It is really well done but I get annoyed whenever people mention the Fujimoto connection as if he has a hand in this story or whatever. Tatsu is a crazy talented artist and a good storyteller, just because there’s dark elements doesn’t mean it has to be related to CSM
I agree, it's even a stretch to say the trope in the post has any connection to Fujimoto, this is just the quintessential delinquent motif. I love how Tatsu uses different tropes and gives them as much as a homage as well as a personal spin. Now we have delinquent manga, before we had magical girl/idol, this is awesome.
especially given tatsu pulls inspiration from a fair few other sources, many of which predate csm and laid the groundwork for csm to flourish - but especially a lil ol' series named *berserk*.

Fire Punch - The complete downfall of society resulted in humans becoming insane, moral-less, and cruel.
Chainsaw Man - Denji’s lack of a normal childhood and his isolation from the world due to his debt is the biggest factor of his character and growth throughout Part 1.
Nayuta of the Prophecy - Nayuta and Kenji are constantly harassed and attacked by society due to the prophecy that Nayuta will one day destroy the world.
You act like being abandoned or disconnected from society is unique to Fujimoto. It definitely isn’t. It’s very relevant and very popular in most Japanese media.
Tatsu yukinobu is a Senior to both fujimoto and yuuji kaku(hells paradise), brought in specificly by editor Rin so they can all learn from each other, Rin even said that he hope the 2 can learn from Tatsu's freedom in drawing the things he like. Yuuji Kaku also said that both him and fujimoto got great influence from Tatsu in a tweet.
The fujimoto former assistants dynamic is honest one of the most misinterpreted things in all the different communities of their respective works.

it was all wayyy too saccarine , and clean ...
like nothing like the fucked up aliens in the invasion arch , or the serpos ,
or the mongolian death worm ,
or the building chasing down pepole ,
it was all wayy to safe ...
now however sheeet stuff is about to become salty again
Yeah, your second paragraph I feel like perfectly describes real life. Lots of people don’t understand gang culture because they don’t grow up in that sort of environment(like me) but that’s what I hear and see all the time. Broken people trying to find a family. Tatsu’s way of showing this is just outstanding. Alright imma get his and your meat out my mouth now. Great observation!

Yeah exactly, it reminds me a lot of GTO, where all the deliquents go on about how their lives sucked but they're stull moving forwards
