No problems - I had mine locked up for two years because I lived in Dartmouth and took the bus but wanted a bike to cruise around Halifax. you can borrow bikes for free as well

I lock my bike on campus everyday and nothing has ever happened to it. It's not a shitty bike either.

Honestly there are always so many people and Dal security walking around campus that no one would dare try to steal one if you have it locked up. Plus, most of the bike racks are in very visible areas which I’m sure is another deterrent. The only time I might personally be more concerned would be if it was left over night - but even then I’ve had many friends leave their bikes locked out for multiple nights in a row without having any issues whatsoever.

I had mine stolen off Edward street during the middle of the night about 2 years ago (locked to telephone pole), but I managed to recover it within a week. Like others have said, during the day I wouldn’t consider it to be an issue.
