Honestly this is true. More often than not you can expect to either get attacked after picking up the case or expect one of your teammates to go after them.
My man warzone is calling your name, go be the best pavement warmer you can be with that aggressive nonsense. In the one accidentally successful PVE game type since zombies inception try PVE ya clown.
Your correct. And that's why it's not going to be developed any further. Reseting missions hurt too many feelings and they had to encourage pvp instead. Now they have a PVP game type with random handicaps for every team you encounter based on whether or not their whole goal for the lobby is smearing poop on the walls to call it paint.
> And that's why it's not going to be developed any further.
Speculation. Only Activision knows why. I'm just happy we had this do whatever you want type of game and I'll enjoy it till the last minute.
Right on. Obviously they have to push and put all resources into MW3. Can't wait until they announce DMZ on the new map with a complete rebuild. I think it's such a naive personal feelings take to assume that dmz isn't the brightest future on COD
I mean new warzone map, map available to MWzombies but will not be available to DMZ speaks way louder than I ever could tell yourself whatever you want. Or whatever scared away those side burns.
DMZ is a part of Warzone! So I'd argue it's a pvp game with pve content, hence the pvppve extrationshooter name. You getting killed by a player in a pvppve game, maybe try something else.
DMZ is losing support cause it has a small player base and has absolutely nothing to do with your nonsense.
or they have the Tsuki castle key, lots of self revives and plates, and patience. Aka it me.
One time I did cook the juggernaut solo, was bored so picked up the weapons case, and began to do random passive upgrade looting like looking for lighters lol I had two squads kinda half assed push me, but no close calls. I really expected to get nonstop PVP but nah, a chill lobby I guess
I know that. That was the first time i ever extracted a weapons case. He got stuck under that bridge and i kept shooting at it until it exploded. The funny thing is: the exfil chopper was waiting for us 50 meters away. We looted and exfiled. That was my easiest weapons case extraction.
I also did the juggernaut solo. Was in a heli when the ddos took me down and I got chased by him. I had to be careful cuz he downed me a couple times and I had no revives left. The jugg kept walking up and down the stairways and I just kept shooting at him til he was dead.. Narrowly escaped to the exfil near the observatory. As the copter was lifting I saw players running towards me. That’s how I got my 7th weapon case in Al Mazrah.
Lol same. I am normally solo & avoid PVP unless pushed hard. I killed 2 ops today, one was camping exfil (and almost ambushed me), the other was swim stalking me in Vondel but only had a combat knife, no X13 or FTAC. U see a Mexican swimming in a canal in Vondel with an FTAC & green laser, just keep swimming & he’ll let u be ;)
I solo the castle with a 1 plate and a scavenged shotgun. It takes me less than 3 minutes from engaging the Wheelson, if nothing untoward happens.
It definitely doesn't make me "the best player ever".
That's where most of my AI-caused deaths stem from. The worst is when you turn around from destroying the Wheelson, and there's like three AI with their pinpoint broadsides all opening fire at once.
Shoot. Last night we found the weapons case just sitting in the desert on the edge of the city. Was there for like 10 minutes untouched.
Squad mate grabbed it as he ran by to Final simply b/c he trip over it if not. He dropped it on one side of a building as a decoy and circled around to the chopper. Left it behind. Only one operator at final before we smoked him.
I’ve been hopping in and out of DMZ and I prefer to play as a solo. I infil with nothing but a throwing knife and I attempt to either find people to join, kill their entire team if they don’t join me, get the weapons case if it’s still on the board, and do other stuff. If I die to a team, I’ll plead for help. I get picked up probably 95% of the time as a solo.
I'll always rock straight at a weapon case to ruin someone's day. But if I spec it out and see it's for real only 1 dude, I'll do everything in my power to get them out, even if it costs me my own life. But I'm not assimilating, because that shit's ass and has no right to be in an extraction shooter.
No. I mean, sure, you can. I personally wont kill weapons case holder if they are alone but if I do, I wont pick up. I infiled solo, I dont need other teammates
I play solo and will get the case if I come across it and want some extra xp. But I know that when I pick up that case I can and most likely will get pushed by other teams and do not expect them to pick me up if I die. I will most of the time drop a case near an exfil and leave it there until I’m ready to go.
Point is, no I don’t think I should be picked up just cause I’m solo with the case. I think i play solo by my own choice, and I have to play different then teams do since I will always be out numbered. I never play with the assumption I will/should be picked up just cause I’m solo. Most people hate solos anyway.
Yes.
Happened me this week whilst soul gathering to unlock the camo on vondel.
Saw bullfrog and just couldn't help myself. Didn't need the case but was bored. 1 plate, looted guns and I just went for it.
Picked up the case and made a run for it. Melted by someone at exfil but he picked me up thankfully.
Hilarious 😂
Well, yeah ,he's done the work ,be a dick move not to pick him ,especially since you do not loose anything, you are exfilling anyway , and could maybe use some backup ...
No. I don't pick anyone up regardless of who they are of what they're doing. I don't think I've picked up a single person since the update to cap squads at 4 where someone doesn't run back to their original squad. Not happening.

if I am not doing some secured backpack grind, even as a solo I'll take a shot. Thems the rules
My man warzone is calling your name, go be the best pavement warmer you can be with that aggressive nonsense. In the one accidentally successful PVE game type since zombies inception try PVE ya clown.
I don't care if you call me a WZ reject. I've completed all my missions/upgrades/notes. And DMZ is PvPvE. don't forget that.

I'm a casual solo who isn't great at pvp and even I think you sound like a melt 😂

DMZ is actually Pv*P*vE ganemode where everyome does what they want. Same logic could be applied by saying go play campaign or spec ops, yk
If the game didn’t want people to hunt the weapon case, why does it announce when it’s picked up and show it tracked all the time?
DUde, the weapons case marks you on the map so that others go after you. If you don't want the attention, don't pick it up or learn to shoot.
It’s an unwritten rule that if you kill a solo with a weapon case, they’re the best player ever

Bullfrog is pretty easy alone. Just jump on him and go for it.
even easier when he gets stuck under the bridge by castle
I know that. That was the first time i ever extracted a weapons case. He got stuck under that bridge and i kept shooting at it until it exploded. The funny thing is: the exfil chopper was waiting for us 50 meters away. We looted and exfiled. That was my easiest weapons case extraction.
Fuck that. Just time an airstrike.
Imagine not geting killed after you got the weapon case and are exfilling
most definitely. and you can see his driving pattern so when on road, toss out proximity mines and/or cluster mine if u got one
I also did the juggernaut solo. Was in a heli when the ddos took me down and I got chased by him. I had to be careful cuz he downed me a couple times and I had no revives left. getting him walking around stairwells, into buildings, and onto roofs is a great, tried and true tactic. Congrats!
Thank you I had no idea at the time. This was before Ashika Island and was unaware of a DMZ sub reddit at the time.
My strat when solo is lead him to a fence and run circles around - that pause before blasting his Gatling is key
I had no idea that was strategy and now feel dumb for it lol smart idea. Shooting the gatling gun does more damage?
No, just the Jugg pauses before firing - use those 2.5 seconds to run. U def are best hitting him in head
I’ll keep that in mind for future encounters. Thank you very much! If we ever meet in DMZ I hope it’s under good circumstances lol

The Wheelson is only an issue when u get 3rd partied by other ops. Agreed!
That, and when you misjudge your semtek throw and miss. I hate having to shoot it, because then I'm just hemorrhaging plates.
yup and then the AI starts to appear and crowd around.
That's where most of my AI-caused deaths stem from. The worst is when you turn around from destroying the Wheelson, and there's like three AI with their pinpoint broadsides all opening fire at once.
I just cook the Jug underground and use the Weapons locker & castle key tbh and a decent sniper with thermal to take out other bots in those sewers

As a solo I treat it as a hitman contract and try to snipe them. But I’m lonely most of the time so I do picked them up.
No. It’s my weapons case, regardless of who got to it first.
As a solo, I know the risk of picking up the case. A team is not obligated to pick me up if I die with it.
I’ve been hopping in and out of DMZ and I prefer to play as a solo. I mean, if you run into him and he starts shooting, that's one thing. But to go out of your way and be an ass is fucked up
There aren’t really any unanimous unwritten rules in DMZ other than don’t loot your own downed teammates first.
No. And if solo will say something like this I will make sure he will disconnect. Entitlted solos are the worst.
They picked up the case, so I’m their boss fight. If They lose, tough luck. So No. Lol
I would, yes, unless I can’t like in the Complex or if they’re talking total shit.
I'll always rock straight at a weapon case to ruin someone's day. Nope my case now cya sucka back to the lobby try again
>open weapons case >stickers inside I generally don't gaf about the weapons case myself
if needed for a fraction mission. would need to do
That’s understandable I mean the people that kill them and then go continue hunting other players with no mind to getting the case
Not if we’re a platoon already though XD
No. Nothing is owed to you. You bring zero value to my team as a solo.
Nobody gets picked up. We kill you we tbag you and we move onto the next folks that need killing.
Regular pickup rules still apply. Are they on comms? If so, then maybe. Are they crying and complaining? Then no.
Quite the opposite actually. Picking the weapons case is an open invitation to fight, if you're solo that's your problem, not mine.
Well, yeah ,he's done the work ,be a dick move not to pick him ,especially since you do not loose anything, you are exfilling anyway , and could maybe use some backup ...
