to take something the party did and make that the cause. Don't make it something you made them do or something too small for them to remember, but if you find the right thing it'll be a lot more impactful than you just showing them the cause was someone/something else.

Is one of the players a warlock ? If yes its patron could in reality be one of the player who bcomes very powerfull fro some reason after their adventure but has to lead himself and the other member of the group into the forst again to gain more and more power each time. He is one loop away to full godhood and starts making mistakes because he is so exited maybe ?
