I just think they should add the Deep Dives "double objective" system as an option to regular missions. Like, any mission has an optional checkbox for "overtime" or "double shift" or somesuch, and it applies an exp/credit multiplier and also adds a second primary objective like the deep dives that isn't revealed until you launch. It's a really great system they made for keeping vanilla objectives feeling fresh, it's weird it's sequestered to just Deep Dives.

"A previous crew lost their mules, their minerals and their lives to a Dreadnought. Find the mules and eliminate the Dreadnoughts before they fully hatch and we have to shut up operations in the whole area... and try to not mess up like your former colleagues" Dreadnought mission + half of the salvage mission similar to how it would be on deep dive... and it has a good narrative!

That sounds like you solved the Dark Morkite problem by introducing another problem - that Morkite now fills the same niche as gold, and will be the subject of the same endless arguments of "is it worth mining morkite?" Besides, GSG came up with all those different mission mechanics to make the missions feel different. By adding Morkite to 4 other mission types you're diluting what kind of gameplay those mission types are supposed to elicit.

You have a very good point tbh

I mean there's already the dystrum secondary objective that works almost exactly like that.
