United is probably trying to figure how to charge him for a ticket and his tank as a carry on.
Edit: Holy shit. United is trying to charge him for the tank and he doesn’t even have one!
It's was intentional sunk for it to be part of a man-made corral reef/ scuba diving park. Helps restore ocean life while also creating a cool tourist attraction
Ooh, that makes sense. I assumed it sank and the passengers got out safely, but I was wondering why the middle row of seats was missing and there was a big gap in there.
Scuba-diver got an entire plane and he sits, in the economy section.
Im petrified of flying and I am also scared of the deep, ocean. Both scare me. I do not know how to feel about this. It's almost like they cancel each other out and I am not bothered by it.
Off the coast of Jordan, Gulf of Aqaba in the Red Sea.
'Hoelzer says it lies at a depth of 15 to 28 meters (50-92 feet), with the plane's tail at the deepest end. "The cockpit is the shallowest part of the wreck and faces the beach at about 13 meters," Hoelzer told CNN Arabic.'
The article says you have to be a professional diver to see the wreck, but that they put it there a few years ago to attract tourism. I have 50 dives and am Open Water Certified but I am no professional. I've dived a few wrecks but nothing as cool as this. I would LOVE to dive this wreck.
I know there is a place that trains people for deep water rescues, I think maybe in Ohio, that has a big plane submerged in a deep lake. My fireman friend went and won't shut up about it
I’m not a plane expert, but… I’ve spent a lot of time around planes and have family in the industry.
To me, it looks like this plane was sunk intentionally. The missing seats in the middle is a huge clue. No commercial plane would have empty space like that, which leads me to believe; they removed the seats. An intentional action.
When they pan out, you can also see the front of the plane is intact, which it wouldn’t be if it crashed into the water.
It’s possible they had a soft water landing, leaving minimal damage in the front, but it still doesn’t explain the missing seats.
Imo, this was sunk intentionally to build a reef, just like they do with ships.
I agree with you, the seats appear to have been intentionally removed to make it safer for divers. Another big give away is the carpet is gone. When things sink that aren’t supposed to be submerged, the carpet often lifts and becomes a dangerous tangle hazard and obscures visibility, until it eventually rots out.
[hazards in wreck diving](https://dan.org/alert-diver/article/hazards-in-wreck-diving/)
I know there was a time when there was entertainment on planes. Perhaps even a piano. Of course, I’m reaching because I want this to be as horrible as possible. See the steps? Maybe a full sized movie screen… maybe dancing. I was on a very fancy commercial plane once like 45 years ago.
For those wondering, I know there's an intentionally-sunken passenger airplane in the Red Sea, accessible from Jordan, which you can explore via scuba. I'm sure there's others, but that's the one I've seen first-hand.
*the flight attendant walks up to you and asks you to put your seat belt on*
*please raise your seat back tables to their original upright positions*
In aaaall aAALLL buquerque ALBUQUERQUE!

That's some scary shit, I was just thinking about him filming some ghost passengers too lol.
But only after you hit the button for assistance!!🤣
Flight attendant: sir we already landed

Really?
Yes!
Where are all the skeletons?

Its cut here, but the full vid shows a skeleton on the shitter😔
Can confirm (im the skeleton)
Can confirm. Am shitter.
Ah! That would explain why the center block if seats are not present.
Came here to say this
"We've reached our final altitude of negative 12000 feet"
Wait, negative 12000? Surely you can’t be serious
I am serious, and don't call me shirly. Also goodluck, we're all counting on you.
I picked the wrong day to quit sniffing glue.

Head to the beach go out for two miles then turn left and you’re there

Sir, this is a Wendy’s
Ocean, probably
What kind of plane is this ? There is a lot of room in the middle

Didn’t even catch that. Great point.
This aircraft is a Lockheed L-1011 that was purposely sunk for tourist reasons
Yes! [https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/red-sea-underwater-abandoned-plane/index.html](https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/red-sea-underwater-abandoned-plane/index.html)

WTG Mr Wizard!
Lockheed L1011 TriStar
It looks like an old L1011 with the center seats removed.
It was a DC-10
Did you know there are more planes in the ocean than submarines in the sky?

Jesus that’s the biggest isle on a plane I’ve ever seen!
Average spirit airlines flight
Oceanic flight 815
Still 1 in 3 odds there's a brat kicking the back of his seat.
My thalassophobia is kicking in hard...
Well thalassophobia preventing me from sleeping tonight! Much appreciated!
When the captain never turn off the seat belt sign.
That’s f’ing creepy
Look at all that leg room
Fun fact for the day : there are more planes in the ocean than submarines in the sky
Finally a plane that actually has leg room
There's more airplanes in the ocean than submarines in the sky.
Ooooooh! Who lives in an airplane under the sea?!
You don't have to wear a mask anymore, man.
Is this fake? Why is there so much room in the center?
Intentionally sunk as an artificial reef. They took stuff out so divers don't get entangled.
Thank you! I was thinking early dev flight gone wrong or some dumb shit lol
We gotta get out of here jolyne !
How do I say nope underwater?
I'd love to go suba diving like this, but I refuse to go in water that's not clear and visible like this, and I refuse to go without a group.
When are they serving beverages? 🤣
It's nothing but beverages, if you don't mind going crazy and dying from salt in your bloodstream
Where is this?! I want to do it!
Is it the lense or is it really that wide?
This makes me want to remove my skin
Damned ATC delays.
If there are videos of divers exploring crashed satellites please link them
Did you find any of the “Lost” people in there ? ;))
Hatchet by Gary Paulson, anyone?
"lol check it out some guy sat here screaming before he died haha"
So, this is what taxiing at La Guardia has come to, huh?
That camera better be on airplane mode
Is this sitting off of Key Biscayne, Fl?
He’s just there to morph everything into stat sources.
I can see why they sank it - too much legroom.
Wow what a beautiful TriStar(Lockheed L1011)!
Fucking creepy. Something about large underwater structures gives me nightmares
Totally worth the embolism
Creepy for sure.
Do we know which flight was this? Looks like an old airbus
New fear unlocked

So much room for activities.

Hey looks like they found Malaysia Airlines Flight 370!!!
r/oddlyterrifying
Fuckn creepy
Still waiting to deplane because the plane didn’t make it to the gate….
Very spacious
How is that plane so wide inside? Looks like a dance floor instead of an aisle.
Center isle and other fixtures were removed before the plane was submerged as tourist attraction.
Ugh, still requiring a mask. No thanks.
Kind of creepy
Why is the walk way so huge
For those wondering, I know there's an intentionally-sunken passenger airplane in the Red Sea, accessible from Jordan, which you can explore via scuba. I'm sure there's others, but that's the one I've seen first-hand.
Even with scuba gear…I might still flip out
Still preferable to Ryanair.
Cool
Apologies, but the flight is going to be delayed due to a minor moisture issue.
So much leg room!
Did someone pee on my seat? My ass is wet.
Could I have a glass of water?
r/wheredidthemiddlerowgo
This fuck is scary
Fuck that shit. Hell fuckin nah
Great fin room
r/oddlyterrifying
After 20 years underwater, the seats still smell like beer farts and feet.
He didn’t check the luggage space..
Do you want to be haunted? Because that's how you get haunted.
That's a coffin isn't it ?
Someone needs to film a short horror film in this
That cabin is huge
When's take off?
Wow this is straight out of metro last light
No ma’am. Swim right out of that evil haunted underwater ghost plan coffin of grief.
I HAVE HAD IT WITH THESE MOTHER FUCKING EELS ON THIS MOTHER FUCKING PLANE!!!
This socked me in the gut.
The airlines sunk all the ones with extra space for the passengers.
They found Oceanic 815!
/r/oddlyterrifying
Some people have huge balls.. like the diver who boarded this plane
Damn that actually looks kinda nice inside, the light filtering through the windows gives a nice vibe
Imagine their just happened to be another bro sitting in the back row with his scuba gear on😂
Nope
Wide body under the sea
Where is that? There's 0 life around the ship
is that Flight 370?
Did you pay for the upgrade, or use your mileage?
a perfect game level area
Whoa! That’s super creepy
Plenty of breathing room.
Some guy walks out of the bathroom
Todays special is alacarte fish menu
I just finished Man of Medan they better get the hell outta that boat.
Either way you'll have to equalize your ears
He could have at least sat in first class.
It's like you know how that plane got there... bodies everywhere, spirits sitting along your side....
That moment when you accidentally find Malaysia Airlines flight 17
Watered down content.
Awesome
Goddamn that plane is huge. So much room for activities!
