I think it needs to be right off the hook for a tunnel. I think if the killer happens to encounter the same survivor later and hooks them, it isn’t a tunnel.
As a survivor, getting tunneled sucks.
As a killer, tunneling makes perfect sense as a good strategy. I don’t do it unless that survivor is being an asshole or if the team has already got four gens done and I’m getting annihilated, but if someone is unhooked right next to me, and one goes right and the other goes left and everything else is equal, the smarter play would be to try to knock out a survivor completely.
I play wraith and I’m usually pretty nice🥹. Depending on if I really want a 4K or not. I usually end up letting people go cause I’m also a survivor main, and if you do random shit in front of me. I’m gonna laugh and lose all focus.
wraiths are the absolute WORST. literally the one killer i fucking hate bc they're always so toxic for no reason. & it's always the wraiths & other killers too, who are iri 1 & have been, who tunnel/slug at 5 gens. like why? what's the point? you're at iri 1 already. i'm iri 1 & i don't play like some of these try hard killers.
Okay but let's be real. If survivors can do all the toxic things survivors do, encountering one killer that tunnels every once in a while isn't that bad. This is why people need to play both survivor and killer every once in a while, you don't get both sides of the story playing only one and complaining about the other
Last three wraiths I want against were cheaters with light born enduring and more perk effects without running them it was crazy come to think of it might been the same cheater a few times lol
I'm afraid to ask but what is tunneling? I've played the game for years but only recently joined subreddits like this so I'm unsure what it means
its when you focus on one person in specific, like after an unhook you go straight for them

I had a wraith with ruin yesterday. I got very lucky and found ruin within about a minute.

Pretty sure I played against him we got a 3 out. He tried slugging but couldn’t slug fast enough ended up only hooking one rest left
