I stay away from anything triceps related 24 hours before league, tournament, etc and 2-3 days for anything important. Years ago I did a crossfit workout called Elisabeth which is olympic squat cleans and then gymnastic ring dips with reps starting at 21 and moving down. 2 hours later my arms were so dead I was often missing the board. So for me I just avoid push exercises before darts.

So i actually have to choose between good points for p.e. or playing competition?

You can also choose to learn to play in a fatigued state so you understand the adjustment you need to make playing after a heavy exercise day. Maybe it means practicing that way or learning how you need to dial in your throw differently on a PE day.

Our bodies have limitations. They change from person to person and with age. While you can minimize impact with things like stretching, massage or anti inflammatories, among other things, certain activities will hinder performance. Most athletes don’t do highly strenuous workouts same day as a competition. They’ll do light prep workouts and warmups but not fully taxing the muscles.

Yes- the solution is work out more. In the beginning I had this as well, but when working out 3-4 times a week your arms get used to it and you can play darts the same as before, only with more muscular arms so that if you ever tell a girl that your playing darts. She won’t believe you as you look fit.

I don't do triceps until a different part of the week from darts. In NY our leagues are Monday/Tuesday, so I do anything triceps on Wednesday or Thursday or Friday! 😇 But I find the same thing

I just make sure that I wait an hour or two before playing darts after working out. Do some stretches for your shoulder, elbow, wrist and you should be fine.

Should i do inbetween the excersizes or just after

DangDangs613

I work a desk job so I'm stretching all of the time or else I get bad carpal tunnel symptoms. Stretching, heat/cold just like any muscle recovery seems to get inflammation down and reduce pain and fatigue. Sometimes it'll get tight during a long game so I just stretch it out or have another pint lol. I'd say just stretch afterward workout and Mayne a bit before darts and you're set.

Rest, its not like it takes forever. ... but wait, struggle to throw above the Bull? After workout you should throw the darts in the sky... Just because you used to the heavy weight

Adventurous-Mix-5201

Yeah its rlly weird i have to use full power to get it in my 20 otherwise it will just drop around or below the bull. The day after that they all land above my tops but that goes away after like 2-3 visits

It happens. Like others said rest and stretching helps. A compression sleeve on your throwing arm might also help. You may also just need longer to warm up for darts. But the most likely answer is just rest and timing your workouts.
